My first time here. happened to be in Plain City and decided to give it a try. The dining area is nice and clean. The floor had recently been mopped, would have been nice to have a wet floor sign to warn. They do not serve fountain drinks and charge nearly $3.00 for each 20 oz bottle. That's a bit of a problem for me. I would have expected a better price especially not getting any refills. Also added a nice fee for using a credit card. Another issue for me. My wife and I ordered a meat pizza. They want to charge 0.75 to leave off ham (meat) to sub mushroom (veg). Small problem 3 for me. The pizza itself was good. We enjoyed it and would return if we were doing carry out. For dine in, there are other choices. read more

Now under new management they have decided to illegally charge TAX on their food, shame. I know they know it is against the law because some of my friends told them and even showed them the state law on their phone. This is a big mistake for the new management. Stop the TAX! read more

A very spacious and clean dining area awaits all customers, looks recently remodeled or a new addition. The staff is super kind and friendly, our pizzas were taking a little longer so they brought us some cookies. They have some really cool speciality pizzas I'd like to try like a mac&cheese or taco pizza. Subs and pasta options, their spaghetti entree is only $6.95, what a bargain, right? The pizza tasted great with a good crispy and soft touch. Loved the crispy crust and the pizza came out fresh and hot (love hot pizza). Ordered a large meat lovers and a large supreme for a work party. Pick up was perfectly on time, service was excellent. Crust and sauce were tasty, very good. Only thing was pizzas were a little greasy, couldn't open the juice bottle I had, hands kept slipping even after napkin wipes. No big deal, just be sure to have lots of napkins on hand. These guys don't skimp on the toppings either which is great. Will be ordering J&T again soon.. read more

This restaurant has been a landmark in Plain City at the corner of 42 &161. THEY MOVED to a strip mall off 161 next to Love Joy Grocery Store. Order & pay at the counter then move to your left and sit in the clean dining room. Service was friendly and the food came to our table fast and hot! We both ordered the pizza lunch specials. I had the blanched mushrooms; my favorite! Hubs ordered pepperoni. It was old world pepperoni with those little curled up cups of grease. Also included was a small romain salad and a can of pepsi. Choices there included Mug Root Beer. Dr Pepper, Mountain Dew, Pepsi and more with the option to upgrade to a bottle. Plenty of food. I would absolutely return to try more items on their menu. We went here on a Thursday night for the first time & were EXTREMELY impressed! This was our first time here, & we wanted to try something new. From the moment we walked in, it was 5-star treatment! Service was VERY friendly & helpful. We placed our order at the counter & went to sit in the dining room to wait for a kitchen staff member to come out with our pizzas. The wait was approximately 20 mins. The pizza we ate, was a large deluxe & it was fantastic! Plenty of sauce, plentiful toppings with good distribution & nice thin, crispy crust. Wonderful taste. Just excellent. I overheard the Mgr. talking to my fiancée about how they had been in the area now for approximately 30+ years. HOW HAVE I NEVER HEARD ABOUT THIS GEM OF A PIZZA SHOP?!? We were in the area and wanted pizza. The night we were there they seemed to be short staffed. The woman at the counter was very friendly. The restaurant was clean. If you are eating in, the process for order food and getting drinks is not very intuitive. The pizza was decent but a little dry for our tastes. We just ordered a veggie pizza. We ordered a large calzone, homemade lasagna with two meatballs and breadsticks, and chef salad. We decided to dine in rather than take out. Dining room was clean, has 8 or 9 tables and a TV that was on ESPN. The food was pretty good. My favorite part was the breadsticks that came with the homemade lasagna. The salad was smaller then I anticipated. The large calzone was huge! We will have leftovers for lunch and dinner tomorrow. The lasagna hit the spot; I had a craving, it was a nice recipe. Nothing too fancy but great flavor. The only drink options are cans or 2 liters of pop, bottles of sweet or unsweetened tea, or bottled water. I wish they had fountain drinks for dine in customers. This pizza place is located in an old building that was converted to a pizza joint. Seating for 15-20? There is nothing nice about the interior. There is one TV and four ceiling fans for a room the size of my living room. All four fans were running on a day that was 50 degrees outside. Not needed. I turned off the fan that was above my table due to the cold draft it was creating. The pepperoni and sausage pizza came out quickly $16.00 for a medium and two sodas. The sodas come from a self serve cooler. No fountain and they were not cold. The pizza taste just didn't do it for me. Won't be returning. read more

Stopped by on a Saturday evening for dinner. They do have tables to eat in at however they do not have wait staff so you order at front counter. They only offer bottles of Pepsi products and water in their cooler. When your food is ready, they will bring it out to you but they do not come out and check on you. If you needed anything, go to the front counter. The staff were very friendly. We tried a small pizza with pepperoni, mushrooms, and onions. The sauce was sweet but not overly sweet. Wished there were more topping but was still good. We shared a Italian sub which was very tasty and the bread was really good. We also had a salad each. Mine was grilled chicken and was really tasty and the salad was huge! Took part of it home and we took home half of the pizza. We do recommend and will be back! read more

Hm. I'm sure I wrote a review of this a month ago, but don't see it. Oh, well, I'll try again. This is the place people mention when they talk about pizza in Plain City. Everyone has seen it, since it's on the main drag. I went for lunch once. They have some good specials; I got the one-item with salad and drink, I think for $6. Service was good, pizza was great, salad was fresh. What more could you want? Tried them again a few weeks later; got a pepperoni and a BLT to go. Both were good. BLT had the mayo on the side, which was nice (and probably safer.) The crust is good, the toppings are good, and I think they'll even deliver to me, out in the boonies. read more

I was looking for a new pizza and sub place near home but not with the hustle and bustle of in Dublin or CBus. And so I found this great place a nice short drive from Dublin. They have plenty of parking and it was very easy to get to. You order at the counter, where you walk in, and it can be busy as they do seem to have a strong take out following. There are menus on the counter so I am sure you can take one and go sit and return if needed. So we ordered a small pepperoni, mushroom and onion pizza with extra sauce along with an Italian sub, a chef salad, a grilled chicken salad and a bottle of water from their Pepsi cooler (no fountain drinks). We then took a seat in the dining area that is very clean and nice. There is a TV for sports and such in the dining area. They brought the food out as things were ready, first the salads and they were in big deep bowls and very fresh. When the pizza and sub came out you can tell it was right out of the oven - no waiting to be brought to us. They do cheese on the toppings which is not my preference but their sauce was really good and made up for it. I also would prefer a little heavier application of the toppings but it was a very good pizza. And it is even good the next day, cold, right from the fridge!! The sub was also very good with the right thickness in the meats, although I may ask for it to be done a minute or two longer next time. I will certainly be back as I have to try the meatball sub and I may ask for the cheese to be under the toppings on the next pizza; I am sure that they will oblige as they were so nice and friendly. read more

I have found my new pizza spot and I'm so excited. We tried this spot for the first time and decided to eat inside. The set up is small but perfect and cute. I cannot remember the name of the pizza we ordered or the sub (so many options) but it was amazing. The pizza crust was bomb and the sub was mouth watering. Nothing fancy, and probably not for you if you prefer crispy crust or insist on having gourmet pizza. Personally, I prefer softer crust (I'd take Papa John's over Donatos any day) and I think Jan & Tony's is very good. They use just the right amount of their very tasty sauce, the right amount of cheese, and the right amount of toppings. They have remodeled the place in the last few years and it's pretty nice and very clean. It's not upscale by any means, but it's not a dive either. It's also a good alternative if you are in that neck of the woods and you don't feel like battling the crowds at Der Dutchman. read more

Great pizza. I gave it 5 stars, not because it is fine dining, but because it is great pizza from a hole in the wall, carryout pizza joint. That's not a slam, just don't go there expecting atmosphere. I had the BBQ chicken pizza. It was a thin crust, with just the right amount of crisp and chewy. The chicken was quality and abundant. The cheese was mostly provolone I think, and cooked perfectly, with just the right amount of browning. read more
