Right in Green Valley Resort. Nice layout and comfortable bar setting with tvs. Good vibe. Food was surpisingly good for a casino property. Salad with beef. avacado toast and cerviche all were very good. My only complaint after going there a few times were the two woman bartenders. Very unresponsive. Hard to get their attention. One was chatting with two patrons for extended time. Just not on top of getting your order or seeing if you need anything. Food is brought out quickly though from kitchen servers. I've seen "must drink alcohol to enjoy it" cantina-type spots before, and this might be another one. Borracha, which translates directly to a state of inebriation, is the Mexican restaurant and bar inside Green Valley Ranch Resort Spa and Casino in Henderson. This casino surprised me with promotional dining offers this month, so I decided to take advantage of that to visit at least one spot which I previously hadn't. I waited until Saturday night and predictably had to settle for seat at the bar, which was pretty packed, to avoid a long wait. It was pretty busy, but a bartender eventually got to me and took my order. She also offered free chips and salsa, which were pretty solid. The chips are crunchy and plentiful, and the salsa is a pureed red salsa that's mild enough. My actual order was not as exciting though. The Carne Asada Steak Tacos ($19.00) came with a good amount of steak, but they were all cubed rather than sliced, which kept them pretty chewy. The sauce was something really bland and dark red rather than the chimichurri which was described on the menu, and I found myself adding the complimentary salsa from the chips to help. The rice was also too dry and the side of beans was very unremarkable. Borracha doesn't appear to be some hidden gem which I've been missing all these years, but rather just a bar with some relatively affordable eats for those who are hoping for a step above the food court but don't want American fare. Maybe I'll try a couple more entrees with the upcoming weeks' dining credits, or maybe not. If you aren't coming here for happy hour, I would just skip it entirely. read more

Borracha is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants, which is located inside the Green Valley Resort Hotel & Casino. My favorite dish there is the Chili Lime Shrimp tacos because, it is served with a Jalapeño Aioli which makes it so gooood! I have tried other dishes & everything I had was great! They also serve chips & salsa as well, while you wait for your meal & the salsa is always flavorful. I do have to mention, since I love spicy foods, that they have one of the best habanero salsas I have ever had! Our favorite place to sit is always at the bar where the service is Always stellar! As our bartender, Nicky is always kind & attentive & always treats us like family. The restaurant is always clean & the ambiance is always warm & welcoming & is perfect for a date or just a night out with friends. I also have to add that they have an amazing Taco Tuesday with all you can eat tacos & all you can drink tequila & margaritas for only 29! Kinda over it. Made a reservation to sit down after watching a movie at the regal theater downstairs. We showed up with no hostess at the counter in a five minute wait. When she finally came up and checked us in, I said you know is there a booth available which I had requested and she said oh yeah it's all ready for you but we need to have you wait. I said OK. Another five minutes went by while she was seating somebody else that came after us and at that point I was kinda over it. Stood in front of the restaurant for 11 minutes and didn't get seated and I had a reservation and the place was more than half empty. Lost my business for good. read more

This is a nice Mexican restaurant inside GVR casino. The ambiance is so lively! We were started off with their house chips and salsa which is a nice touch. If you are looking for a spicy salsa, ask for their habanero salsa, you won't be disappointed! We tired queso dip, chili renello, carne asada skirt steak and Mexican street corn, everything was so delicious! Chili renello had this amazing crust, served with red and green enchilada sauce was the best I ever had. The Mexican sweet corn has the perfect char served with a delicious chipotle aioli. I popped in for a quick item off of the Happy Hour Menu. The Hostess and the waitress were both pleasant. I arrived at the opening so not many in the restaurant. The decor was very nice. Not the best all around Happy Hour as far as value; the portions very small. The quantity has much to desire for; 2 Street Tacos $8, 2 small carne asada sliders $8; 4 chicken wings $8...The Chicken Nachos on smaller side $8...not much to be excited about here. Borracha is a nice hangout spot to watch some sports, have a drink and quick bite to eat. It is one of the restaurants inside of Green Valley Ranch. I suggest making reservations for Thursday - Saturday night dining as it is not very big and fills up rather quickly. The atmosphere is lively and there are televisions everywhere with a variety of different sports on the screens. There really is not a bad seat in the house. We were seated, and was greeted with a bowl of warm tortilla chips and salsa. The chips were thin and crisp and the salsa was tasty. I was there for dinner and ordered their shrimp burrito plate, which comes with rice and beans, as well as an order of their street corn, off the cob. Wife ordered their carne asada skirt steak, which is also accompanied by beans and rice. The burrito was completely filled with cheese which overpowered everything in the burrito. It was like having a quesadilla burrito. The shrimp were on the small side of the spectrum, U60 - U70. For the price, I was expecting a bigger shrimp. On the bright side, my wife's skirt steak was perfectly cooked to her request for medium temperature. It was tender, juicy and masterfully seasoned. I think I ate more of her steak than my burrito to be honest and the street corn on the side, paired nicely with it. 3-stars as the burrito was so-so, while the steak and service were excellent. I will give them another try and on my next burrito order will ask for less cheese. read more

We came for Taco Tuesday and not only were the drinks and tacos amazing but our server Mia?! Really put the cherry on top! She was super bubbly and absolutely amazing! Located inside of Green Valley Ranch Casino. It's a pretty lively place with a busy bar and TV's everywhere you look. I was recently here for a work dinner and our group of eight enjoyed everything. We all took advantage of the $5 margaritas on Wednesdays with the purchase of an entree. The drinks were great and the food was even better. My anchiote chicken burrito was very large and was served with rice and beans. The burrito had a good amount of smokey spice that I really enjoyed. This time I came for a date night with my boyfriend, and he loved it just as much as I do. The food was honestly so good. Ordered a Bloody Maria, delicious but I had a headache that got worse when I sat, migraine where the room was spinning and flashing so I took an aspirin and sipped on the drink, hated wasting a lot of it but I didn't have a choice. Got Chilaquiles which were delicious and they bring out salsa and chips which are always good. Brother got queso and loved it and Chicken quesadillas and loved those. Nice restaurant inside Green Valley Ranch. Our waitress was super nice, she brought us chips and salsa as soon as we get in. And we were super hungry so she brought us another bowl of chips and another ball of salsa. They have quite selection of beers. I had shrimp ceviche which was tasty, and pretty big. My friend had empenadas and waitress told her it is super small so she might want something else with this. Tacos were super big portion and it came together with beans and rice. I attended a birthday dinner here last week. It was my first time trying this restaurant. Ambiance - I loved the decor. It was warm with a nice bar in the center. Food - I had the Veggie Fajitas. Sadly, it was bland. It wasn't enough pico and I would've loved for guacamole and corn tortillas to come with it. I had the Sangria Blanca to drink. It was pretty good. Service - it's solid overall. Final thoughts - I believe that this is an option for families to eat for a decent price, but it just wasn't for me. 3.5 stars for this experience if the option was available. read more

While charging our car in the parking lot of the Green Valley Ranch Casino, we went inside to check out the restaurants for dinner. We decided on Borracha - billing itself as a "Mexican Cantina" but in reality a nice restaurant and sports bar. We were promptly seated at a comfortable booth in the back by the bar where multiple screens were showing different sports events. Our server was the very friendly Kayla. What turned out to be gratis "endless chips and salsa" was promptly placed on the table (good salsa btw). I ordered my go-to dish for a first time visit to a Mexican restaurant, the carne asada dinner plate ($33) described on the menu as "Grilled skirt steak, chimichurri sauce, grilled onions" and my partner ordered the carne asada bowl ($19) described on the menu as "Brown rice, grilled corn, black beans, guacamole, cherry tomatoes pico, Gochujang sauce, bean sprouts, coleslaw dressing your choice of protein." My dinner came with rice and beans as well as some tortillas. The portions were generous, my carne asada was prepared medium as requested and was tender and delicious. My partner enjoyed his carne asada bowl. Kayla and her associates remained attentive throughout the meal, which came to a little over $66 with tax and tip. Bottom line: All-in-all we found Borracha to be a nice restaurant with comfortable seating, friendly, attentive staff, and good food at relatively reasonable prices. If you find yourself in the vicinity of the Green Valley Ranch Casino and have a craving for Mexican food, I recommend you give Borracha a try. read more

We went here on a Saturday for lunch, and the restaurant was packed. They offer $25 bottomless Micheladas on Saturdays and Sundays before 4 pm. They also had a weekend brunch menu and I decided to try the pozole from the brunch menu instead of my normal enchiladas. The pozole was tasty and definitely worth the $11 price.
