Got delivery. Delicious soup and chicken with broccoli rabe. Delivery was good, prices were fair and portions were generous.

Came in with my girlfriend and we grabbed a chicken bacon ranch slice penne vodka slice and a regular cheese slice with a penne vodka pasta. Pizza crust had such a nice crispiness. The pasta was covered in so much sauce and it came with bread to dip. Food came out quickly and its nice and quiet in here. read more

Soo, I ordered a slice with mushrooms. I got a nice crispy crust with a minuscule amount of sauce, dry cheese and some thick brown dry mushrooms laying loosely on top. I took a bite... and dumped the mushrooms in the plate. They were not brown from cooking, they were f-ing old. I ate the rest of the slice because I was f-ing hungry. I still am hungry. I took the plate with rotten mushrooms back to the counter. "Hey guys, I have had the best slice of my life here! Look at this, what is this s--t?" They just looked sadly at me with knowing guilt. When I first moved to Verona, Borino's was recommended to me as a great place to get a plain pie for a great price. The location is right near Verona Park, you can park on Bloomfield ave and run in. It's small and unassuming inside, with a counter and a few tables to eat, but nothing fancy. I've had their pies numerous times now and it's never disappointed. On Tuesdays, a large plain pie is only $10. Not only is it cheap, but it's great and always comes out piping hot and fresh. Highly recommend trying out this local spot! read more

We've ordered from here several times. One of the previous times we ordered, the delivery guy couldn't find our apartment and called me yelling out of frustration. He eventually showed up but had put the order of mozzarella sticks on top of the pizza box, crushing the pizza and causing the cheese and toppings to stick to the roof. I told him I wasn't accepting the pie like that and he said it was my fault because he couldn't find our place (???). I called the store and they offered to send a new order, but we declined. We decided to try ordering from here again and the delivery went much smoother (super quick and no issues of finding our place). I ordered the grilled eggplant sandwich on a whole wheat wrap, which per the menu comes with fresh mozzarella and arugula. I opened my wrap to find 1) breaded, not grilled, eggplant 2) no mozzarella and 3) lettuce, tomato and onion- no arugula in sight. Disappointing but I was hungry and didn't feel like calling and waiting for a new one so I ate it. Overall their food is just okay; not bad, but with so many (better) Italian options in the area that have far less hiccups in the ordering process, I would pass on ordering from here again. read more

I live in the area but haven't been to Borino's. I've seen some good reviews, so while driving by earlier, I decided to stop in for a hot sandwich to take out for my lunch. The moment I noticed that only a few of the employees were wearing masks and none were using gloves (including those preparing food), it killed my appetite immediately. I understand that masks and gloves are a pain, but other local restaurants are taking extraordinary measures to ensure the safest possible food prep environment, so when I see this sort of careless attitude towards the health of customers and employees, to me, it's unforgivable. Perhaps when COVID-19 is a thing of the past I will consider returning to actually try the food, but for the moment I won't be risking my health by eating anything from Borino's. Decide for yourself if it's worth the risk. read more

Was craving some good old Sicilian pizza today and one of my friends happen to mention this place while we were at the pool today. When my family got home to figure out dinner my husband was looking around on Yelp to see what other pizzerias are around that got good reviews that we've never been to and he just so mentioned this restaurant so we decided to order and boy were we not disappointed! The crust is very light and crunching the sauce is complete Perfection and not too much cheese makes a perfect balance for this yummy Sicilian pie! We will definitely be heading back there soon to try some more stuff! read more

Loved it! I love a good Sicilian pizza and Borino's did not disappoint. We got the grandma's pizza, Sicilian style and it was delicious. I don't know what else I can say. Being that it was Sicilian (thicker slices) 4 of us were able to eat and we had a slice or two left over. I can't wait to try other pizza from here because we defiantly will be back. Once again Borrino's doesn't surprise me. I ordered a chicken parm sandwich and fried calamari with one slice. They forgot my slice. I called back and the apologised immediately. Not only did I get my slice delivered to my house in about five minutes. They actually came with two extra slices for the inconvenience. These guys are bangin the food out quickly with quality. I love this place. The guy who runs the show is a people person and he makes an excellent pie. Their sauce is amazing. I recommend the roni pie. Best Roni pie in the area in my opinion because the spicy pepperoni combined with the sweet tomato sauce and the crispy crust all works well together. Their siciliano pizza is really good as well and i like it with meatballs on top. Bam! Blackened chicken salad is everything I want in a salad and the price is right. I just ordered this tonight and it tasted like someone added a burned up cigarette in the sauce or water... just horrible, no taste just wet burnt up broccoli. It's interesting because the broccoli was so fresh it's just whomever made it.... Burnt the hell out of it.I wouldn't ever try this ever again you couldn't pay me too. I put some my plate tried one piece and put it right back in the container and so did my boyfriend. What a waste of ($6). If someone can imagine the smell of smokey water or the smell of a cigarette in the rain (which is a nice comparison) imagine that smokey smell but 100x worse! Besides that being my only complaint every time I order the food has been hot and the delivery people are so friendly, which is reason enough for me to continue to order. Just beware of the horrendous sautéed broccoli if you get it delivered... Let this be your warning! New update: 8/21- if your ordering a single slice don't, I ordered one with my lunch, waiting over an hour for my food to be delivered and it was cold, when called they said it came fresh out the oven.. Ordered a pizza from here via Grubhub for the first time. It was actually really good! The sauce had a great flavor and taste. A large 18 inch pizza for only $12.99. Can't beat that! I give it 4 stars, my husband gives it 3.5. I did the online order feature which was nice & easy. I ordered a 18" pie, 1/2 mushroom & 1/2 sausage, onion & peppers. They kind of skimped out on the mushrooms though, It was as if he gave me a handful of mushrooms for 1/2 the pie. I would of preferred a handful of mushrooms per slice! The eggplant rollatini app was also yummy. I'm curious to try the cheesesteak due to the rave reviews. I'll keep you posted when I ever get around to that. :) read more
