Saw some Addidas shoes through DSW ad for their online store that sat in my shopping cart for a…read moreweek. Happened to be near my local DSW store and thought I'd see if I could try them one (first Addidas ever!) and try to give my "local business" my money instead of cyber space. Wow! What an experience. I started by asking the manager about them (she's got a killer accent!!) and she said they were shown as clearance, but not yet on the clearance rack. Did my regular full store shoe survey and found them in the regular lineup. I asked the manager again about them and if they'd ring up as clearance still but she said if they didn't she'd honor what I thought would be the online discount of $20 off (even though we read the disclaimer and it said Addidas was NOT eligible for the discount). Long story short, during check out I reread the offer and it was $10, not $20, BUT the cashier tried using the online code and actually found a 20% off voucher that she applied with the $10 off voucher. Am I a happy customer? You betcha! But what's even more important is I'm now a loyal, meaning more visits and more $$ in store instead of online, that the manager explained are two separate companies and the stores are not supported by them. Either way, as Arnold once said, "I'll be back!" Shoes for me and my three ever growing boys!

But after I paid and went to the loading dock to receive it, they said they only had assembled floor models. After revamping my plans on how to transport it, I got it home only to discover that they had damaged the controls board when they assembled it at the store. I then spent several hours with customer service where I had to disassemble and prove that it wasn't working via video-call with the manufacturer. They are sending me a replacement part in a few weeks, and then I will have to re-assemble the whole unit. Don't buy major products here. They are not competent.

The staff was very friendly and knowledgable. The guy who helped me spent a lot of time answering questions and helping me be sure I got the best fit- and I ended up with a less expensive boot than I expected (which never happens). They had really good sales at that time, and I ended up coming back the next day to get a new pack. On the following day, I found an equally friendly and knowledgable staff. I went online and found some nice shoes but i wasn't sure they would fit. I proceeded to go to many different shoe stores and ended up at foot locker in college station. It's in the mall and i don't normally go there but because of the need for a great pair of shoes, i went. The service there was great ,they were very friendly. The styles of shoes almost seemed unlimited, and I easily found the most comfortable and what I believe to be the most durable pair of shoes. Luckily they were on sale and i got them for a good price ( retail was horrible though!) overall i was very satisfied with foot locker and the shoes that i purchased.

She put me on their measuring machine and not only got a good pair of boots, I got some insoles that took the pain right out of my knee and back. I used Red Wing boots at work as a firefighter so I know the quality. They've also cornered the market on comfortable. Though they can be costly, buy Red Wing. Life is too short for cheap shoes or warm beer.
