Ordered two pies online. Pick up was fast after floating in cartoon character-style on the smell from the parking lot. Employees were very nice but most importantly the pizza crushed. The plain cheese hit my NYC cravings and the guys loved their pepperoni and banana peppers. read more

After hearing so much about how this is the closest thing to NY-style pizza, we finally got around to trying out Brooklyn Pizza. It is definitely the best NY-style pizza place that I have been to in Columbus. The restaurant also has the NYC vibes going with minimalistic pizzeria ambience, no-frills and to-the-point customer service, and delicious, foldable slices (to fold or not to fold - that is up to you). We ended up getting two pies - the cheese and the pesto chicken. The cheese was the clear winner between the two. I will definitely go back here for the cheese pizza, and wish they had other meat topping options such as beef or chicken for non-pork eaters. read more

At first I was hesitant to try Brooklyn Pizza with the constant complaints about the owner on social media. But, my experience was actually really pleasant. I am giving Brooklyn Pizza a 4/5 stars because there is always room for improvement. The service is what it is here. It's ran by a family and they focus more on creating a good quality of authentic New York pizza than trying to cater to peoples feelings and emotions. When I went the owner actually talked to me for a few minutes and asked me what my name was. He seemed nice and passionate about his profession. The pizza here is the real deal. It's one of the only authentic NY slices I've had outside of NY. I'm pretty sure the owner is from Brooklyn and brought his recipes with him. They serve pizza by the slice or pies as a whole. I would rate this pizza a 7.4/10. It has some NY flop to it, but the ingredients are fresh and it's reasonably priced. This pizza definitely resembles pizza in Brooklyn however. I wouldn't compare it to Di Faras and Lucali's. But, definitely reminds me of other places throughout Brooklyn. Overall, if you like New York style pizza and live in Columbus this is the place to go. The pizza was good but the problem is that I have never had to pay a convenience fee and a service fee to pickup a pizza. That fee is not worth my time to drive all the way over there to get a pizza. I can go to places closer to me and pizza just as good without paying these fees. Thanks for the first impression but not coming back to pay the convenience and service fee. read more

Quaint little pizza shop in Powell. The pizza here is decent, much better than others I've had in Ohio. Is it NY pizza though? No the sauce is a little too sweet and it's lacking cheese, the crust is nice and crispy and it is foldable. Zero Stars if I could! No matter how good something maybe, when your treated like crap that taste last a lot longer. Walked in, and the guy was completely rude--zero understanding of customer service. Hands down the worst experience I've ever had at a pizza place. I will never be back, nor will my family. Awesome pizza! Curt customer service. First: The pizza is great - crispy crust, fresh ingredients, hot and ready to go. The cheese is good, the sauce is nice and you can fold the pizza in two like a proper Brooklyn slice. Plus, it's cheap at $3/slice. I really wanted to love this place and give it five stars. Unfortunately, here's an Actual Exchange with this first-time customer: Guy making pizza (not cashier): "Can I help you?" Me, ascertaining what's quick since nothing's on the counter: "Yeah, I've never been here before." Pizza Guy, back to cutting pizza: "We sell pizza." Thanks, Pizza Guy. Wanted to try this local ny style pizza place after I heard from a friend. I liked that it appeared like true ny style thin crust pizza. The sauce and cheese were good but overall the pizza was bland. The crust was too tough and chewy. I read on some of the reviews that the owner is rude and I definitely saw that first hand. While I was picking up my pizza, the owner yelled at a pregnant lady in the store who asked for ranch dressing with her pizza. He said, " how many times do I have to tell people we don't have ranch,so stop asking!!" Definitely better pizza options around, so take your business elsewhere. Will probably not get pizza from there again. read more

This local pizza place is great! It's been on my list to try and i'm happy i went. I came at 12:15, they open at 12, and the place was already full. Everyone was eating by the slice which is perfect we can grab and go! I got a cheese and pepperoni slice and both were amazing. Not too greasy, not soggy underneath. Perfect crisp crust. Ah, tasty non chain pizza. It's been a long time since I have ordered their pizza - after A Slice of New York shut down on campus, Borgata kind of replaced my pizza cravings, but I've been eyeballing Brooklyn after my buddy suggested it (he's a picky pizza eater and loves the NY style), and my trips to Ill Mannered always make me eyeball it from across the street. They make delicious NY-style, thin crust (with a little crunch) pizza and CHEESY calzones. Like, super cheezy goodness - I wasn't even seeking a calzone, but my youngest said he wanted to try it! SO calzone and a pizza (1/2 cheese and 1/2 pepperoni) was ordered, and I'm a little irritated I didn't seek them out again sooner. Depending on your party - request the bar area if more adult group with conversation and fun in mind; as the atrium/patio area can be very loud with just a few young pizza lovers around. Recommend salad bar and pepperoni - simple is better here. Parking on 3 sides but be cautious as neighbor businesses are sensitive to share. Thanks for a good night.
