This is a nice Mexican restaurant inside GVR casino. The ambiance is so lively! We were started off with their house chips and salsa which is a nice touch. If you are looking for a spicy salsa, ask for their habanero salsa, you won't be disappointed! We tired queso dip, chili renello, carne asada skirt steak and Mexican street corn, everything was so delicious! Chili renello had this amazing crust, served with red and green enchilada sauce was the best I ever had. The Mexican sweet corn has the perfect char served with a delicious chipotle aioli. Our server Jodine was amazing, she was friendly, efficient and made some great food and drink suggestions esp their mezcal old fashioned. I also love that they are a VGK bar!! read more

I popped in for a quick item off of the Happy Hour Menu. The Hostess and the waitress were both pleasant. I arrived at the opening so not many in the restaurant. The decor was very nice. Not the best all around Happy Hour as far as value; the portions very small. The quantity has much to desire for; 2 Street Tacos $8, 2 small carne asada sliders $8; 4 chicken wings $8...The Chicken Nachos on smaller side $8...not much to be excited about here. Let me be clear, this review and its rating is solely about my reception to the restaurant at the hostess stand. The food here was incredible and the waitress we had was top notch so I have zero complaints there. That being said I'd be lying if they first interaction didn't sully my outlook for the entirety of the dinner, let me explain. My finance and I walk up to the hostess stand and there are 3 people standing there all of whom seem to be doing their best to avoid eye contact with me, none of them greet me in the slightest. I had to greet them and ask for a table, ok a little rude but ok. Then getting them to seat us felt like an inconvenience to them like how dare you make me do my job. One of the ladies (very tall in a very short skirt) actually takes her time to ask us if we want a booth or a table all while this guy in a red jacket is just staring me down the whole time as if to say "what the hell do you think your doing coming to this restaurant" which was extremely rude. I see this same guy walking around later and realize it wasn't a me thing that's just his whole thing he's just an a-hole to everyone, staff included. It very much seemed like he was micro-managing everyone but didn't actually do anything himself, clearly the definition of a manager. Once we got seated and we met our waitress everything else was fine but that initial interaction set the tone for the whole dinner and kind of ruined our experience. The food was delicious so we'll probably be back but not anytime soon which is sad since I live 5 minutes from gvr. I hope they figure out what the deal is at the just stand because that was a terrible first impression for the whole restaurant. read more

Borracha is a nice hangout spot to watch some sports, have a drink and quick bite to eat. It is one of the restaurants inside of Green Valley Ranch. I suggest making reservations for Thursday - Saturday night dining as it is not very big and fills up rather quickly. The atmosphere is lively and there are televisions everywhere with a variety of different sports on the screens. There really is not a bad seat in the house. We were seated, and was greeted with a bowl of warm tortilla chips and salsa. The chips were thin and crisp and the salsa was tasty. I was there for dinner and ordered their shrimp burrito plate, which comes with rice and beans, as well as an order of their street corn, off the cob. Wife ordered their carne asada skirt steak, which is also accompanied by beans and rice. The burrito was completely filled with cheese which overpowered everything in the burrito. It was like having a quesadilla burrito. The shrimp were on the small side of the spectrum, U60 - U70. For the price, I was expecting a bigger shrimp. On the bright side, my wife's skirt steak was perfectly cooked to her request for medium temperature. It was tender, juicy and masterfully seasoned. I think I ate more of her steak than my burrito to be honest and the street corn on the side, paired nicely with it. 3-stars as the burrito was so-so, while the steak and service were excellent. I will give them another try and on my next burrito order will ask for less cheese. read more

We were here on Saturday but I forgot to leave a review. Sat right sown on the left, in a booth. Ordered a Bloody Maria, delicious but I had a headache that got worse when I sat, migraine where the room was spinning and flashing so I took an aspirin and sipped on the drink, hated wasting a lot of it but I didn't have a choice. Got Chilaquiles which were delicious and they bring out salsa and chips which are always good. Brother got queso and loved it and Chicken quesadillas and loved those. He also got fried ice cream and tres leches lake to go and said they were both fantastic. Very clean and comfortable, The booths are big and roomy. Located inside of Green Valley Ranch Casino. It's a pretty lively place with a busy bar and TV's everywhere you look. I was recently here for a work dinner and our group of eight enjoyed everything. We all took advantage of the $5 margaritas on Wednesdays with the purchase of an entree. The drinks were great and the food was even better. My anchiote chicken burrito was very large and was served with rice and beans. The burrito had a good amount of smokey spice that I really enjoyed. I hope we come back here to do it again sometime soon. I also noticed they have a weekday happy hour from 4-6 so I need to see what's that's all about. read more

This time I came for a date night with my boyfriend, and he loved it just as much as I do. The food was honestly so good. I ordered the chicken enchiladas, and he got the tostada salad -- both were flavorful and satisfying. You have to try the bean and cheese dip... it's so good. Nice restaurant inside Green Valley Ranch. Our waitress was super nice, she brought us chips and salsa as soon as we get in. And we were super hungry so she brought us another bowl of chips and another ball of salsa. They have quite selection of beers. I had shrimp ceviche which was tasty, and pretty big. I attended a birthday dinner here last week. It was my first time trying this restaurant. Ambiance - I loved the decor. It was warm with a nice bar in the center. Food - I had the Veggie Fajitas. Sadly, it was bland. It wasn't enough pico and I would've loved for guacamole and corn tortillas to come with it. I had the Sangria Blanca to drink. It was pretty good. Service - it's solid overall. Final thoughts - I believe that this is an option for families to eat for a decent price, but it just wasn't for me. 3.5 stars for this experience if the option was available. read more

While charging our car in the parking lot of the Green Valley Ranch Casino, we went inside to check out the restaurants for dinner. We decided on Borracha - billing itself as a "Mexican Cantina" but in reality a nice restaurant and sports bar. We were promptly seated at a comfortable booth in the back by the bar where multiple screens were showing different sports events. Our server was the very friendly Kayla. What turned out to be gratis "endless chips and salsa" was promptly placed on the table (good salsa btw). I ordered my go-to dish for a first time visit to a Mexican restaurant, the carne asada dinner plate ($33) described on the menu as "Grilled skirt steak, chimichurri sauce, grilled onions" and my partner ordered the carne asada bowl ($19) described on the menu as "Brown rice, grilled corn, black beans, guacamole, cherry tomatoes pico, Gochujang sauce, bean sprouts, coleslaw dressing your choice of protein." My dinner came with rice and beans as well as some tortillas. The portions were generous, my carne asada was prepared medium as requested and was tender and delicious. My partner enjoyed his carne asada bowl. Kayla and her associates remained attentive throughout the meal, which came to a little over $66 with tax and tip. Bottom line: All-in-all we found Borracha to be a nice restaurant with comfortable seating, friendly, attentive staff, and good food at relatively reasonable prices. We went here on a Saturday for lunch, and the restaurant was packed. They offer $25 bottomless Micheladas on Saturdays and Sundays before 4 pm. They also had a weekend brunch menu and I decided to try the pozole from the brunch menu instead of my normal enchiladas. The pozole was tasty and definitely worth the $11 price. Honestly shocked at how far Borracha at Green Valley Ranch has gone downhill. My family and I used to come here 2-3 times a month since they first opened, but after this experience we won't be back. We stood at the front for almost 15 minutes with nobody acknowledging us. My wife finally practically walked toward the kitchen asking if anyone was even working, and one of the bussers looked confused and asked where the hostess was. Turns out the hostess had been sitting hidden in a booth on her phone the entire time before finally getting up. She then told us there was a 10-15 minute wait for a table, despite there being at least 10 clearly open tables right in front of us. To make things easier, we agreed to just sit at the bar but asked for it to be wiped off since it was covered in food. In response the hostess looked at us with a disgusted smug look, like I asked her to do something that's not her job. Then it somehow got even worse. We finally sat down at the bar for another 15 minutes, while two bartenders completely ignored us the entire time. No greeting, no "be right with you," nothing, not even a water. Avoided eye contact the entire time but served the people around us. It honestly felt intentional by the end of it. For a place we used to genuinely enjoy and support regularly as locals, this was unbelievably disappointing. Service has completely fallen apart and the atmosphere feels nothing like it used to. read more

Had a reservation today (Saturday) at 5pm. We were greeted and seated right away. The water and chips/salsa came out immediately. Ordered a beer (ice cold) and a soft drink. Quite an extensive menu. Met friends here last for dinner. I live across town and they by GVR so I go up and meet up with them here on Fridays sometimes and we hang. I have never eaten here which is surprising because I love Mexican food. They suggested dinner so say less! It's smaller than I thought but a great layout and open concept. The chips and salsa were delicious. I could drink the salsa! I had a Cadillac margarita. Good flavor but it wasn't STRONG so that was a tiny bummer. I got carne asada tacos. Came with beans and rice. Wow! This was delicious! I've been here a couple of times in the past though not in the last year or so and I think this might make my restaurant rotation! The queso dip was fun item to share and I really enjoyed my brown rice bowl with carne asada. Our waiter was friendly and efficient and everything came out of the kitchen pretty quickly. Located inside the beautiful GVR. I have passed here so many times but never took the time to try it, don't make this mistake! They have great menu options and gluten free options that I appreciate so much with having an allergy. The service here was pretty great, very night from the hostess to the server. I wasn't too fond of the chips and dip, chips weren't warm and the dip was more on the tomato side. However, our main dishes were amazing! I opted for the chicken enchiladas and the salsa verde on top was amazinggg. The chicken was warm and tender and the cheese was melted to perfection. 5 Stars Came back to Borracha Mexican Cantina last night after a long gap thanks to a birthday voucher and honestly, I'm glad I did. Tried their Tacos & Tequila Tuesday deal (AYCE tacos and tequila... yes, really), and it absolutely delivered. The tacos were excellent. Loved the more rustic corn tortillas, proper texture, real flavor, and every taco we tried was well-seasoned and thoughtfully put together. Nothing felt generic or rushed. This is legit taco execution, not filler food. Drinks were a standout. Margaritas didn't taste like sugary mix at all; clean, balanced, and made with a smooth blanco tequila that actually deserves to be in the glass. Even the shots were surprisingly clean and easy, which says a lot. Service was phenomenal. Friendly, attentive, and completely on top of it without being intrusive. The staff clearly knows how to run a busy night while keeping guests taken care of. We also added the empanadas from the appetizer menu. They're on the smaller side, but don't let that fool you--they're packed with flavor and absolutely worth ordering. The Día de los Muertos-inspired vibe, murals, and energy of the space round everything out nicely. Between the food, drinks, and service, this was an A+++ experience. Joe, this restaurant is in a hotel and casino so if you want to go ahead and gamble, and then stop off and get some tequila and tacos in your life, this is a good option! So if you wanted to come and maybe check out a game or so you could do that, but it's not a sports bar. Let me make sure you know LOL. The Tuesday special you pay a set price and you get all the tacos and all the tequila that you want. Now it's going to be house tequila, but the shots keep coming. Coming. The tacos are standard tacos, nothing crazy. If you want chicken or a few on steak, that's fine. But if you want something a little bit more extravagant, those most rocking cause extra and are not included in the plan. The tacos come with lime and salsa. They were okay though, a little bit dry but it's all you can eat so I'm not complaining. They were good enough! The tequila was House tequila, I'm not sure which one it was don't expect anything super high-end. But it got you where you needed to be. So with this Tuesday special you can do shots or you could do margaritas. The margaritas for me were a no-go. We didn't like them at all. I don't even think we finished one full one, we just kept ordering shots. I think we did like 10 A piece that night LOL. Also be worried that they're only supposed to give you the shots one at the time. But if you have a cool server, they can give you more than one. I guess they want to make sure people don't waste the shots. Overall, it's a little bit far off if you are just trying to stay in Vegas, but at the same time, this is a really good deal. Then we were seated next to the entrance to either the kitchen or bathroom because it was high traffic area. My husband thought the restaurant reminded him of one you see in an airport due to the size and layout. The best thing I ate was the chips and salsa. I had a margarita and it tasted like it was a pre-made mix. Not freshly made. The queso fundido was missing the flavor that enjoy from queso fundido and had too many veggies. Met a friend for dinner on a Sunday evening at Borracha! I was not disappointed! We both sipped on a strawberry mezcal margarita. It was perfectly sweet to balance the salty chips. I selected the Chicken Tacos and substituted the jalapeño aioli for the chipotle aioli. The waitress was extremely helpful and refilled our waters regularly. I wasn't sure what to expect since casino restaurants can be hit-or-miss in my opinion. I visited on a Tuesday, which happened to be Mexican Independence Day, so the place was absolutely packed. We were seated right away, but our server took a bit longer to get to us, probably because of the larger-than-usual crowd. I was pleasantly surprised by their Taco Tuesday special and had to jump on it. For $32, you got unlimited asada and chicken tacos, plus unlimited margaritas and tequila shots. That's a steal! Anywhere else on the Strip, you're dropping that much on a single drink. The vibe was spot-on--great mix of music from a live DJ, and they even had a live mariachi band (not sure if that's a regular thing or just for Independence Day). The ceviche was solid, and the tacos were tasty for the price. My only gripe is the Michelada--it was seriously underwhelming. They were out of my usual go-to beers, so I settled for an Estrella (yeah, I know). It came in a plain cup, there was no chamoy or tajin on the rim, no ice, and it was just bland. I would love to see them step up their Michelada game. Overall it was great vibes, i absolutely loved the art on the walls by Oscar Flores I believe it was. Located inside Green Valley Ranch, the atmosphere in the restaurant is dim and chill. It's a small venue so get reservations if you can. I went with a group of girls for my friend's birthday. A+ for the salsa because I like it a little peppery and the steak tacos for the major flavor. I also really enjoyed the refreshing mocktail called Pinky's Up (Hibiscus, Passion Fruit, Pineapple Chili Shrub, Soda). The only miss is that the service could have been more friendly. Finally caught a Taco Tuesday here. My friend warned me the last time he went to TT (a few years ago) the tacos were wrapped in foil and a soggy mess and it absolutely was not worth it. Well, he didn't bother telling me that until were were already sitting down and I texted him. But, I'm kind of glad it happened that way. The tacos were NOT wrapped in foil and they were NOT soggy messes. They seemed to be made to order. We're steak folks, however the steak tacos were just OK. The chicken tacos, though, had great flavor. Perhaps more seasoning. We enjoyed them. I would share a pro tip I learned while there, but I don't want to ruin it for us ;) However, we had zero wait for refills on tacos or drinks. We alternated between different tequila drinks or just straight shots, but they are included in the all-you-can-eat price of (currently) $32. I don't remember how many drinks or tacos we had, but we felt it was worth it. Make a reservation to be safe. Every seat was full, including the bar, but they do allow walk-ins. We came to visit friends and were looking for some place we hadn't tried, yummy, and with good vibes. Bonus points for being in a really nice casino off the strip (Green Valley Casino). At first when we got seated, it took a bit of time for our server to get us menus and check in; we had to ask for them. The service was friendly but we had to flag down our server quite a bit. However, the food was so delicious. In all honesty, it tasted much better than we anticipated for a bar-style restaurant. They had a great selection of food and drinks. I had a Cadillac margarita (not pictured) that was verrrry strong. I had to chase that bad boy with some water, and I'm not usually one to complain about a stiff drink. Cinco De Mayo Borracha Mexican Cantina is a super festive spot with a cool Day of the Dead vibe and unique murals all over the walls. I stopped by this afternoon for tacos and margs. The host quoted about a fifteen minute wait before my sis and I were seated and ready to grub. We started with the street corn $8 and it was just okay. I was expecting some heat from the sriracha mayo like dressing but it was pretty mild. The corn had no bite at all. I ordered the grilled chicken tacos $17. The tacos come with rice and black beans. The tacos were juicy and seasoned. The tortillas tasted fresh like they were made in the restaurant. The Spanish rice was super dry and bland. I didn't eat it. The black beans were forgettable but honestly I was too full after the tacos to care much. I also had a mango margarita $17 and it had a nice lil kick. One was definitely enough. read more

Went to Borracha for a Girls Dinner. We got seated right away & had a reservation on a Saturday night. Our server was great. She gave good suggestions. There were 3 of us. Instead of each of us getting a drink, we got a pitcher of margarita. Better value and more drinks for each of us. All of the staff was attentive. Thankful they had a vegan section.
