A solid local bagel shop. We don't come for the frills but rather the simplicity. I've ordered single bagels with the cream cheese inside and also on the side, and sandwiches. All have been great! You can always customize what you want but definitely double check to make sure its made correctly. There are some young adults behind the counter and they do forget things from time to time, even toasting the bagel but mistakes happen. This is the best bagel I've ever had hands down. I am a huge bagel person, and Boopa's does it right, and authentically. Prices are great as well. One thing I'd throw out there for the owner/management. The inside could use a little face lift. The food is incredible, but we're in a day and age where aesthetics are almost equally important. Boopa's Bagel Deli is a great hole in the wall bakery. Everything is always fresh and delicious. My personal favorite is the egg w/ meat & cheese sandwich on a jalapeno cheddar bagel. I also like the Boopalaches - which are kolache's made with bagel dough vs whatever regular kolache's are made of. It's a unique twist on a classic. I will say though that they are a bit 'tougher' than a normal kolache, but that's to be expected with the bagel dough, so go in knowing that before you order. They finally reopened after so long! I was so sad and depressed for the past couple of months when I wasn't able to satisfy my cravings for their lox bagel. What was life? The anticipation paid off. I love this place. It was my favorite neighborhood bagel shop before we sold our house 2 years ago. I still make the drive every once in a while. The folks there are young, nice and welcoming. My order (of three bagels) was incorrect. We came at 10:15 and they "were out of plain cream cheese". How does a bagel store run out of plain cream cheese on a Sunday? My everything bagel was barely edible as it was hard as a rock on the exterior and dense and hardened on the interior. Our two plain bagels were nearly flavorless and had a flour-heavy interior that were underwhelming. We were excited after reading the reviews but very disappointed. read more

Never heard of this spot but went to work early and found this place close by... toasted salted bagel with lox and all the fix'in's... the original owner Holly stopped by which says a lot... forest and Johnathan helped me out with the best service. I hate reviews like this but I also believe in making my reviews accurate and not biased. I've been a customer of Boopa's for years. Holly and Lisa built this shop into amazing quality. I've seen it declining since Holly sold out. Over the last year I've been coming in less and less, due to the price increase AND decrease in quality. Often times walking in on a weekend to find one employee working because "running late". Limited quantities early in the morning because "running late". The boopalaches are so popular. They raised the price and the bagel is much harder at times and much less flavor. The lack of the same quality has been very evident. Today I came in at 7:30am to get some Boopalaches. They've been open since 6am (or supposed to have been) and several employees inside. Not a single Boopalache in the case. Then they say it will be another 20 minutes for some to be ready. Those cases are full that early in a Sunday morning. Their response .... "Sorry we were running late this morning". Enough. You can't raise prices and lower standards and quality and expect customers to put up with it. I don't mind raising prices if the quality is there. Time to find a new place. read more

Awesome bagels and friendly service! Met the new owners of Boopa's at an ice cream shop a few miles away. They told us to swing by so we did! So many options, you just have to come back each time to try something new! I had the chocolate chip bagel with strawberry cream cheese. (This is honestly my first time ever seeing a chocolate chip bagel so I HAD to get it!) My other order was the classic Lox on a Poppyseed bagel with honey walnut cream cheese, everything added. (Capers, onions, tomatoes) gotta have it all! My bf got their sausage egg and cheddar cheese on the sun dried tomato bagel, and Thailand chicken on I think the Asiago bagel. Everything was super good! Freshly squeezed OJ sold in the front, with their hand made cream cheese spreads! Definitely grabbed one of each. We also grabbed some of their blueberry muffins and their boopaloches, I think that was the name for it but I forgot, it was still super tasty! They have a huge variety of their cream cheese options, from gourmet to light and sweet. A choice of bagel for everyone! This is not Boopa's. The new owner needs to change the name. This isn't the legacy of Holly and Lisa. I worked here for four years, many years ago. Holly instilled in us that customers come first and we make a quality product. Now? Customer service is awful. It's like they don't want to be there serving customers. I was trained to immediately greet people as they walked in the door. This no longer happens. I was trained to be fast and efficient. That is definitely out the window. I used to be in and out with no problem. Now it takes about 20 minutes, if not longer. I don't know if they've changed the recipe or if they're leaving the dough in the walk-in refrigerator for too many days, but the bagels do not taste the same. Also, why are there donuts and a lot of other pastries? I've also worked at a donut shop. Bagels and donuts are way different. You can't make a quality product of both at the same time. The last time I went in and asked for a certain cream cheese I was told, "We don't have that flavor today." What? today? This is a bagel shop. You should have all the flavors on all the days. I've talked to customers who were daily regulars, and they've stopped going because this business has gone downhill. The owner took a well-established business and ran it into the ground. I'm not sure how they still haven the doors open at this point. On my final visit I left without anything. I promptly got in my car and cried. May sound dramatic, but I spent 30-40 hours a week there for 4 years. It's like returning back to your childhood home and to discover a new family living there and that they've completely trashed the place. read more
