Now I know that even if they don't ask, tell them what I'd prefer anyway. Lastly, the portions are big enough to bring leftovers home which is a big deal for me since eating out can be expensive. As for the restaurant itself, it's modern and clean. Beware that if you end up sitting facing the windows like I did, I was blinded by the sun shining off a car window, so I had to scoot all the way inside the booth. It's because the door is made of glass and unlike the other windows it doesn't have signs to block glare. When I was about to leave, I told them there was no more toilet paper in the restroom and they went out of their way to stop what they were doing to get more for me. Apparently, the cabinet inside the restroom was empty, so one of the employees had to call another employee for help and they found more in another cabinet outside the restroom. I quite enjoyed my experience here and just writing this I'm already craving more of the food I had ordered.

This last visit (April 18) was the worst yet. The drinks are actually great, the bartenders know what they're doing. That's the only redeeming part of this place. Now the sushi... completely different story. It took an hour to get a lobster roll, and what showed up had little to no lobster. It was mostly shrimp, not even a mix, and to make it worse, there was visible shrimp vein (yes, the poop tract) still in it. Completely unacceptable, especially for something being sold as a lobster roll. (See photo.) It also took another hour to get just three types of sushi, and the yellowtail was cut poorly, chewy and full of muscle, not clean or fresh. At this point, this isn't a one-off experience, it's a pattern. I've given this place multiple chances, and the food quality and timing consistently miss the mark. If you want good sushi, skip this place. If you want solid cocktails, sit at the bar and leave it at that.

This follow-up review is long overdue. I feel the need to stir up some Yelpy interest or we are…read moregoing to lose this (hate to call it this, but it's true) great, hidden gem of a sushi place. Oh no! They have an impressive menu, very diverse. I like that you can order either large sushi rolls, or the smaller, Happy Hour, 5 pc. size so you can try more and not hate yourself as much when you waddle out the door. The rolls are beautifully made, made with very fresh ingredients, the ratio of rice to filling is perfect (i.e. not too much rice), and the rice is nicely flavored. Their tempura has great flavor, the poke salad is outstanding, the miso soup is rich, not watered down, but the biggest "prize" IMHO is the fish collar (kama), either salmon or hamachi. Here is where you separate the men from the boys. They do not sell old kama that has come from a food supplier's bag, frozen. They only use fresh, the same quality as their sushi, because it comes from the same whole fish they have selected to filet for sushi. Taste it and you know you have hit the jackpot. Before they broil it, they simply slather Japanese mayo on it and salt & pepper. There is something about the mayo that makes it sing a whole new tune. The kama is moist, tender, and comes with their tasty, house ponzu sauce. It's a real treat. Bonus points for being very reasonably priced relative to other sushi houses and they tend to be larger as well. To take advantage of the Happy Hour menu, it is available every day of the week. Monday through Thursday until 7pm, Friday through Sunday until 5 pm. It's an abbreviated menu but has great choices, fairly priced. Their service is tops, seating is limited (probably not more than 40), the interior is warm and quaint, and parking is no problem. And don't forget to respond to their friendly farewell with a duplicate, heartfelt "See you tomorrow" as you leave! Enjoy!

NOT! grilled and again, bland The only item that had some kind of flavor was the vegetables. Adding insult to injury, you should've seen the bill !!!!! I met up with a coworker, and we both got their combo platters. I went with the three item with marbled brisket, cheddar, jalapeño sausage, and baby back ribs for my sides. I got their french fries and coleslaw. Each platter also comes with a slice of cornbread. I'll say that the barbecue here was excellent. brisket was nice and soft and just the right amount of inter-muscular fat in each bite. The sausage was good, but what I was most surprised about was the baby back ribs those ribs were actually really good. I've been to a lot of places where the ribs are a tad bit dry but these ones were nice and soft with a nice smoky flavor it was actually one of the better baby back ribs I've had! Apparently, there are a lot of people who know about this place so if you want to die in here during lunchtime, consider coming a little bit earlier because there's definitely a lunch rush. I came here at 11:30 and it wasn't that four but as soon as noon hit the place was packed! Everyone was really nice. The person at the cashier explained the menu because we mention it was my first time there. This is definitely place you want to check out if you're in the area and if you like some good barbecue!

Absolutely loved our recent experience at Boonsee Thai Kitchen in Norco! The food was a delightful explosion of flavors. We tried a bit of everything: the Crying Tiger beef was tender and the dipping sauce had a punch of flavor, the Chicken yellow curry was incredibly rich and creamy, and the Crab fried rice was a savory delight. Love love love the food. Passing through Norco , had a chance to visit Boonsee Thai Kitchen. I had Pad Thai, Pad See Ew, Green Curry and Papaya Salad. The taste was authentic. I left with a full stomach and the amazing experience overall. When I think of this place I always think of their delicious tasteful Pad Thai. The texture of the noodle is firm and soft not mushy like many places. The sauce is what makes the dish so savory with the combination of sweet, sour and salty(sugar spice, tamarind sauce and fish sauce) Totally recommended. The place is also very clean and welcoming. We've dined in, ordered take out and ordered delivery through Uber Eats...all excellent experiences. Especially with Uber Eats, our food came within 13 minutes and still hot! Boonsee does it right as far as variety. There are so many options, carnivore or vegan. I love my steaks, I eat meat almost every meal...but sometimes I want to eat all veggies and this is the perfect spot for that. The food is so flavorful and satisfying, you don't miss the meat. That's a very good, tasety place that has some good food choices from any regular Thai dishes to your favor specials like pad Thai. The service people were nice and attentive , welcoming us to th table and their establishment. Some lunch specials may have increase in price but this is just accross the board right now so I would not worry about it. I really wanted to like this place but, only some of my expectations were met. The fried rice was delicious and the customer service was great. The sweetest people ever. However, my chow mein and soup were great o salty and killed the flavor. My friend got the yellow curry and pad Thai and liked his food, so maybe they just messed up on my order. The food was ok. I ordered fried rice and it was shredded crab that was extremely dry and non noticeable. I could not see the crab as it was located on top of the rice. The egg was extremely hard as it was scrambled on top. There were three pieces of shrimp in the entire meal. Very expensive for such poor quality. They have authentic Thai spicy food and they also have kid friendly menu . I am shocked at how small all the portions are. We spent over $80 on pad Thai, a curry, orange chicken, and a pataya salad for 3 people and still hungry. It was all basically kid sized portions. Maybe they treat their Togo customers different than people who sit in but I am just shocked how we got basically nothing. read more

Nice little spot, we go here when visiting family in norco. Wish Coto de Caza would have more traditional food like this near by. Family enjoys coming here. The stew with flame on center really kicks if you like spicy food. Great spot read more

Great food and service. Food is delicious and the tai tea is awesome! I recommend the pad thai because it is not very spicy and it is sweet. Glass noodles are also kind of spicy but very good. Overall a great restaraunt. read more

However, the service was very disappointing…read more When I placed my order, I originally selected three entrées but decided to cancel one and replace it with a different dish. It took about 40 minutes just to get our drinks and have our order taken, and then another 50 minutes for the food to arrive. I politely asked several times when our food would be coming out. The restaurant was not very busy and there were several open tables, so I wasn't sure what the delay was. After waiting an additional 15 minutes, one dish came out, and a few minutes later the rest of the order arrived. Unfortunately, the server also brought the entrée I had clearly canceled when placing the order. I explained that I had canceled it, but she insisted that my mother had ordered it. I calmly told her that I was the only one who spoke and placed the order--my mother hadn't even asked for anything. She continued insisting that we keep the dish because it was already made. When I politely declined, she pointed at my mother and said she had ordered it. My mother responded that she hadn't even spoken. At that point, the server raised her voice and became aggressive, saying we had ordered it and had to keep it. Her attitude shifted completely from polite to confrontational. We remained calm and did not escalate the situation. Eventually, when she realized we weren't going to argue or cause a scene, she took the dish back and walked away. That reaction was completely uncalled for. Additionally, I observed something else that was concerning. A group of African Americans and Hispanic men came in, and there were about four tables open at the time. They were told they had to wait 40-50 minutes to be seated, while other guests who came in after them were seated right away. From what I witnessed, it felt discriminatory based on how they were dressed. That was very uncomfortable to see. At the end of the day, this is a business. We can't pick and choose who gets service. Everyone deserves to be treated with respect. This is my personal experience and observation. I won't take away from the fact that the food was delicious, but the customer service was awful and the delays were absurd. If a restaurant is busy and the food is this good, there should be enough staff scheduled to provide proper service. Because of the service experience, I will not be returning.
