I've known about this store for a little while and had been meaning to go inside. I was impressed with the variety of merchandise they had available. The store was jam packed and well organized. You can find your basic baby essentials here. They have clothes for babies and mothers, nursing bras, breast pumps, baby carriers, nursing pillows, baby eating utensils, baby skin care products, toys and so much more! I found the prices comparable to other baby stores in the city. A couple weeks ago, I had my baby via C section. When I was discharged home, I wished I had gotten more disposable mesh underwear from the hospital. I can't wear my regular underwear due to my tender abdomen and the location of my surgical scar. In this store, I found a box of Frida high waist disposable post C section underwear. A box of 8 was a little over $30. The lady at the store said this underwear was a better quality than the ones given in the hospital. The underwear is made of good quality material, fits me perfectly and is so comfortable that it doesn't bother my incision at all. I'm a happy customer! I will be back to visit this store and I recommend other people to check it out. It's a great place to find some basics and maybe even some gifts for new parents. Bosom Babies is a cute store that sells adorable things for teeny-tiny babies. Everything in the store looks carefully selected, from baby blankets, clothes and shoes to toys, towels and bedding. The store is extremely small but houses many products which are a pleasure to browse though. The clothes and little shoes and socks are just adorable. The majority of bedding is bright and cheerful, and many sets are made of organic cotton. If you really want to spoil a baby, there are silk blankets for sale. Toys and accessories such as tiny toothbrushes, sippy cups and baby car seat covers are equally sweet. I am sure that any woman who shops here gets that warm and fuzzy feeling inside. read more

Sure the store is a little cramped. And yes, the prices are higher than at say, Babies 'R' Us. But the quality of the merchandise and the level of customer service are the reasons behind the higher prices. I have mainly purchased items for diapering and some all-natural sunscreen and insect repellent. I have also purchased a specialty bottle when my son refused every other bottle we tired. And I bought an Ergo baby carrier there. In every trip to Bosom Babies, I have received excellent customer service, including over an hour spent with me and my partner as we tried on various baby carriers, finally settling on the perfect one for us. (Tip: If you "wear" your baby into the store, they give you a discount.) I have also discovered that they carry Haba toys, which are exceptionally well-made wooden toys from Germany. I don't know of another store in Edmonton to carry this brand. I ahve previously had to have all Haba toys shipped to me. While I would not purchase clothes there (as cute as the clothes are, I kind of have a moral objection to spending $40 on a shirt for a baby, when it will be spit up on repeatedly and then outgrown in two months), I will go back repeatedly for items of more permanence. That said, I confess, I am really tempted to go back and buy the baby fedora for my son. As impractical as it is, he did look so freaking cute in it. read more

Overall: this is the baby store I prefer to shop at. It's locally owned, the staff are helpful and proud of their store no matter what you're looking for - they all have a certain degree of expertise in helping you solve an issue, even if the solution is not one that can be purchased in the store (ex. swim socks - was referred to another store, breast milk supply issue - was referred to LLL). Merchandise: many hard to find boutique items, of the highest quality...the prices are on par with other boutiques. They do have specials quite often & even offer a discount for baby wearing. Such an awesome store I truly love it. It is very pricey but what you're getting is completely worth it. If you are a natural momma like me this is a great place. The employees know the store inside and out! Everything from nursing bras in larger sizes too baby wearing coats this place has got your back. Every once in a while they will have discounts so I highly suggest liking their Facebook page, I hear there is a discount for baby wearing as well. ;) I don't like the prices plain and simple, but the stuff they carry is one of a kind and is of quality, most of which I can't get anywhere else. I've bought everything from cloth diapers to socks and it's all stood the test of time and wear. This place has become a mommy treat for me, almost the planet organic of baby stuff if you will. They are so accommodating and have a rocking chair, nursing pillow, and change table they also accommodate EC which is awesome. This is a dangerous store for me. This tiny little baby mecca has everything you could need or want to get you through babyhood a little smoother. There is a maternity section, cloth diaper section, baby wearing section, clothing section, toys and more. The staff are experts and will help show you how to properly tie on your wrap carrier or just make sure you are getting the fit you want. They have a nice supply of cloth diapers and a ton of liners which sure helps. Great customer service and the prices are not terrible. Parking is a bit of a pain. I usually leave little one with someone going here because the parking and store is cramped. Any product I have purchased her has become a fast favorite of the family. So if you are looking for unique, high quality baby items, this is the place! read more

Although small and cramped, Bosom Babies is packed to the brim with high end baby goodness! This is an awesome place to buy a baby gift that's unique and stylish, one of those places that I would feel bad spending $40 on a onesie my baby will outgrow in a month but stuff you can't resist spoiling your nieces, nephews and friends' babies with! Customer service is friendly without bring too nosy, and they can miraculously find anything you're looking for despite the store being packed. It's pricey, but keep an eye on their Facebook page for creative themed sales - 20% off anything green for St paddy's day, wooden toys for earth day, etc! Downsides are the lack of parking and the size of the store. It's tiny, so packed to the brim with not a lot of room to move around and get around others. It gets especially hard if you're here on a weekend with tons of other parents and kids, but worth it for the adorable product they sell. read more

Really great store with really great high quality products! From cute to practical--they have a decent selection for both kids/babies and moms, especially considering the little space they're located in. The store clerk (owner?!) was very helpful, knowledgeable and kind. She helped me find the nursing bra I was looking for and made sure it fit well. I have been very impressed with the quality of it (it was a Bravado one)! Maybe a tad pricier than a huge retailer but that's understandable seeing as they're a small local business! They do offer sales from time to time on their instagram page, however! Definitely a place everyone with kids, parents to be, or anyone looking for a gift for a parent to be/new parent should check out!!! I went to bosom babies to check out their selection of cloth diapers and I was not disappointed. The staff was very knowledgable and they had many brands and types to choose from. Fuzzibunz, Flips, Bum Genius and Bummies to name a few. They even have bamboo diapers! There is also a wide selection of cute diaper bags, Grobags, clothes, hats, socks, babylegs, and toys. This is a small store filled to the brim with posh baby gear. If you or someone you know is expecting, it's worth a trip. read more

Not much to add that hasn't already been said about this little baby boutique. Excellent customer service - very knowledgeable staff, including the younger ones; somewhat crowded store but lots of really unique items to look at. They have a good selection of the Bravado nursing bras and camis. I had gone in to look at the Kokoala zip-in panels to convert my regular jacket to a babywearing one, but unfortunately the company doesn't make a zipper to match my coat. The staff introduced me to a few 3-in-1 coats, where you could wear the coat while pregnant, for babywearing, or as a normal coat. There was the beautiful high end M Coat, which I didn't seriously consider as it is about $500 but is a Canadian-made down coat, perfect for the super cold winter. There was also the Liliputi brand which has whimsical patterns (not my style), and then two Modern Eternity styles (a Montreal-based company), one a puffer coat (synthetic down) and the other a parka style. The staff gave me a baby doll and sling and then helped me in and out of the coats, and showed me how to adjust the panels correctly. I could not decide and there was no pressure to buy, which I appreciated. I would definitely come back again. read more

I've had mixed experiences with this store, but unfortunately they have run more towards the negative. I love shopping locally, and we had already purchased cloth diapers, a baby carrier, and several other items, all of which we are quite satisfied with. However, I went into the store the other day looking for some diapers I'd seen in their online store, but the salesperson could not correctly identify the diaper I wanted, and instead led me towards another diaper that was almost twice the price and totally not what I was looking for. After another trip, we learned that they advertise the diaper I wanted online in singles for a certain price, will not sell them in multiples less than 6 in the store. This doesn't make any sense to me, despite that I do understand the logistics of online retailing differ from that of having a brick and mortar store. Anyway we won't be going back, which is fine, because there are many small local baby businesses cropping up in this city lately. read more

Shopped there today and it was such a nice experience I wanted to post a positive review. While I was busy trying on nursing clothes the staff offered to hold my little one who was in her infant car seat. They entertained bub while I was busy and I really appreciated that they offered to do this. This is a great little store. The employees are knowledgeable and helpful (especially the store owner) and they sell high quality products. It is locally owned and has a ton of character. The prices are a bit higher than a big box store, but I am willing to pay a bit more for better customer service, a locally owned store, and higher quality items. I recommend this store. read more
