The merchandising was wonderful and the prices were somewhat in a reasonable range. A few impressive people working in the store were helpful and friendly. Everything in the store was clean and well organized. The only disappointment was that all the escalators seemed to be out of service. I had tried to put my belongings in it and my grandson put a cough drop in it which I didn't see. They took out the lining and asked one another if it looked used and should they put it back on sale. I love their selection of Clara Sunwoo which are mostly if not all made in USA. They have a nice selection of accessories including hats and jewelry. The best thing is that the shop offers a nice selection and their pricing is very reasonable. I can shop local, get unique stuff at a good price. The chandeliers and mirrors add a great feel to the shop sort of home like and comfortable. Galinas has a second shop at Mohegan Sun so if you find something you like but they don't have your size, they can check the other shop. Try it out. A nice addition to downtown.

First time was early/mid October to get some costume ideas and to check on the inventory. It was packed with lots of costumes for adults and children plus props, decor, makeup, hats etc. My second visit was on 10/30 and the inventory was greatly reduced. I asked about the return policy and learned that store credit was the only refund and since this is a pop up, they would be gone right after Halloween. Place has a Nice set up with automated decoration. A subway car with monsters and flashing lights. Cool stuff and well organized. Not much in the way of staff but the cashiers were really fast. I found some makeup and my costume for the costume party I was planning to attend. Everything was under $100 for what I needed.

Today I brought in a blazer to consign that I had bought last week at their Cheshire store. I decided I didn't want to keep it because when I got home I realized it looked a little big on me. I was told they didn't accept that brand name. HELLO, I JUST BOUGHT IT FROM YOU LAST WEEK! And...I saw several items with that brand name, while I was shopping in your store today! Then she told me Cheshire shouldn't have taken it in. Another complaint is that they want you to bring your items in unwrinkled, so I always bring my items in freshly laundered & pressed. However, after they go through my stuff they give me back the unwanted items in a wrinkled heap! (often times in one their dirty laundry baskets) Maybe I should have them sign my contract that I want my clothes returned unwrinkled! Gone are the days when I would come in here & leave with bags of stuff because the prices & selection were so good. I also make very little per item, when I consign, which I'm suspicious of. And if I try to retrieve my unsold items, they are nowhere to be found. They have a sentence in their contract that says they can move items to their other stores. How convenient that we can't track our own stuff & we have no idea if we're getting paid fairly or if the items ever sold! I would not recommend shopping here! You are NOT a boutique Consignment Originals! You're not on Rodeo Drive. You are not Saks 5th Ave or Nordstroms. It's too bad, you used to be great. Buh Bye
