A solid local bagel shop. We don't come for the frills but rather the simplicity. I've ordered single bagels with the cream cheese inside and also on the side, and sandwiches. All have been great! You can always customize what you want but definitely double check to make sure its made correctly. There are some young adults behind the counter and they do forget things from time to time, even toasting the bagel but mistakes happen. Just make sure to pay attention when they're making your order. There are small tables in the back but most people order to go. For me, you can't go wrong here!

This is the best bagel I've ever had hands down. I am a huge bagel person, and Boopa's does it right, and authentically. Prices are great as well. One thing I'd throw out there for the owner/management. The inside could use a little face lift. The food is incredible, but we're in a day and age where aesthetics are almost equally important. Even just a paint job would go a long way (get rid of the yellow). Will continue to suggest this place for breakfast dates and to friends!

Excellent service. Greeted with a smile and "good morning". Variety of tasty bagels. Small and quiet dining area. Good coffee.

They finally reopened after so long! I was so sad and depressed for the past couple of months when I wasn't able to satisfy my cravings for their lox bagel. What was life? The anticipation paid off. I devoured this in 5 minutes and I'm a pretty slow eater. So you know what that tells you. The staff are always welcoming and take the time out to answer any questions you have. They just renovated so the place looks much nicer. I usually don't eat bagel, but Boopa's bagel hits differently. If you haven't had their bagels, what are you waiting for?? They're one of the best bagel shop in DFW! I'm really not sure where these glowing reviews are coming from. This bagel might be the worst I've ever had. The staff was very friendly but was overall disappointed. My order (of three bagels) was incorrect. We came at 10:15 and they "were out of plain cream cheese". How does a bagel store run out of plain cream cheese on a Sunday? My everything bagel was barely edible as it was hard as a rock on the exterior and dense and hardened on the interior. Our two plain bagels were nearly flavorless and had a flour-heavy interior that were underwhelming. We were excited after reading the reviews but very disappointed.

My favorite DFW bagel. Super friendly folks, great bagels and priced well. When I need a bagel in me it's Boopa's. Eat it.

Fantastic bagel. I had it for lunch. The chipotle chicken with the jalapeno bagel was delicious. The spicy mayo is top notch. I'll be back

It's an older, well-worn place without trendy décor or manufactured ambience--and honestly, I felt right at home. It was a quiet Saturday morning with only about four tables occupied. The staff was busy preparing for the lunch crowd, while the customers who were there clearly seemed to be regulars. I ordered the eggs and onions with lox, and it was absolutely delicious. I'll be back for a sandwich sometime soon. I understand why people keep returning. Sometimes you simply want a quiet, comfortable place where nobody bothers you and you can enjoy a genuinely good breakfast. Carshon's has been providing exactly that for almost a century.

I was seated and ordered a Reuben since it's one of my favorite sandwiches. The waitress asked if I wanted corned beef, pastrami. or half-n-half. I chose half-n-half because I wanted to try both. I will probably choose the corned beef next time as I thought it tasted better than the pastrami. I have nothing bad to say about the sandwich. It was pretty good. Exactly like how I expected a Reuben to be. I would definitely order it again. The service was good. I was informed that Carshon's was a cash only restaurant so I brought cash. It turns out they apparently take cards now but with an extra processing fee.

Normally, I don't consider people from St. Louis to be credible deli evaluators, but I was desperate and made the hour drive to Grapevine. We got there at 11:15 and the line was nearly to the door. Within 30 minutes, it was well out into the street. That was a promising sign. The sandwich menu covered the entire wall over the counter. Lots of non-New-York sandwiches like Cubans, gyros, etc, but over in the left corner were the classic Ruebens and pastramis. I went for the latter. A REAL NY deli usually has a few soups like split pea and chicken noodle and matzoh. No soups. Bummer. They had a half dozen sides - 3 kinds of potato salads and a few slaws. I went with the German potato salad. The drink option was spartan - they tossed a styrofoam cup at me and pointed to the soda fountain. The pastrami sandwich was OK for Texas. A SUPER pastrami sandwich on hard rye can get me moaning like Meg Ryan in "When Harry Met Sally" -- only I don't have to fake it. The German potato salad was watery and bland - I should have gone with the mustard potato salad. Turnaround was on the slow side. Napkins = paper towel roll on table. Flimsy plasticware. The overall vibe was affordable utilitarian. I'll give the sandwich a 4, everything else a 3. Next time I'll drive the extra half hour to Cindi's.

The oldest sub shop in Texas is not a title you stumble into, and one visit makes it clear they've earned it. First, the parking situation, because someone has to say it. The spots up front are scarce and competitive. Don't give up, there's additional parking in the back with its own entrance. File that away before you go, or you'll spend ten minutes circling a strip that has not gotten larger since the 1970s. And speaking of the 1970s, the interior leans fully into its vintage identity. Small, dark, and unapologetically retro, it feels like a sub shop that missed the memo on modern restaurant design and decided it didn't care. Honestly, respect. Now, the subs. Galligaskin's cuts their own meat and cheese in house and bakes their rolls fresh daily, which is the kind of thing that sounds like marketing until you take a bite and realize it actually matters. The roast beef and cheese, loaded with toppings, is a proper sandwich. The house-made Galli Oil and pickled pepper finish that goes on every sub is the secret weapon - not spicy, just deeply flavorful, the thing that makes each bite a little better than the last. We also tried the burger, which came as a genuine surprise. A sub shop doing a burger well feels like it shouldn't work, but here we are, soft bun, flavorful patty, no notes. For sides, the Tater Tots are the undisputed champion of the table. Crispy shell, fluffy interior, the ideal tot. The fried okra was a strong runner-up, well breaded and served with ranch. The French fries, however, were a swing and a miss. They looked the part, golden, fresh cut, promising - and then arrived soggy. A limp fry is a tragedy in any zip code, and these were no exception. No one wants a sad potato. Order the tots. Skip the fries. You've been warned. Galligaskin's in the real deal, a Fort Worth original that's still earning its reputation one fresh-baked roll at a time. One last night: they're closed on Sundays, so plan accordingly. A cruel fact to discover in the parking lot.
