    Friendly, helpful waitstaff. Relaxing atmosphere. Almost everything is gluten-free. I got the corn cheese which was pretty spicy but also really good. I tried my friend's juk and I loved the flavor. I got a baby bibimbap and actually that and the corn cheese was so filling. I liked my agi bibimbap- I'm glad I tried the red sauce with it too bc it's barely spicy and mostly sweet and a nice complement to the rich meat and egg. I got those two boxed up before I finished so I'd have room for dessert. I tried the hotteok and the texture was odd and the breaded part didn't taste like anything? But the filling and the caramel and ice cream were good. I tried my friend's black sesame ice cream and it was amazing. Definitely get that if they have it!

    An upscale and modern Korean spot in Downtown Bend. The inside is moody, good for a romantic dinner but we went for lunch. Their options were untraditional with creative twists on Korean dishes. Prices are higher than standard as well. Their Fried Cauliflower was a nice appetizer. Crispy on the outside and just cooked on the inside so it wasn't too mushy. My Duboo Set Lunch was tasty. I misunderstood it for soup but still really enjoyed it. The tofu was soft and took up the sauce well. Their side kimchi soup and banchans were delicious as well. I'd suggest going for their Dolsot Bibimbap options since these were very tasty and generous, albeit sweeter than what I'm used to. Service was fast and friendly!

    Popped in for lunch, not knowing exactly what to expect. The space inside is pretty nice, laid back, and cozy. I felt a little out of place in gym shorts and a hoodie, but figured it's still Bend, right? The server was great, answering my questions and describing portion sizes really well. We split a kimchi pancake. The texture was really nice, soft with a light seer on the bottom. The dipping sauce served with it was so good. I ordered the Bulgogi Bi Bim Bop. It's a huge portion and is so hot. In fact, the bowl stayed piping hot the entire time I was eating. The flavors of kimchi, beef, and egg were really good. The tangy red sauce served along with the bowl was really tasty as well, although I found it got lost when I mixed it in. It was better if I mixed the rice and then drizzled some on top. The rice on the bottom of the bowl was so crispy - awesome texture. Service was great the entire meal as well. Can't wait to go back!

    There were so many good dishes here it's hard to even process. We did the tasting menu to try all the things. The chef was very accommodating as we came with my friend's kid and they didn't make him order the tasting menu thankfully. Most memorable bites were the jook (don't sleep on this one, I was so surprised!) and the samgyupsal. I didn't actually like either dessert, but I was super satisfied with the savory dishes. Ambience is quiet and a bit dark, but they had ample space between tables to enjoy conversations with your party privately.

    Had ladies night with my sisters and mom when visiting for the holidays. Service was great and the food was delicious. Who knew this was tucked away right next to downtown. Appetizers were a hit for the table and everyone enjoyed the main they selected. We left full and I'm adding it to my list to return back to the next time I visit my family.

    The service was great. Definitely recommend a reservation which we made. It's quite small inside, best for small parties or groups of 4 at most. The food was quite tasty and so many options. Lots of items I've never heard of. I think this is the only Korean spot in Bend. The cauliflower appetizer was my favorite dish, very tasty.

    Friday night dinner with friends. Started with the Yellowtail hwe and the fried cauliflower. Hwe was average, not worth the price IMO. The cauliflower was amazing and probably one of the best dishes all night. Banchans were average, nothing too distinctive. Had the tofu bibimbap. Overall taste was above average, the accompanying sauce helped. Egg was cooked perfect. The bottom of the rice was perfectly crisped without being burnt, tough to pull off but they did it. Waitress was pleasant.

    We did the tasting menu and the wine pairing and it was absolutely amazing. Comparable to some of the best 1 or 2 star Michelin restaurants we've had around the world at a fraction of the price. This is not your average restaurant. It is Michelin caliber. Not the kind of restaurant you can just walk in and ask if there's a table available. That's ignorant at the least, or disrespectful at the worst. It's hard to believe Bend has a restaurant of this caliber and I really hope there are enough people that can appreciate it and keep it around.

    It is not easy to get a table, unless we want late dinner. Since we could not get in the first time we stopped by, we made a reservation for the next day. We walked along Deschutes river from the south side of Downtown to this restaurant. We were interested in the 5-course menu but were informed that it was not available that day. We had the best Juk (mushroom rice porridge) with runny egg. This rice porridge is the best we ever have. Unfortunately, chef had to leave the restaurant and we could not get our main dishes that we ordered.

    Everything was delicious. The wagyu was incredible. Perfectly cooked and seasoned. The fingerling potatoes crispy outside and soft in the middle. Wine and cocktails were spot on.

    Very nice first visit but just did not do it for my tastes. YELP Short Answer: Maybe but there are other options I'd suggest trying first. LOCATION: Not the greatest, on the wrong side of Greenwood. Parking is a hit or miss situation. Find a spot and walk. This location seems to not hold much luck for anyone except the landlord. BUILDOUT: Very nice, tasteful and kind of authentic. It is a little claustrophobic as the windows are opaqued so just feels kind of closed in. MENU: A little confusing, I have had an easier time ordering street food in Korea but I am sure if I return it will be easier. FOOD PREP: Nicely done. FOOD QUALITY: For what we ordered did not like the tastes and the oysters were terrible on our visit. WAITSTAFF: Very nice and like a lot of Bend restaurants, it took 20 minutes to get our bill when we were clearly finished on a not so busy evening. OVERALL VALUE: Not for me, did not think this was worth the visit, sorry, I know they are new but nothing really worked for me. TIP: Ask a lot of questions to make sure you're happy with your order. We did and still we came away disappointed and $100 poorer.

    I visited Bend for the first time recently which meant that I researched all of the best restaurants in town. Yoli came highly recommended and, as far as I can tell, the chef is the only one in Bend with multiple James Beard Award nominations and experience cooking in multiple Michelin star kitchens. Yoli offers an a la carte dinner menu, a five course tasting menu ($60), and a large chef's tasting menu with 24 hour notice ($135 food, $55 beverage pairing). We were here to celebrate so we got the chef's tasting menu. It was enormous and delicious. Service was very good. Laura, the co-owner, called me a few days in advance to confirm our reservation and plans to get the tasting menu and wine pairing. When we arrived for dinner, she had a table prepared for us right next to the kitchen and with our tasting menu displayed in a frame. She was very attentive and served us all of our courses and wine pairings. We liked getting the tasting menu in advance, along with the wines listed for each course, so that we knew what to expect (plus some surprises). Laura and Chef Joe did an excellent job pacing the courses and drinks, with each one ready exactly when we expected. They were also ready with to-go boxes when they noticed us getting too full. The menu was 9 courses as printed (counting seven gansig appetizer bites as one course) and each course had a beverage pairing. There was also a large selection of banchan and three additional surprise courses: a bread course and two extra desserts. The menu (see photos) describes each dish pretty well. A few highlights were: all of the gansig appetizers, daegu (cod), anju (fried chicken and waffle), tangsuyuk (veal), bread, and ssam (pork). We agreed that our least favorite course was the sujebi (truffle noodle); we didn't care for the gummy pulled noodle texture or the flavors involved. By the time we got to the ssam board, we were extremely full, so we packed up most of the last few courses. I felt a little better when Laura said they expected us to be stuffed at this point. The two bonus dessert courses were an ice cream dessert that included chocolate, banana, and spice cake and then an impressive display of cotton candy (three types: kimchi, pear, and apricot) and five types of petit fours. (Bonus courses did not include beverage pairings.) We were so full at that point that we couldn't help but laugh when not one, but two extra desserts showed up. (I forgot to take a photo of the ssam board but it was huge, with three types of pork and wraps along with the banchan) The ambiance at Yoli is a little plain and industrial (like exposed duct work) but they are doing their best with decorations. I particularly liked the wall with menus from other restaurants the chef has visited or staged at. Overall, we really appreciated our meal at Yoli and Laura and Joe's hospitality. A few pieces of constructive feedback: verbally explain each dish and pairing a little more beyond what is printed on the menu (e.g. some of the cooking techniques involved, why that pairing was chosen, tasting notes for the pairing); a few courses could have been smaller and we would not have felt any less full or less pleased (especially puageula foie gras course); the larger courses could have used larger beverage pours; and desserts were not as strong as the savory courses. All the dishes we saw at other tables also looked delicious and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. I will definite visit again the next time in Bend.

    Had a delicious dinner at Yoli the other night. The service was attentive and the food was great with good portion sizes.

Which is to say, quite passable. Beyond the fake chicken, the dish itself is very good. Bop sauce (in a separate tub) is tasty if a touch sweet. - Chinese cabbage salad: Excellent. I could eat this all day. - Bop dog: a Korean-inspired corn dog. The epitome of fusion, I guess. Pretty good with a nice panko coating. If you like corn dogs, you'll probably like it. - Beef bi-bim-bop (#1): Excellent. Well seasoned beef with very well done veggies and soft-boiled egg, including kim chi. Overall, I'd say Bop Culture has hit it out of the park in a town somewhat lacking in Asian-inspired cuisine (although it's getting better). Highly recommended.

The service was spot on and attentive but not over done. There is also a great drink, beer and mocktail menu that has tasty beverages! Very family friendly with a great kids menu and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Awesome little booths and great places to have conversation. We very much enjoyed Spork!

One thing we didn't get but looked awesome: I don't know if we missed out on some gem, but so many people were getting the burgers/fries from one truck. Also, so many other people were getting stuff from the Thai truck. And to top it off... the beer/cider station had an awesome deal. For about the same price you'd pay for a typical pint, they pour about 20 ounces of happy beverage into a taller than I expected glass. The picnic tables are colorful, there's a covered tent if you're feeling cold, people are friendly... it's just overall a great place to chill, drink, & eat.
