Bosco's was tremendously helpful after my sister suffered a collision while stopped at a traffic light. The insurance company wanted to settle her claim at 1/2 the replacement value of her van and would "total" the van! It only had a slight dent to the rear right corner and busted tail light! After quite a go around with the insurance carrier we, with help from the staff at Bosco's were able to secure complete repair without a penalizing "salvage" title and the van looks great! I am still a loyal customer except for oil changes. I work at EHS and get them done while I'm at work with our auto shop class. I recently got a new car and stopped in to show it off. They were excited for me because they knew how I hated my old one. I love that family feel they have. They also support the local schools which is so important to me. DONT TAKE YOUR CAR THERE!!! Worst experience ever, my sister in law recommended this place ( I still haven't forgiven her) so I took my car there for an oil leak they never fixed and after having my car for two weeks and paying them almost $3000. I had to take it back because it was still leaking oil. It was there for 3 1/2 weeks. First of all who can be without a car for 3 1/2 weeks They kept giving me one freaking excuse after another. I caught them outright lying to me several times and didn't say anything because they make you feel bad for them and I didn't want to be a dick. But unfortunately I have a temper and a tendency to explode after being pushed to far and sent my sister inlaw a text saying " I f@*}ing hate Bosco's and accidentally sent it to Bosco's ( yeah I can't make this crap up and never said I was the brightest bulb ) but I was like who cares they're not going to fix it anyway and was going to pick it up the next day I got a text and apparently I had upset them ( I know I wouldn't have fixed either and again they were taking their sweet ass time But me and my friends were laughing our asses off and at this point i couldn't care less about this yutz. I went there got my key and left. He and the goon squad were doing their best to make me uncomfortable. Didn't work. On the ride home, I noticed my car was making so much noise and it was coming from the undercarriage. I'm not sure what they loosened and I can't prove it, but it didn't sound like that when I brought it in there. Not even close. Long story short, take your car someplace else Also, if I'm if you're interested, I stopped sinking money into the car and bought a new one which I probably should've done. On March 29, 2010 my husband was involved in an automobile accident in Enfield, CT resulting in front drivers side damage. A tow truck from Bosco's Automotive and Body Shop responded, and brought our car to their shop in Enfield. We notified our insurance company, and on April 2 we signed an authorization for Bosco's to perform the body work and repairs. At that time we were told the repairs would be finished in 10-14 days and they would be in touch with us. 12 days go by, and we did not hear anything from Bosco's. We call them, and they tell us another car is on their "frame machine" and it may be another day or two before our car is on it, thus delaying repairs. (so our car sat in their parking lot for 12 days, thanks) Four days go by, and we call Bosco's again to check on our car's status. We were told at that time our car just went on the machine that day, and it should be a couple more days before our car is fixed. On day 17, we call Bosco's again, and at this time we are told more work is needed to the suspension system, and Bosco's was waiting for authorization from our insurance company before they proceed. We were told to check back in 3-4 days. On day 21 we call again, and were told they were working on our call and it would be a couple more days. On day 24 we call again, and were told the same thing. Finally, on day 28 Bosco's tells us they are finishing our car--that they need to do a test drive and it should be ready the next day, but to call them to double check. Our car ended up being ready on day 30. Not only did Bosco's underestimate the repair time, but all communication was initiated by my husband and I and not Bosco's. After all that stress, when we finally got the car back it makes a horrible screeching sound when you turn the wheel to the left. When my brother in law investigated it turns out the sound was due to the new plastic shroud--they took one that did not match my car (a 2007 Honda civic coupe) and cut it to fit...but obviously it didn't fit. Plus they put it on backwards, drrrr. Guess they didn't hear it on their test drive...if that even happened. There was also a paint chip and damage to the hood on the opposite side of the car, which was previously undamaged. My accident was a simple fender bender--I cringe to think what happens if you have a more serious situation. If you have an extra car and a month+ to waste, by all means--go with this body shop. If you want quality service in a timely fashion however...perhaps learn from our mistake. read more

I have been trusting the Bosco family with my automobile maintenance and repair for over 20yrs and today they proved once again why. My truck had recalls, so Bosco's stated that it would be best to have the dealer take care of it as they cannot. As such, I scheduled an appointment with Gengras Dodge in East Hartford, Connecticut. I asked if they could inspect my truck while they had it on the lift, because my 2011 Dodge RAM 1500 had over 130k miles on it. I received a call from Kyle - Gengras Service Specialist - with a quote of over $5k plus to repair my truck. Astonished, I asked Kyle what they had found. He went over a litany of issues discovered during the inspection, although a few very important issues stood out to name a few, e.g., 1) front brakes and disks are shot, 2) gas tank needs to be replaced, 3) transmission is leaking, 4) four-wheel drive transfer case was out of oil, and much more. As it turns out, 1) from brakes were fine, 2) gas tank did not need replacement, 3) transmission was not leaking, 4) I do not have four-wheel drive! It is clear to me that Gengras is one of the most unprofessional money grubbing companies that I EVER dealt with, and Bosco's charging me only $1k to fix actual issues are professional, efficient, and cost effective. Brought my car and truck there a few times for service. Never had an issue with them. Beyond their service they gave me great advice on how to prevent further trouble with my truck. Previously I had the truck serviced at national chain auto shop and probably did not get the service I was supposed to which severely damaged the truck. I work right next to the national chain place and oddly, sometimes they are standing out front with signs saying "No Waiting". Not sure I want to go back to a place with "No customers." A few years back I had to have my car towed at the insistence of the Enfield police. I was not even allowed to let it sit by the curb for an hour or so while I sought help. At that time, Bosco's was the towing company used by AAA.. While it took practically no time for the wrecker to come and get the car, the nightmare began after my car arrived to the garage. First they lost a part to the distributor that I told them that I need because you can not get that certain part from Honda, you have to buy the whole distributor to get the spring that they ended up losing. Second they cut away some weather stripping that sealed the hood from the elements. All they had to do was tape it down to keep it out of the way.. And without asking me by the way ! Third and most important, after I paid the repair bill, I went to go get my car and Bosco's brilliant garage minion parks a truck in front of my car so it stayed there all weekend and of course I needed it to get to work on Monday morning.. Way to go Bosco's !! NOT !!!! Hence my lousy review of their services. How is a crappy company like this still in business?? I would never bring my car back to Bosco's. I had my clutch replaced here, 2 months later my clutch and my transmission blew. Of course there was no warranty on the clutch I had just replaced, so I had to pay for a brand new clutch again. The staff here have been nothing but rude. I was also going through financial difficulties trying to pay for my car, I had told the staff of the issue I was having and that I would attempt to make payments. 2 weeks later they had sent paperwork for my car to be sold to the state due to no communication and the car being there for a month. They will not work with you on anything, are not friendly, and will rip you off. read more
