As an engineer, I found the assessment incomplete; there was no access to the motor, no terminal isolation, no resistance checks on the windings, and no inspection of the blower wheel. I mentioned I was getting the E65 error code, which manufacturer documentation links to a high limit thermostat trip, yet there was no check for restricted airflow, clogged venting, a faulty heating element, or a blown thermal fuse. Just a blanket statement that the motor needed replacement. Providing additional information to the techs is just irrelevant, I guess. I hired a professional because I don't have time to do the diagnostics myself. After paying $110 for the visit, I was quoted nearly $1,000 to replace the motor--and contrary to what their website states, the $110 was not applied toward a possible repair. Very disappointing.

I then called a different company who replaced the belt for 30 dollars. This happened several years back and I still have the machine which works great now that the belt was replaced. I keep this company's magnetic business card on my fridge underneath a big red circle with a line through it so my family knows to never call this place again.
