The pizza was so good and the bartenders was amazing. Would absolutely go back. The Cesar salad dressing was on point too!

Ashleigh not only had the low down on the best foods to order, but she kept up with our table of 5 like we were beloved family. Everything was sooooo good tonight. From the delicious appetizers, to the incredible salad (seriously, you have got to try this Creamy Italian), all the way to this badass softshell crab dish and the most chocolatey-chocolate cake I've had in recent memory. I lost most of notes for this meal, sadly, because it was super delicious and perfect. We did the 5 course meal menu item and I cannot wait to go back and do it again. Highly recommend an evening at Impastato's. And hey, ask for Ashleigh, get her opinions and smiles, and bask in the warmth of how well she'll care for you and your peeps.

Our waitress was friendly, but the service felt a little awkward at times. As for the food, what we ordered didn't really stand out. My husband had the chicken parmesan and I ordered the veal topped with seafood. Both dishes were pretty greasy and just not something we would come back for. The best thing we tried was actually the calamari it was tasty and definitely the highlight of our meal. Not a terrible experience, just not great. For the price and the options in the area, we'd probably choose somewhere else next time.

My wife and I are doing a pizza survey this summer just for fun. We decided to try a new pizza…read moreplace every couple of weeks to see which ones were worth all the fuss. Il Supremo stands as tall as the rest and maybe the best although we have not finished our survey. This location has a lot of fond memories for me. When I first moved to Old Metairie in the 1980s, I often dined at Delerno's which served amazing food at this location for over 40 years. It was an old style neighborhood Creole Italian and Seafood restaurant, examples of which can still be found throughout the metro area although the numbers are declining. The owner reportedly was one of the first New Orleans restaurant owners to include crawfish on his menu including a Festival of Crawfish featuring what we would essentially call a crawfish platter, crawfish prepared different ways. You have to love a guy like that. I was so sad when it closed. Anyway, back to the pizza. Il Supremo makes pizza as delicious as any pizza I've had in New York or San Francisco. The crust is thin and crunchy with what appears to be a cornmeal dusting. The crust is baked to perfection, brown and crispy with a few, but not too many, burned areas- just the way I like it. The cheese is excellent as is the sauce which has a bit of a kick but not too much to be overpowering. And the amount of sauce is perfect, not too much for those who like it stingy, and enough for the red gravy lovers of the New Orleans. We ordered the Wooster which was pepperoni, roasted garlic, shallots, and basil. It was outstanding. The garlic and shallots were a perfect complement to the sauce, cheese, and pepperoni. The basil frankly looked great but was not very evident, if at all, in the overall flavor profile. Perhaps it would be were it added after baking. The space itself is decent with only a few tables but crowded and noisy even at 5:30 on a Friday afternoon. It shares space with Super Witch ice cream, so if you want dessert, you don't have to go far. I will definitely be back for more pizza from Il Supremo. NB The website is a little heavy handed and full of rules and caveats including that pickup orders have to be ordered 24 hours in advance. I ordered the morning of my pickup and had no problem. I have no idea why you would have to order 24 hours in advance. Regardless, that is the rule. I guess you could call and ask if you're too late to order but, of course, they have no phone. Such is life in the new millenium. If you called Delerno's, Mrs. Delerno would answer.

The staff could hand…read moreout pizzas quickly, but anything extra threw off their workflow, resulting in near missed items for multiple parties. They completely forgot our pasta, leaving us waiting 30 minutes while our pizza sat in the heating drawer--and they never called us up when it was ready. Being from Chicago, we've been pleasantly surprised by the decent pizza and pasta scene around Metairie and New Orleans, but will most likely not come back. Edit for date we visited was Sunday 7/5 around 6-6:30 pm

I've really gone back and forth about whether or not I should write this review. It appears Joe's…read morehas been an area establishment for quite some time and has a neighborhood following. But the true Yelper in me says I need to write it. I've been passing this place for some time and finally decided to go. It's a large place, simple decor and what appears to be a full bar. Our Server was nice, but had no idea about the items on the menu. I ordered the Chicken Marsala and she got confused about which dish it was and had no idea what came with the chicken. I finally asked if it was pasta and she said yes, so I didn't ask to change that side as I normally would have. My husband ordered a pizza. (Had I known then, what I know now I would have done the same) We were brought out the house made rolls and they looked amazing! They were warm and quite good. Later our food came out and the disappointment began. Let me start by saying the portions were large. I was quite surprised. But sadly the rest of my Marsala was not good. It was a stronger Marsala than usual I think and it literally tasted of black pepper. When I looked at it, I could literally see the large black pepper flakes throughout. The pasta was spaghetti in the brown Marsala sauce. But the chicken was the step too far for me. It has zero flavor, only made worst by the texture. I struggle to describe it, because I don't want to sound mean by using the word that comes to mind but I don't know how else to describe it. I guess the only other way to describe it is slick. The outside of the chicken literally has a slick feel to it. Like a greasy slippery feel /texture. It was like a raw oyster feel. I literally couldn't eat it and it made me feel ill to think about it. My husband said the pizza was "okay. No better than take out pizza." After I tried the chicken, We immediately paid and left. We ended up going to Canes and calling it a night. I gave them 2 Stars because of the Rolls and the "Okay" pizza.

I ordered the 12" pepperoni & ham pizza. While waiting, had a chance to talk to the owner. Very down to earth and family oriented gentleman. I used the bathroom and it was maintained and clean. The place is large enough to accommodate very large parties. The prices are decent and do not offer military discount. The pizza had a very tasteful taste sauce and small pepperonis. It was very delicious and tasty. The only recommendation that I have is there was a lot of empty space between the crust's edge and where they spread the sauce and pepperoni. I suggest to expand the tomatoes sauce to about half an inch to the crust so that every bite, will have their delicious sauce! Other than that, looking forward to my next visit to see my dad so that I can come here again and have their pizzas!

Love the texture of the crust, the sauce made from San Marzano tomatoes & of course their awesome brick oven. Fun Fact: The restaurant name, "El Fornino" means "little oven" in Italian. Another standout was our server, Jess. Talk about personality! She is so friendly and made us feel so welcome. She told us about their special "birria pizza" which isn't listed on the menu but sounds amazing. We will definitely be back to try that. Oh and I almost forgot... we split the homemade tiramisu for dessert. So yummy! Have any of you all been to El Fornino? This was our first time but definitely won't be our last. PS.
