My car was having transmission issues, I was having a hard time figuring out and understanding the codes I have gotten but when I gave my car to AAMCO had the people there run the diagnostics, it pin points the exact problem and the guys there explained very well what the problem is and how the whole transmission work since I have a CVT transmission very different from regular transmissions. When I got my car back they let me know exactly what I needed to do and how to drive the car properly since it was just fixed. The customer service was great not only was the check engine light on before I took it there but the tire pressure light was on too and so when I got my car back the guys there took care of that too free of charge if that's not good service idk what is. Should have listened to the reviews. This place is money hungry and the so called "mechanics" take weeks figuring out how to do their job. Took a truck and after a week they called back to go pick it up and right after driving it out of the lot it had the exact same problem it had before taking it there. They did however add more "work" to the final bill of 3,000 for a clutch kit with 1700 for labor. Now the truck is the same condition as it was. Lost days of work and lost 3k. Beware!!!!! Stay away. Paid $6,000 to rebuild my transmission. It started slipping in every gear in less then 9,000 miles and they say chunks of metal are in the transmission pan. Eric said he would have Adrian call me to figure something out and he told me I need to pay $99.99 just for an estimate and it would most likely need to be rebuilt again and costs have gone up since i got it rebuilt. Adrian very unprofessional and hung up on me while I was trying to figure out how much it would cost to fix and texted me "Michael, Per our conversation. You have declined to have us work on your vehicle. You have until end of day tomorrow (Thursday) to pick up the vehicle or tow it out. I took my van here for hard shifting, the changed the fluid and replaced the filter. A week later I was on the freeway and same issue happened, took van back on Monday and got no call on Tuesday so I called them. Told me they test drove and saw same issue, did nothing else that day. Called back Wed the day before Thanksgiving and they said they didn't look at it because they were shorthanded. They were closed Thursday thru Sunday. Called Monday and was told needed the transmission rebuilt and they wanted $6500. Started calling around for better pricing and found another place for $3300. Told aamco to put van back together was not going to use their service for repair. Was told that upper management had to call me and approve them putting my van back together. They tried to pressure me into keeping my van there and I told them no, they then said they had 5 days to put my van back together. They knew when I dropped it off that it was my daily vehicle and my handicap scooter was in the van. My sister and I went back to the shop on Tuesday and she was video taping them and talked to them and the manager said they were keeping the van till Friday. They did get it back together by Wednesday, but it was only because they needed the lift to work on other vehicles. I kept getting two different stories from the manager and Eric at front desk which made me no longer trust this company to do any work on my vehicle. They went as far as to insult the other repair shop by saying they would do patch repair. AVOID THIS PLACE UNLESS YOU WANT TO GET RIPPED OFF. November 2019 There are several issues of why i gave this place 1 star. First issue: the shop person told us that they close earlier than the actual business hours are listed so they are unable to work on the car the same day we brought it in. Second issue: what we were told over the phone did not follow what we are being told in person based on the time frame of the work. Third issue: when we changed our mind because what we were told on the phone/in person was not adding up + the time frame it would take the person was rude and kept assisting that we just let them take the car. I'm sorry but if you don't have the parts for the car and you know it's coming in but you quoted a time frame but now we would get additional fees for leaving the car + uncertainty of when the work will be done = bad business. read more

I have come to this location on 2 separate occasions for 2 different vehicles. Each time I was quoted 2-3 times more than other legitimate shops for transmission repairs. Even after I explain to them exactly what it is. They accuse other shops of doing patch jobs (shady work). I do not recommend this business. There are other legitimate shops that are honest and give a fair price. Example- I was quoted by AAMCO for a transfer case rebuild (only needed the $100 chain replaced) for $1800. Legitimate shop with warranty was $600. read more

We had a great experience with our 2007Honda Fit. We knew it had problems, transmission and or clutch. We had to decide if it was worth it to even fix it. Turns out the engine was misfiring. I was really offended by the treatment here at Aamco in Fullerton on Euclid. I am a disabled person with a walker and I was told I couldn't use the waiting room to sit and wait for my car. It took them over 4 hours to run the test and had me sitting outside in the hot sun on a tree stump in the dirt. Needless to say I took my business elsewhere. We called during the week to set an appointment for a Saturday and dropped the car off during the appointment time. 2 and a half hours later, they call us and tell us they'll have to hold the car until Monday and the chick working the desk suggested we get a "loaner" car (though she meant rental). Rick, so far has been a real gentleman, he told me straight up what it would cost to fix my 58 ford f100 panel. It's a custom truck so it's not easy to work on, 429 motor with a C6 transmission. In short, I should of read the reviews. So I am on my third visit after getting my transmission rebuild (when I originally came in for a slow leak, reseal). It is 8:47 waiting the manager since 8:00. I have been complaining about how ruff the transmission feels and how whiny the torque convert is. Now they are blaming the transmission mount and they are going swap converters. I dont understand why they even think the car was ok to return like this. I am hoping that the owners read this and contacts me for better details. At this point friendly customer service does not cut it. I need my car fixed as I already paid for repairs. Your car is suppose to run better after service not before! 8/28/18 3:13 PM. My review will change pending the final outcome. 8/31/18: I got my mustang back yesterday as promised, however this morning I found and 8-inch in diameter oil spot of transmission fluid. This is totaling 3 visits and 3 weeks. This is completely unacceptable. Dont be the next me, the stress headache is not worth it. 9/1/18 The mechanic advised that the leak was from the gasket. They are finishing the car soon. All this for a slow oil leak that was just supposed to be resealed, but I just had to listen to their recommendation to rebuild the transmission. They originally had told me that my transmission had a hole and it needed the transmission to be replaced was gonna cost me $8000 more than what I owe on my car. I started to look around for a second opinion and found AAMCO in Fullerton first impression from Rose she was very helpful and willing to help. They took the time to check my car and give me clear answer on what was going on. My repairs went from $8000 to $463 after they provided a discount and Adrian was very helpful as well and explained what they did to my car if you guys want honest people and reliable head to AAMCO in Fullerton they for sure earned a loyal costumer with me. I had such a positive experience with AAMCO Fullerton. I brought my car in because the shifter would not go past the neutral position. I thought it was a transmission problem because my car was leaking fluid. I was greeted by Rose who is so friendly and understanding. I was told it was not a transmission issue, but an electrical shifter issue and that my gearshift would need to be replaced. The leak was from my oil cap being loose. I had the shifter replaced and new oil put in my car. Rose was very transparent with me regarding work and the cost. The mechanics and technicians went above and beyond. I visited this location today for an oil change. I was helped by Rick Sandoval. There was nobody in this shop and yet it still took them over 2 hours to do an oil change. He was very rude and unprofessional to me. So after an hour already of waiting, when I asked him how much longer it was going to be he ignored me. When I asked him again he said it would be done when it's done. Then when I asked for the managers number he ignored me for another 15 minutes. Then when he went to give me the paperwork he tried to give me a customer service number and not the manager number that I had asked for. I would HIGHLY NOT recommend this service/ "auto shop" that can't even do an oil change because they had to order the oil in order to complete the service. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. read more
