He replaced the radiator and water pump, repositioned the external transmission cooler, and replaced the tail housing gasket on the transmission. My truck has never run cooler transmission temps than it does now. Francis is very knowledgeable and actually understands how these older trucks heat up when you're towing or sitting in traffic. He ordered the part directly from Acura and quoted me a fair price. My car was ready the following day, but when I arrived to pick it up, Francis informed me that my vehicle had been involved in an accident while in his care. He explained that another driver had been speeding through the parking lot and crashed into him. He gave me the other driver's information, and I contacted him immediately. The other driver gave a very different version of events. He stated that he was backing out of a parking space and did not see Francis. He also told me that Francis provided his driver's license information but refused to share insurance information. Now, more than a month later, I still have a damaged vehicle and have not received insurance information from Francis despite multiple phone calls, text messages, and outreach from Mercury Insurance. I trusted this shop to take care of my car, not return it to me in worse condition and leave me responsible for a $500 deductible. What has been most disappointing is the lack of accountability and urgency. Francis acted as though this situation was not a major concern and repeatedly assured me that the other driver would "take care of it," which has not happened. According to the other driver, Francis even asked him to change the story about what happened. I chose this business because of its strong reviews and the image Francis presents, but my experience has been extremely stressful and disappointing. I called to see if an adjustment was needed on the work that had been done, but as I work every day, and Signal Hill is not open on Saturday, I was directed to the Fullerton shop. I went in preparing to spend at least 2 hours waiting for my car. I was also prepared to get news telling me I had a new problem. First, I was only there about 1/2 an hour, and second, a slight adjustment was needed and I didn't have to pay a thing. By the way, I have a 2016 Mazda 3, and that doesn't make any difference. When I got my car back they let me know exactly what I needed to do and how to drive the car properly since it was just fixed. The customer service was great not only was the check engine light on before I took it there but the tire pressure light was on too and so when I got my car back the guys there took care of that too free of charge if that's not good service idk what is.
