What a fun and cute restaurant! I remember coming here years ago when it was Salt Creek Grille. This restaurant is on the casual side. It has a pretty big menu where you definitely have to enjoy BBQ food. The drinks are good and the atmosphere is a lot of fun. They have axe throwing and plenty of arcade games. This is a perfect place to bring your kids and a wonderful spot to sit at the bar, watch the game, and have a few drinks. I don't particularly love BBQ food but I did like what I ordered. My bartender and server was named Elise and she was fabulous. I asked her lots of questions about the restaurant and she was happy to answer them. I also want to add how big this space is. This place is pretty large and the cool thing as they can accommodate large parties, but also have tables for nights out for a couple couples, etc. I believe I've been to their original location in Livermore because my parents live near that location. And each of the times I've wanted I've had a pretty good time. This visit was for a really large party for one of my good friend's birthdays. We ordered one of the large platters that more than fed all of us. The barbecue items and the sides were all pretty darn good. We went to Sauced for the first time with a group of seven people on Saturday night. I wasn't sure I was in an arcade or a bbq restaurant. Service was very good but I didn't love the ribs. They were very difficult to cut with a knife and too tough for me. I did love the side chopped salad that came with the ribs and the Texas Toast. I was having such mixed emotions with Sauced... only because when I'd visit Whole Foods nearby, I always noticed Sauced looked empty or very little business. I was able to book my company sales dinner here and boy they did not disappoint! First and foremost booking reservation for 20 over phone was super fast and easy. Gentleman over the phone was super kind and even mentioned if I need it a little less noise he could book my reservation for a different spot in restaurant... but loud is what we wanted with good vibes and music. My party arrived earlier than I did which thankfully they gave my name and were seated quickly. Upon arrival the seated area was perfect and we were asked what we'd like to drink quickly. Once food was ordered it was quick! Waiters and waitresses came out and served together and were so attentive to asking if we needed anything. Went here with family and it was chill. Lots of parking in the lot outside and it was pretty easy coming in to get a table. The food was not bad. We ordered the 3 meat dish (pulled pork, brisket, ribs, mac n cheese and mashed potatoes), which fed me, my husband, and my momma. My in-laws ordered the 3 meat too except with the pork belly, sweet potato tots, and beans. Theirs was also good. I like that they offer high chairs and booster seats for the kiddos that you can just easily grab. We didn't try the axe throwing but that area seemed so rowdy. Love the plethora of televisions all around too. My only complaint is I think there needs to be more employees working. It took way too long to get our orders taken. Not to mention, we had to wait forever for staff to even walk by when we needed plates to eat our food. I was looking around at the tables, and I saw multiple people (including myself) trying to wave down the server. The Rednexican Nachos come with poblano queso, black beans, corn, jalapeno, cilantro, and tin roof with your choice of smoked chicken, pulled pork, or chopped brisket. I appreciate that they offer both a Runt and Full Size because the Full size is huge! The Swamp Fries have house rub, brisket, poblano queso, baked beans, tin roof, chipotle lime, ranch, and green onion. Also very tasty. Their bbq dishes are pretty good, but these two menu items are what keep us coming back! I got a 2 Meat Combo to share with sliced brisket and brisket burnt ends. The burnt ends are always a fave and the brisket was tender. For our sides, we got the Roasted Garlic Greens Beans and the Sweet Potato Casserole. The Green Beans were ok--a little soggy and not very garlicky. The Sweet Potato was just mashed sweet potato with some brown sugar on top. Probably wouldn't get that side again. Best to make reservations on the weekend. This place is basically one large room, and it can get in very very loud, especially with children there We have been here several times. We really like the food. Meat is always cooked perfectly. Side dishes, such as brussels sprouts, sweet potato, regular potatoes are all very good. We have had some very attentive service. And the cocktails are well made. Unfortunately, last night we were seated right by the restrooms and we had to move because the smell was nauseating. The Baseline: For a sit down chain BBQ restaurant the bbq meats must be quality/tasty, the sides need to be a good accompaniment to the meats, the smoke flavor must be present, drinks should be stiff, service should be efficient, and the restaurant should have character. Food: The bbq at Sauced is pretty good with a good amount of smoke flavor and good consistency to the meat. The sides are really good with great garlic mashed potatoes and baked beans. For the meat I had good sized pork ribs, pull-apart brisket which were tasty but the smoke was a bit infused with smoke that left me with a little reflux (I fully admit it may be my anatomy on that issue). The pork belly I had was not very crisp so i might avoid that in the future. Four stars on the food. Service: Decent service but we came on Father's Day so it was busy. We got bar seating and we were taken care of pretty quickly but I had to wait for water refills. Ambiance: Great fun and great environment for a BBQ restaurant. To celebrate my dad's retirement me, the hubby, my dad, and stepmom made reservations to come here on a Saturday late afternoon around 4pm to do ax throwing and then dinner at 530pm. Ax throwing was so much fun and of course my dad was a natural at it lol. It's definitely a family friendly and sports related restaurant. We ordered drinks and rib tips before we had dinner and as we played with the axes. The instructor was clear with instructions and we were able to start playing pretty quickly. I could not get the hang of it but we all had fun! For dinner I ordered the loaded sweet potato with brisket and the hubby ordered the one meat plate with smoked brisket, corn bread, and Mac and cheese. Our server was really attentive and when my baked beans were missing from my sweet potatoes he brought a side of them quickly. They offer weekday lunch specials until 4:00 p.m. which are smaller portions and cheaper. I had the brisket and ribs with baked beans and sweet potato casserole. The food was tasty. I liked the Pig Candy barbecue sauce. The others had the chicken leg, pulled pork, brisket, and tri-tip along with potato salad, cole slaw, corn succotash, and sweet potato tots. I saw darts, ax throwing and it was a cold night so the outside games were not set up but they have the giant chess, jenga or other games set up. We brought my guest from my wedding since we was staying at the hotel in El Segundo before he flew out. They have good amount of cocktails to pick from and decent amount of beer options. Parking was super easy and it was located inside huge plaza. Atmosphere inside is pretty amazing. Lot of TV's you can watch and they have neon signs along with arcade games. Food was surprisingly great. Ribs were so good we had to order another order of ribs. Normally I don't like ribs from a BBQ spot because they smother them in BBQ sauce but this place did not do that.
