They were clearly freshly made on site rather than the typical frozen crap most places serve. Hot/sour soup same. But, for me, the big treat was the sesame chicken. Perfectly flash fried -- I've searched for years for sesame chicken as good as the old Chen's China Clipper in Beaverton. I have now found it! My wife's shrimp was also delicious. It's honestly become part of the charm. Dinner and a show. To his credit, this server is consistent. In the three years we've lived in Central Oregon, I'm fairly certain he is the only server we've ever seen there. Ever. And his attitude has been consistent. Which raises questions... but also a bit of admiration for his commitment to the bit. All jokes aside, if he hates being a server this much, it might be time for a career pivot. At Sora Sushi, you wait half an hour for a few pieces of nigiri. Everything is wildly overpriced, mediocre quality. But you pay it. Because you're in Central Oregon and that's all there is. Two stars might be a tad harsh, they didn't poison me or anything. But just like everything else here, you pay a mountain tax in quality, price, and service. The dough was soft but little denser than I'm used to. The filling was decent. 4/5 Pork dumplings: surprisingly good. Meat and veggie seasoned well. I stepped aside to wait for my food and another employee walked up and entered the cart and said "oh nooo, what did you get??" to the guy, asking what order he had gotten.
