I got to be one of the first people to try their new menu item, Nom Tok Moo, and it was a fantastic grilled pork dish with lots of herbs and spices served with sticky rice- it was wonderful. I've been trying to find a great Thai spot bc I feel like a lot of places stopped trying especially with common dishes like pad Thai but I was pleasantly surprised that the food was flavorful and came out in a reasonable time. Treated me as if I was a regular. Sweet girl up front offered water as it's 90 degrees out she's a sweetheart. Food was delicious., my plate was made fresh to order. Of course I had to start with a Thai iced tea: not too sweet, just like the ones from the street stalls. The King 9 combo surprised me--the crab rangoon was creamy and so good. All I can say is disappointing. I'm baffled how a business can have so many good reviews and have sub par food. I eat Thai food all over So Cal, and I'm talkin 3+ times a week. The Pad Thai was mushy, and flavorless. Yellow Curry was also flavorless. These are two signature dishes that hard had to screw up. The service was fine, but the restaurant was warm, and our water had very little ice. Auntie is the sweetest, my sister and I ordered roughly 30 mins before closing because we just moved to the area and are unfamiliar with timings and stores but also I forgot food at home from La. She waited so patiently for us to get to the store 2 mins before closing and the food is just so incredible. The portions are so generous and the her hospitality was second to none! Came here because it was close to my work and I've been trying to explore all the food options in the area. I ordered the lunch special spicy fried rice with shrimp. The order came with a side salad and two pot stickers. Flavor: I enjoyed the food. The rice was more on the dry side, slightly, which is usually how I like my Thai rice. It's not good when it's mushy. There was a nice kick to it. It was perfect with a splash of soy sauce. The shrimp was also really good. Side salad - really good. I loved the dressing they put on it. I thought it was ranch at first but I don't think it was. Chicken pot stickers - mediocre, I think I could've done without these ! Would probably just ask for extra salad if possible next time. Price: They have a lunch special option for 10.95 or a regular item for 11.95 The lunch special comes with a side salad and chicken pot stickers. Meat is available as an add on ($2+) for the special. It does come with the regular menu item. So depending on what you're looking for, you might find more value in that. The meal came out to about $14 I did enjoy the meal! The BBQ pork could have been a bit more tender. Some pieces came out tougher than others. I would have liked the egg to have not been so well done. And I would have liked a bit more sauce to coat more of the rice to get more of that BBQ pork flavor with every bite. Pretty good first impression. Ordered their yellow chicken curry, orange chicken, fried rice? broccoli and chicken and beef soup. The food was absolutely delicious and the yellow curry was amazing.
