Get delivery quite often but I am knocking a star off as this last time I tried to place an order I was hung up on twice and then told by someone in a noisy setting that someone would call me back and they never did. If you are busy please just say so. Some places will tell you that there is a bit of a wait but they will take an order if you want to wait. This felt rude. We love the food and variety and will certainly order again. But just fyi. The gentleman I spoke with last time was so lovely on the phone. I went into this experience with bad energy because I was mad that the place I originally had in mind was closed. However, my cousin was right - Pizza Terminal is ALSO great! We ordered a to-go order of spinach and artichoke Sicilian as well as a grandma and drunken grandma half and half. To round it out we got calamari, a Caesar salad, and French fries. I've been here a few times but last time I went and wasn't all that great and it was first thing in the morning. I was a little bit underwhelmed as I just didn't have the taste as I did the first time I went. I have to give credit when credit is due. Today, I astrayed from my usual Brooklyn pizza and ordered the spinach and artichoke pizza. I got my usual mini sicilian for $15, which weilds 6 heavy slices, sicilian style. To this, I added bacon as well. Baby, let me tell y'all how I floored I was with this pizza. I was debating about the white sauce because sometimes it can be too much, but no, this was absolutely well executed. The bacon was a maple type, and it added another layer to the ongoing flavors and easily complimented it. My kids were like, "Where did you get this pizza???" I'm like the same spot. It's always a rave review if my foodie children even bother to find out who made it lol. It was so delicious, and the crust is always impeccable. Almost a sourdough type. Very delicious. Ordered a pizza through Slice app with half meatball and half pepperoni. It arrived without pepperoni. I contacted Slice and they claimed the restaurant ran out of pepperoni and didn't tell me, so they refunded $1.75. Not acceptable and I would have ordered elsewhere. In Decenber I ordered a pizza from same place and it took three hours to arrive and two days to get a refund. I spoke to a woman who answered the phone, maybe Arlene, and I told her I ordered from there frequently, but never again, and she said that was OK, and didn't seem to care. read more

I've been wanting to visit the Pizza Terminal for a while now. With Barstool's Dave Portnoy visiting and doing a review, it's become very popular. The restaurant is located in a strip mall on Bloomfield Ave in Verona. I intentionally didn't listen to his review because I wanted to judge myself. After, I listened in the car. Since it was my first time, I got 2 slices of plain. The pizza has a very thin crust which was delicious. My only issue was that it was cooked a little too much. Dave gave it a 7.8 and I'd agree with him. There were so many great looking pies on display, next time I'll be more adventurous! Prices are very reasonable. Service was friendly. Pizza Terminal has been getting some love in the New Jersey Pizza community, so I decided to give it a chance. I certainly wasn't disappointed. Everything at the counter looked so delicious, but I settled on three slices: the Brooklyn, the Grandma, and a Drunken Grandma. The Brooklyn slice featured some deliciously sweet caramelized onions and a delicious sauce. The slice also had a crisp base and a fluffy interior. The Grandma had a slightly thinner base but was also incredibly delicious. The interior was super fluffy, but the crisp base provided a good structure. The soft, fluffy, bready crust really blew me away. The Drunken Grandma featured a cheesy, creamy sauce on the same wonderful crisp base. All of the slices were fluffy, yet light and airy. If I wasn't saving room for a few other pizza stops on my pizza crawl, I would have ordered a few more slices! read more

No complaints when visiting Pizza Terminal. Walked in twice and ordered to go. The first time I ordered was Super Bowl Sunday; they were crazy busy but managed to get me out a small pie quickly. The second time was simply a large pie to go. Both times the pizza was good. This is a heartier-crust pizza and a few slices are filling. There are a few tables set up inside for dining, but it's really got the look and feel of takeout overall. Okay I must admit that I thought this pizza will be like any other one. Glad I was proven wrong. I got a plain pie and it was very damn good. Reminded me of those NY slices. I don't usually write reviews on food yet we ordered 5 pies for a little office party last night and after having a bite or 2 of the first slice, nobody wanted to eat any more. All of the pizzas were very dry and were delivered cold. It was as if they held back on the cheese and the sause to account for the lower priced pies. I tried Pizza Terminal not long after they were named the winner of best pizza in NJ at the PizzaBowl. They did not disappoint. Sauce is flavorful and seasoned well without overdoing it. I don't always eat the pizza crust but theirs is delicious. The staff is wonderful and always friendly. One tip: Order ahead. They get busy at dinner time and during football games. I went to see my brother today who lives in Verona. He ordered a pie & soup from here and I picked it up for him. The pizza was to die for. OMG! it was absolutely delicious. It was well done just the way we love it. My brother said the soup was amazing too. I would definitely recommend this place. While I was there picking up-the guy was bringing house salads to a table and the lettuce looked so fresh, I was so impressed. I'll definitely travel from Roseland to Verona for a salad from here. My regular place was closed for vacation, and someone recommended Terminal (thought they hadn't been there in a while). We called in the order on a Sunday night, and were told we could pick up in 30 minutes. I arrived and there we're 5 employees, and two customers ahead of me. Employee 1) Working furiously, while yelling employee #2 Employee 2) trying to help, but getting yelled at for "being in the way" Employee 3) hiding in the back. Peeked out occassionally. 4 & 5) behind the counter, but standing off to the side looking at their phones. The counter phone was ringing, but #1 yelled at the others to just let it ring. Music blasting (as mentioned in other reviews). Customer #1's order wasn't ready, so they worked on that. Then they forgot all of the customers. No one ever tried to help any of the rest of us, while we all stood there at the counter. I was there for 20 minutes, and eventually there were 6 customers, and none of us were even acknowledged until the first order was done. It turns out my order was ready the whole time, getting cold on the counter. When we opened our order the soup we ordered was wrong. Instead of Italian Wedding they gave us Minestrone. Tough for me to mix these up, since one is a chicken broth base, while the other is made with tomatoes, which one of our party can't eat (hence the reason we got a soup, since she couldn't eat the pizza). I called and miraculously they picked up, but he yelled at me that the soup is right, and that's just how they make it there. The food was okay (what they got right). Meant to write this review back during Christmas week. Even had some photos but cannot find them. We had guests who took the red eye from California. All they wanted was good east coast pizza asap. I had never been here before but they open at 10 am. I called in for a large regular cheese pizza. Ready when they said and I must have been first order of the day. It would seem that good pizza with good customer service is now the mythical unicorn of the food industry. I've been ordering religiously and loyally from this place since moving to the neighborhood about 6 years ago. I've let slide quite a bit in the interest of how good the pizza has been historically. I'm the kind of person that will gladly give my business as long as I consistently receive quality food and service. When it comes to pizza, when I find my spot, that becomes my spot period. That's what pizza terminal WAS to me. The last several delivery orders have been complete let downs. The pizza has been arriving a hot mess. When you open the box, it's just a disaster of cheese everywhere and the dough is undercooked. They aren't letting the cheese settle and it's a nightmare when trying to cut a slice. Also, I've previously experienced receiving the wrong food items and this directly plays into tonight's mishaps. So, I've been a fan of their buffalo WINGS, the small bone in WINGS, that phonemically, sounds nothing like "tenders" or "fingers". Well, the guy taking phone orders seems to think otherwise because he erroneously sent tenders instead of wings on two separate occasions (tonight & 1 other instance). Now, what really irritates me to no end is when these employees do not take any accountability for their errors. Tonight, the guy I spoke to challenged me when I mentioned that I ordered wings and not tenders. I referenced the previous incident of receiving tenders instead of wings, and his tone went from, "that's not what I heard because I read every order back," to "maybe I misheard, I receive over 50 orders a day, & how do you want me to fix this?" Had he lead with a more understanding approach, it might have turned out differently. I was completely turned off by the response and chose to let it be and told him not to bother. Also, I don't really understand the relevance of how many orders they receive everyday. You're the employee not me. It's not my problem. I am paying you money for services rendered and if said service cannot be fulfilled then that is an internal business problem, not the customer's. Figure it out. Hire more staff, take less orders, etc. On a side note, when I hung up, my wife (who was in the room when I placed the order) told me that she heard me say "wings and not "tenders." She even mentioned to me that she was thinking to have me ensure that they heard it right because of the last incident but she chose not to. The adage, "Never expect anything from anybody" has never been more true regrettably. Nowadays, expect the worst, brace for impact, and hope that whatever it is that you PAID for doesn't completely suck. Sadly, this will be the last time I order from here. Back to the drawing board for a new pizza place. Another restaurant/ food establishment that has plummeted in value since the pandemic. Price hikes, subpar food, and subpar service. Nobody wants to stand up and admit their mistakes anymore. The customer is always wrong these days I guess. Honestly, had he just came out and said, I apologize for the error. I'll be happy to correct this for you. Would you like me to send you another order?"...This would have turned out differently. read more

A few more thoughts on this place, I live in Caldwell, so I have TonyD's, Angeloni's , Forte's, not to mention Russillo's the Barn, Fresco and Frank's . The first three are all great pizza which do all their own deliveries , I like the Terminal pie, but I'm sorry, since we are a little over 2 miles away, an hour and a half is far too long for delivery.
