Having read the reviews I was prepared to order the stuffed croissant French toast. Last minute change of heart- I ordered the Gobbler, a roast turkey sandwich on a croissant with a flavor profile reminiscent of Thanksgiving. The sweetness of the fig jam played well with the poached pear, savory turkey and peppery arugula. Dessert will have to wait until our next visit. The pastry counter at the front of the restaurant displays cinnamon roles, scones, muffins and impressive cakes. There's even a marionberry and white chocolate bread pudding that would make a wonderful brunch choice.

Our server, Shayla, offered different rice options (even though we didn't ask), like coconut rice and jasmine rice, without mentioning they came with an additional charge. It sounded like a standard option that came with the entrée, as is common with many Asian dishes, so my kids chose the coconut rice. We didn't realize it was an upcharge until later, which was a bit disappointing. Also, the hot tea wasn't refillable, which was surprising. Overall, the food was very good, but clearer communication on pricing would have made the experience even better.

Reservations are definitely a good idea here. Our early arrival in line allowed us to choose a good table in the back, where it wouldn't be too hectic. That too was a good idea as the place gets loud with conversation when it fills up. Music wasn't loud, just the people. The menu isn't huge but there are quite a few, varied choices. Given the meal was a bit of a splurge for us, I essentially ignored the prices, which are not trivial by any means. Fine dining entails spending money. Zydeco has a ton of reviews and as the menu apparently doesn't change, I'll just say everything we ordered was great. Cocktails too. The Bramble Down is exquisite. Service was top tier as well. Timely, attentive, professional without being stiff. The capstone to our experience involved the bill. We actually had a gift card from 2017 - nine years ago. While it certainly didn't cover the whole bill, or even half, it was a nice way to defray costs. Unfortunately, when the server ran the gift card, it showed no balance. Not sure why but perhaps over the years, the card had been erased by stray EMF. Despite that and given we provided the card receipt, the restaurant honored the card for the full amount anyway. When you get there you get in line, but this is no Chipotle (no shade on Chipotle). While you are in line, one of the staff will ask you what you want to drink and will bring it to you so this makes the line much more bearable - and we enjoyed the unique cocktails. Also, while you're on line you can people-watch, take in the cool decor, and decide from the enticing menu. Also, while you're on line, one of the staff will find out how many are in your party so they can start strategizing about where to seat you so you don't have to worry about scrambling for a table. When you get to the front, you order, and they give you a number and they seat you. The line can be long, but it moves, and as I mentioned, you may have a cocktail in your hand to help you get through it. Now to the food. It's a fusion of Asian and Mexican food, very unique offerings. The trouble will be deciding what to have so I recommend sharing if you're there with somebody else so you can try a lot of things. We had the peanut tomato curry with chicken, the spicy fried chicken, the side salad, and the pièce de résistance, which was the carnitas sandwich. I had the Dan Dan noodles and once I started eating them I couldn't stop they were so good! When you get there get in line and they will come get your drink order and give you a menu, then you get to the register and place your order and they will take you to a table. The service was spot on and attentive but not over done. There is also a great drink, beer and mocktail menu that has tasty beverages! Very family friendly with a great kids menu and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Awesome little booths and great places to have conversation. We very much enjoyed Spork!

Outstanding, excellent, creative, exceptional are all descriptions of my meals. I love the ambience and service too!! Josh, Nathaniel, And Jason were all helpful for our menu selections, gave us taste of wine to select the best one, and were attentive to every aspect of our dining experience. I can't wait to go back. I'm already dreaming of the zucchini appetizer, the beet salad, the caesar, the filet and seafood platter(lobster too), the scampi and linguine and the best prepared steelhead with vegie ragu. On a whim I decided I wanted a steak and Brickhouse was recommended by friends who do eat steak a lot. Good choice. I sat at the bar and ordered a 6oz filet mignon off the 4-5 PM menu. Absolutely no negatives. Everything was top tier including the service at the bar and cocktails. The space is quite comfortable and you're not subjected to loud music. I may become a steak eater.
