I picked up a medium pepperoni pizza and an order of garlic cheesy bread from Mama Mimi's. They offer a wide range of pizzas, salads and Italian appetizers for takeout from their Clintonville joint. The staff member who took and prepped my order was friendly; he explained how to cook my pizza and bread and gave me some useful tips. Be sure to save the wrapping which contains the instructions if you're forgetful. My pizza and bread turned out wonderful! The bread had a great cheese and garlic flavor, and the pizza was fresh and non-greasy. Overall a fun experience.

If you like homemade pizza but don't feel like doing the work this place will be your best friend. The flavors are truly legit. They use fresh produce and have a variety of sauces. I've had nearly all of their pizza combinations as well as their lasagna. Meat, veggie or all cheese for the picky eaters. The staff at this location is super friendly, especially Tony. He's been here for years and greets everyone like they are family. They always seem to have some sort of special going on, but it doesn't matter because I'm going to order regardless. Take it home, pop it in the oven, and voila! Pizza love

First pizza from Mama Mimi's Take-N-Bake Pizza since the Pandemic. I got the big deli Pepperoni Pizza on honey wheat crust. Despite the directions say to pre-bake to 450 degrees, I baked my pizza at 400 degrees and it was perfectly baked and delicious. Enjoy ordering Lasagna for Christmas Eve. Also, I pre-order Cinnamon Rolls on the day before Thanksgiving and on Christmas Eve. Never been disappointed with Mama Mimi's Take-N-Bake Pizza.

I have to say that I have not been so fond of pizza through Covid and have done a lot of home cooking. But I decided to come to mama Mimi's and get a couple pizzas to cook at home. First of all, the staff is so incredibly welcoming and friendly. When you walk in, they are glad to talk through any of the choices and ingredients. These pizzas are not skimpy on the toppings! They are packaged very well and they stay non-messy in your car. Instructions are on the top of each pizza and cooking is only 8 to 10 minutes in your oven! These pizzas have an amazing yeast crust that tastes like the best crust you could have and cooked to golden brown and crunchy! The pizza keeps well in the refrigerator and it is an easy pull out meal when you are in a rush or just tired of cooking. We also bought a chicken artichoke pizza for Sunday! Can't wait to dive into that! That was so nice to have a complete weekend with no cooking. What a nice break. I highly recommend you try it!!

Decided it was a takeout type day and it would be a Mama Mimi's Take N Bake pizza time. First the guys (Hunter and George) working there are way cool and super helpful. Wealth of knowledge. Decided on the Pepperoni Trio-Three kinds of pepperoni, fresh garlic, parmesan & fresh basil. Looks delicious. They also threw in breadsticks with Parmesan cheese sprinkled on and sauce for being first time customer. They explained all the cooking instructions and tips. Again they are super helpful. Decided to start with the breadsticks first. Unwrap the package and preheated the oven to 450 degrees and baked them for 6 minutes on parchment paper provided. Boy were they delicious, they provided some nice chunky dipping sauce. Just right amount of spice. Directions for cooking are super simple, allowing the pizza to sit out for around 40 minutes and cook 8-10 minutes on the parchment paper provided. How easier can it get. The pizza crust is very thin, the sauce has a little spice to it. A lot of cheese covers the three types of pepperoni. I would cook it just a little bit longer to crisp it up. Not a bad pizza.

If you're walking in to Mama Mimi's in search of inexpensive and instantly gratifying pizza, you're in for a sore disappointment: in most circumstances, Mama sells her pizzas uncooked. No wonder the staff is always standing around doing nothing! Once you wrap your mind around the D.I.Y. notion here, Mama Mimi's a sold choice if you're in search of gourmet pizzas at not-so-gourmet prices. Toppings like capers, artichokes, sun-dried tomatoes, scallions, and feta cheese make the menu truly one of a kind and worth the trip, even if there's still work left to be done when you get home. I recommend preheating your oven as soon as you leave to pick up the pizza so you'll be ready to bake in no time. Mama's also offers a variety of pizzas with pre-selected toppings that cannot be found anywhere else in the city. The parma pesto chicken is a personal favorite of mine, and the Wing Ding tastes so much like an actual buffalo wing that its almost freaky. For being considered "lighter" options, the "Spa" pizzas, such as the spinach Green Goddess or The Mediterranean, are amazing as well. The next time you're in the mood for pizza, I challenge you to get off your lazy ass, heat up the oven, and make a trip to Mami Mimi's. You won't regret it!

Wow! Excellent service! Just walking in the shop I knew it would be good because it smelled amazing! Chris was great both on the phone and in person. My order was ready when I got there, and when Chris found out it was my first visit, he threw in an order of breadsticks and made sure I knew how to use the parchment paper and gave me recommendations on cook times. We got the primo veggie pizza, a pepperoni and pineapple calzone, the field greens salad, and the big cookie as a meal deal. May I say first that everything tasted and smelled very fresh. I pleasantly noticed a lack of saltiness that other chains have. This food wasn't salty, it was flavorful. You could taste the veggies and the cheese! The red sauce wasn't soupy..it was full of fresh tomatoes. I will definitely be back to try the lasagna.

Mama Mimi's has a concept tailor-made for a pandemic: they make it, you take it and bake it. For some reason I'd never noticed the restaurant despite having driven up and down that part of High Street at least 100 times. Either way, when driving past a couple of weeks ago, my girlfriend pointed it out, we looked it up, and decided to try it soon. Soon turned out to be this past weekend, and we wound up taking a long time to figure out what kind of pizza we wanted to split -- all the options looked delicious. We settled on the Kohl's Favorite, which consists of olive oil, garlic, caramelized onion, ham, bacon, parmesan, and mozzarella. The cook (Chef? Pizzarista?) spent three or four minutes preparing the pizza (i.e. they're not pre-made, which is a good thing), and explained the cooking process. We were surprised to learn that this kind of pizza shouldn't be refrigerated first, so we let it sit out at room temperature for a few hours until we were ready to bake it. The instructions said 450 degrees for 8-10 minutes, which seemed rather short to me, but I put it on for the minimum, and it was already a little burnt on the bottom! Not only that, but it had developed a few little dough tumors (which you can see in my photo), one of which was rather huge. I'm not sure what I might have done wrong, but it was a bit disappointing. That said, the pizza itself was delicious...especially the crust. In fact, I'd say it has one of the best pizza crusts (flavor-wise) I've ever had. We weren't overly wild about the actual toppings, but that's not Mama Mimi's fault. We both agreed that we would gladly try a different pizza next time...and that there *would* be a next time. We'll just be sure to cook it for a minute or two less whenever that time comes around.

The space is very bright and airy: loved the floral and plant vibes. Our server was kind but maybe a bit apprehensive because we brought our two daughters. Sometimes I feel bad bringing kids but honestly we deserve to have good food even if there are little mouths involved. We had the focaccia starter and it was as pillowy and sumptuous as it looked. Next was broccolini which our 8 month old devoured. I tried the funghi pasta and my husband had the sausage ragu. Both had generous portions. The kitchen made butter noodles for our daughter and she LOVED them. I was pleased they didn't try to doll them up because she really did just want noodles and butter. Finally, the octopus was sooo tasty. The sauce was super flavorful and I love a good bean addition. Delicious meal all around.

The ambiance was enjoyable, and our waitress provided decent service. For starters, I really enjoyed the gem salad -- it was refreshing -- and I also ordered a couple of glasses of Poggio Costa Prosecco to go with my Funghi pasta. Both were very good. However, we also ordered the lobster spaghetti and were not impressed. It was very bland, and the few pieces of lobster tasted slightly gamey. I would not recommend the lobster pasta, especially considering the price, as it appeared to be the most expensive pasta on the menu. The bill also included a fee labeled as "healthcare," which was not mentioned by our waitress. I had to look it up afterward since it was the first time I had seen a charge like that on a restaurant bill. I wanted to share this so others are aware of what to expect.

After skimming through the reviews I was a bit hesitant on coming here, but honestly I can assure you that the only thing I regret is not trying this place sooner. My boyfriend and I noticed it was in a small plaza and our first thought was that a "hole in the wall" place are usually the best so we were immediately excited. I did make a 6pm reservation after reading the reviews even though it was Wednesday and we were seated on arrival. We noticed the place was starting to get packed so I do agree that making a reservation would be best or try to avoid coming here on the weekends if you have issues with waiting or being crammed in small places. From start to finish, everything was a delight. Here's what we savored: * The homemade bread and butter- simply fantastic. I was going to ask for warm bread after reading a review, but since the waitress brought it out immediately I didn't mind and honestly it didn't need to be warm because it was good as is. The butter IS a true winner. I had to pace myself because I didn't want to fill up too soon! * Apps: WARNING portions are generous enough to be meals! We couldn't believe they were appetizers when it was brought out. Crab Cake- I've eaten a lot of crab cakes and I will say no, this wasn't the best crab cake I've had in my life BUT it was definitely a really good crab cake. Especially one with no breading. It was served with a delicious lemon butter sauce. Whoever wrote that the sauce was "sour" in a review made me giggle while eating this because I mean the sauce has lemon in it... hence the name, but even so the flavors were perfectly balanced and I enjoyed every bite. Fried Eggplant- okay my taste buds went over the moon with this one. An absolute standout. The eggplant was cooked to near perfection, and the creamy tomato sauce was to die for. 10/10! It was such a flavorful dish. Tossed Salad- a fresh, vibrant salad with a vinaigrette dressing so addictive we finished it in minutes. This is a unique salad because of the bow tie pasta in it. The tomatoes and green beans that also come in the salad are a nice touch and very enjoyable. * Entree- my boyfriend ordered the Chicken Marsala and he loved it! The chicken was cooked flawlessly, and the pasta was incredibly soft--possibly one of the best texture I've ever experienced. The marsala sauce was rich and flavorful. Ravioli- I opted for the spinach noodles with ricotta cheese and chose the link sausage. I also asked to have the crumbled sausage added as well (for an extra charge) because I needed to try this sausage that everyone has been talking about..... This Morettis sausage recipe does NOT disappoint. If you don't like "spice" you won't like it because it does have a kick to it, but I enjoy spicy. I will say I'm a fan of the crumbled sausage over the links though. It may be the same thing??? but I could go without the link casing. The ravioli were massive, perfectly stuffed, and absolutely delicious. Dessert: We couldn't resist not ordering and trying the dessert so we took it to go. They were offering a caramel apple cheesecake. After the food coma wore off, we enjoyed it at home, and I fell even more in love with this place. It's unlike anything I've tasted--cheesecake with apples inside is a game-changer! Every sauce and dish was outstanding, bursting with flavor and made with care. Karen took excellent care of us, making us feel welcome and ensuring we had a fantastic first experience. We're already planning our return to explore more of the menu. Thank you for a wonderful dinner. This place truly exceeded my expectations!

The crust was soft, chewy, and perfectly crisp, and that pizza sauce is perfection. My only complaint is they didn't have utensils available for takeout. We had a 20 minute drive home and were ready to dig in immediately, so that was a little disappointing. Already looking forward to our next visit.

Everything sounded great but my girlfriend picked the saccettini with the amatriciana sauce and I had the veal scalopini with a small side of saccettini. The meal was PERFECT! You could taste richness of the homemade saccettini stuffed with cheese. I was told that the pasta for the lasagna noodles are made on site which is used for the saccettini. The veal scallopini was so tender, I could cut it with a fork. Not too many capers, the right combination of butter, white wine and lemon. My girlfriend's amatriciana sauce (she was kind enough to give me a taste of two) had a little bit of a bite to it but not too much. It was mouth watering. I'm going to come back to try their cacio pepe that they mix in a cheese wheel in front of you!! 10/10!!
