I've heard a lot of good things about Borgata Pizza Cafe so I already had high expectations. I was still blown away. The ambience was very casual - when my party of two walked in, we were greeted right away and told we could select our seats. Our server, Iroquois, was great. Very attentive and helpful with explaining their menu. My boyfriend and I ordered a Caesar salad and House salad with the homemade Italian dressing respectively. Both were fresh and delicious. We shared a 20" Margherita pizza with no tomatoes (boyfriend has a texture issue with full tomatoes). Even though I recently came back from a trip to NYC where I had my fill of pizza, this could have been a contender. The crust itself was just soft and delicious and the combination of cheese and toppings was delicious. Visited borgata for a celebratory pizza dinner and it did not disappoint. We were looking for a casual spot with good prices and a nice vibe and borgata checked all 3. We sat outside and the restaurant next door was playing live music which was a plus. We started off with the meatballs which were de-lish! We were marveled by the INSANE cheese pull. The meat was so tender and they were smothered in sauce and cheese; just how we like them! We ended up ordering pizza off their preselect menu and just a tip, they let you do half & half! The pizza was MASSIVE especially for two ppl. I'm glad I could enjoy a well made NY slice. I only wish the underside was baked just a bit more as I found the pizza to be very bready after a few bites. We left with our bellies full and leftovers for the next day. I do still think the food is good, if overpriced. However, I give them 1 star now because you can not call in to order pick-up. You have to use an app, or a website vendor (not owned by Borgata). You have some options (Slice, grubhub, etc.) and it says no fees. However, Slice does charge a fee and grubhub each item's cost is about $4-5 more than if you were to dine in. It is already overpriced, now it's less convenient and even more expensive. read more

My favorite was the stuffed peppers - super tasty and the sausage inside was really soft and flavorful. Everything else was mediocre, could've had more flavor across the board. Crust on par with chain pizza places. If pizza dough goes into a pizza oven and comes out 1/2 cooked then you're not making a quality product. Pizza cooked on a rack in an oven is rookie. New York style? No way. That's just a name on a menu. And I'm not a New Yorker. To the tune of $35 with tip. C'mon manager. This was at 1PM. 3 people in the joint. You can't pump a tip top pie? The Borgata Pizza Cafe is a Happy Hour destination. I got there a little bit before 4 pm. There were a few people at the bar and one patron at a table in the restaurant area. With $4 drafts and wine pours between 3pm and 6pm, things filled up fast. I had the homemade meatballs and mozzarerella appetizer ($13.95) Each of us had one delicious meatball in a marinara sauce. Can you say pricy? I ordered a 16" pizza with extra cheese ($23). Everything is made from scratch here so it took over 20 minutes to be delievered to the table. This time delay only encouraged me to have another draft, The pie was cut into 8 pieces as are the 12" ($16) and the 20" ($29). It is featured as a New York style pie with a semi-thin crust. Beer and pizza, what could go wrong?. In this case, NOTHING. Borgata's owner/chief Roz cooks Italian specialities, his famous cannolis and lemon ricotta cake. And service was quick and friendly. I tried going here the past week with my girlfriend as the patio looks nice and I've heard good things from the pizza connoisseur's Facebook group. Well, she forgot her mask and I didn't have any extras. I asked the front desk if they had any extra masks or if we could sit on the patio but instead instructed to leave until we both had masks. I will commend them for enforcing their covid rules, but find it absurd they don't have any accommodations for their guests. Today, I ordered takeout to try their pizza finally. I was quoted 1 hour 45 minute wait as they were apparently busy on a Friday night. I showed up at an hour 30 minutes, 15 minutes early to ensure I could try the pizza as fresh as possible. Instead, the restaurant was dead and I could tell my pizza had been in the pizza warmer for awhile. The pizza warmer left my box very warm though, so I thought nothing of it. As I go to try a piece in my car I can instantly tell my pizza has been sitting out for quiet sometime as the cheese had completely gained that stiffness look to it. The pizza was completely room temperature with no heat to it. Absolute waste of money. I would rate the pizza a 5.4/10 which may be an unfair score but it's what I was given. I wish I had a better experience, but it's the customer experience you can expect to get when you go to Borgata's. read more

I've been looking forward to trying this place out when the weather is nice so I can enjoy their outdoor seating. That warm day finally came, so we popped over for dinner. The outdoor area was full, which made me nervous that the inside would look the same; however, it was quite empty inside. The carry out line was backed up though, so no one greeted us. We awkwardly stood there for a minute before deciding to just sit down and hope someone would notice us. A woman did see us and said she'd be with us shortly, but by then we found an empty table outside and grabbed it. Another waitress spotted us and gave us some menus while she got our drinks. We ordered an appetizer of the pizza bread along with our pesto chicken pizza and spaghetti. All seemed okay until thirty minutes passed, then fifty, then over an hour before we got our food. I understand that pizza does take time to make, but holy moly, this was becoming ridiculous. I watched as the guy next to us got up and left to pay his bill instead of waiting to be seen by a waitress because she simply wouldn't come. Finallyyy our food came and it was pretty good! My pasta gave me home cooked vibes and the garlic bread had an excellent crunch. I wasn't head over heels with the chicken though. It seemed like plain chunks of chicken without much flavor. The pizza wasn't too shabby, but I honestly think the pepperoni bread was better. The bread could have been a meal by itself! I wanted to order dessert, but after that disastrous wait time, I wasn't taking any chances. Can't say the food was worth the wait, unfortunately. That being said, I would come back, but only during the week for lunch. If you come during the weekend when the weather is nice, be prepared to spend a long time here! read more

Overpriced and underwhelming. The Mozz sticks were undercooked, lacking flavor and doughy. The roasted vegetable sub had raw small chopped pieces of zucchini, total of 4 dime sized pieces of eggplant. Nothing was roasted or warm. For $14.95 this was pathetic and I didn't eat it. They wouldn't take it off the bill but offered to make me another terrible sandwich. why? instead gave us two fugazi cannoli's. IDK what the filling was but it def was NOT canolli filling, also uneatable. The sign on the front stating Authentic Italian Cooking was the first give away that it would be terrible. The pizza is a NY style pie cut in 8 slices. Was tasty for Ohio standards, but the crust could have been cooked a bit more for my liking. As an Italian from NY I will def not be returning to this place. read more

This pizza was a not cooked properly - 1/2 charred on one side and 1/2 doughy on the other. Moist under carriage, flopped like spaghetti. Pools of grease and gobs of cheese slid off the slice. Just went to Borgata tonight for the first time because it was on the Pizza & Beer Week menu and I was very impressed by the pizza. The restaurant itself was not impressive at all, when we arrived it looked like they were quite busy as the tables were not ready for us. The waitress Monika was able to get it cleaned up for us quickly and got us some meatballs which were delicious. We ordered two pizzas to split, Chicken Pesto, my new favorite and Supreme, half without mushrooms as they aren't my favorite. The pizzas are to die for, absolutely worth it. I highly recommend coming to this restaurant, they do a large take out service so next time that will be for me although we had a great time talking to our server and loved her recommendations read more

I am not someone who typically leaves reviews but I feel compelled to. I have long anticipated trying Borgata and finally made the hour long drive to do so. We arrived shortly after they opened so there were very few people dining in. We ordered drinks, pizza, and lasagna. The pizza was good(not great) and the lasagna was terrible! The meat and sauce mimicked Chef Boyardee and it wasn't heated up very well. When we mentioned it to our waiter, she never apologized or offered to exchange it out for something else. Her response was "would you like a box for it?" After telling her multiple times that it would not get ate, she then handed us our $64 bill and proceeded to tell us how to tip on the device. I may have returned for the pizza but certainly would not after the poor service. That's just not good business in my opinion. read more

All the Pasta and Marinara sauce along with Pizzas are homemade plus the Sinsational Cannolis too!! Tasty selections and Wonderful service during our short dinner tonight!! Limited seating available but open kitchen and lively open bar environment made up for it.... Food and service was good, but the acoustics of the interiors are so bad, you really can't have a conversation with friends. They have metal chairs, that when drug across the concrete floors is like fingernails on a chalkboard. They need to add some sound absorption to lower the background noise. read more

For pizza in Columbus, I will always, always, miss Flying Pizza/A Slice of New York. It has not been replaced in my heart. Borgata (original Cleveland location) was the first place my pizza-loving lunch friends and I would hit up. We liked it. Good slices. Good people working. Then they had to go and open up another location closer to me. Still doing lunch - sometimes with my younger pizza loving son, sometimes to-go. Sometimes dinner. Sometimes salads, meatballs, breadsticks... the full gamut. Everything was tasty, fresh, crunchy bread, spicy meatballs... just win after win for me. I've really enjoyed them. They've never let me down when I've *eaten there* or gotten it to-go (I don't usually do delivery unless work is paying for it). They're definitely good pizza, and one of my favorites in Columbus. read more

Overall great dinner at Borgata. We went for their OSU game day buffet. The buffet had pizza, wings and salad. The salad was great and the Roasted Red Pepper dressing was great. Pizza was the standout with amazing dough, fresh toppings and interesting toppings. The wings were well seasoned and decent sized but not super crispy. They seem to be baked or grilled, not fried. Wing sauce options were flavorful. Downside they do charge a fee for credit card payments. read more

I'm reviewing two experiences, one ordered on Grubhub and the other a dine in experience with family. The sandwiches and pasta dishes at Borgata are nice and big: great for sharing. Even the side house salad is big enough to share. Definitely plan to go family style so you can try lots of different dishes. The 16 inch pizza comes with 8 large slices. One slice is pretty filling. All the food is fresh and flavorful. You can't go wrong. It's called Borgata Pizza Cafe, but I would add it's so much more than pizza. read more

Pizza was super soggy. I was told that it was NY Style. Traveling to NYC, several times over the last few years, I can tell you I never had a soggy slice. The new server we had, I think her name was Lily, was very attentive and on point. Overall have had better food experience here so maybe it was a bad day. read more
