Bootsy catered an event I attended, and they did not miss. Fed a couple hundred people, and I tell you, the mac and cheese, greens, yams all hit. Now I know you said BBQ. The ribs were flavorful and juicy. Now the star to me was the salmon. Seasoned perfectly, not dry, and tasty as hell. Will have to check them out live. read more

This is the best bbq I've had in a while. Who barbeques oxtail?! I had bbq oxtail, pork ribs, macaroni & cheese, collard greens and yams. Outstanding. Everything. The meat is tender and was sliding right off the bone. Also, the service was great, too. The owner and guys serving were kind to us, talking to us like we're neighbors. I tried this place at LA Ale Works today and it was fantastic ! I ordered the smoked brisket with beans and mac n cheese. The beans and make were delicious you can taste the smokiness of the grill on each of them and the brisket just fell apart and melts in your mouth . After ordering i immediately wanted more . I did an Easter pre-order to buy some smoked meat for my family, and it was a great hit. I ordered a brisket and salmon. The favorite was the smoked salmon! Everything was so tender and delicious. Also came with home made BBQ sauce. The brisket was a lot. We had 20 people (mixed with littles and oldies), but we still had some still left over. I had the pleasure of trying their BBQ 4/2/23 at Santa Anita Race Track what a great experience the food was amazing the customer was as well. Bootsy is outgoing, energetic & provide the best customer service, their line was long every time I said I'll go when the line die down it only got longer. I bought several more vouchers to get more food went back again they had ran out of food they got my vote & the rest of my family vote for sure, he even gave my daughter a rib for her beer. Amazing place! Owner is so gracious, staff so friendly. As it was our first time here, and we were ordering for ourselves and others, we chose ribs, chicken, brisket and salmon. For just under $50, we had a whole Baked Chicken, 3 sides and corn muffins. The Chicken is always well seasoned and cooked well. Our favorite sides are the Collard Greens, Yams and Black Eyed Peas. We had some friends and family over, so we purchased 2 Family Specials and some extra Corn Muffins. That was plenty for 7 adults and 2 children with a little leftovers. At 1:21 1 hr later I got my food, and to my disappointment when I got home the food was not good the yams i don't even have words for, the greens no seasoning and a lil under cooked, the succotash the okra not cooked well again no seasoning and a lot of end pieces, the black eyed peas no seasoning very bland, the cornbread was very thick. So sad the state this restaurant is in, they need to revamp too much going on door dash orders, online orders, dine in and orders at the window. So with that said this will be my last time going back to this restaurant.
