I was craving good bbq and man this place hit the spot. This place has great customer service from the owner Keith, great sides, sauces, and bbq. I ordered half rack of ribs with 2 sides. Sides: Baked beans - great texture, and good sweet bbq taste Potato salad - had a very addicting tang to it that balances well with the beans Main: Ribs - I got both sauces the mustard and bbq which were both good but I kept going back to the mustard. It just has a really good kick to it that balances well with the fattiness of the ribs. Def recommend the mustard! My fiancé and I had met with the owner to discuss potentially catering for our wedding, which is now 4 days away. The last time we had heard from anyone was about 6 months ago so we did what anyone would do, we found another caterer. We just heard from Keith today asking if we were still ready for them to cater this weekend. When we explained that we had never gotten a contract, a set price, nor had heard from Keith for months so we had no choice but to find another caterer we were called "fucking idiots" by Keith. For a company that parks in front of a church, I find this disgusting. We wanted to support you and were excited to give you our business but this is foul. It's not very easy to find restaurants that have a good model, too many businesses out there serving good food that gouge prices saying it's "inflation" when it's really for gross profit or to make up for mismanagement. The texture and flavor on their food is near perfection and they offer their food at an extremely affordable price. I typically get the Hungryman Combo (easily feeds two people) which comes with two ribs, a whole chicken quarter, and two sides. I definitely recommend trying this place out to anyone. Delicious! When I first opened the container (I was hungry) the combo plate didn't look like much, but by the last couple of bites I was stuffed! For $12, you can't go wrong. I dunno what the 1 star review is whining about. The guy that runs this truck is so nice. Maybe the cops just got tired of eating their own kind. We pulled up around 2pm on a Tuesday and he told us due to graduation, he was out of all meats besides a couple pork chops and a half a chicken. Since we had never come before, he gave my partner and I each a huge chunk of pork to try and two sides, the garlic smashed and the mac & cheese. Both were delicious. I was pretty much full just from his "taste test". Definitely gonna be returning to try everything. He's open 11-8 Tuesday through Saturday (unless he's catering a Saturday event). Says he usually sells out, so it's gonna be best to show up early. Update: finally got a chance to try the food proper. Everything was fantastic. We got ribs with the Carolina sauce, a pork chop, pulled pork sandwich and for sides, beans, potato salad, garlic smashed potatoes and mac & cheese. It was all great. It was enough food to feed four easily for under $50. The "pork chop" itself was the size of a small roast. So tender and flavorful. Can't beat that, especially when it's locally made, from scratch food. If I had to recommend a meal, I'd get the Carolina ribs with the mac & cheese and beans but everything was amazing. I wish I would have taken a picture but I ate it too quickly. You know when you are craving something and you get that something AND it is amazingly good? That's what happened the other day when I found bootleg BBQ when I was craving a tri tip sandwich. There was a hearty amount of meat (cut thick like it should be) with a perfect smoke ring, topped with BBQ sauce. But what I wasn't expecting is to like the pulled pork sandwich even more that I bought it for my partner. It had a great sauce with a good amount of tang and crunchy slaw on top. I got the smoke Mac n cheese and beans which were great but the sandwiches were the star! I was also pleasantly surprised when two sandwiches and two sides all came out to $22! The owner who took my order was so nice and genuinely started a conversation about what I do and what I was doing that day.
