The Snorkel Store also has live beach cams, and each morning at 0800h will email with snorkel conditions. Pretty sweet! Have been to all the other joints, Bob's, Auntie's, but the Snorkel Store is a cut above. Highly recommended!

He also provided a map and let us know about their daily newsletter which gives you the latest weather conditions for popular spots each morning, including live cams. They have high quality gear and offer great deals on snorkel gear as well as beach toys. The only issue I ran into was that my new fins caused a painful blister. Even after I came back to buy the thin socks the next day, it still hurt probably because it was too late after already getting a blister. I wish they had boot rentals to go with the fins. Another bonus was that you could go there to refill your water jugs with their high quality water filtration system for free, which saves money from having to buy water from the store and good for the earth. I would definitely return, but next time bring my own thick dive boots to snorkel with.

As a (very, very) infrequent snorkeler, I was thinking of buying my own gear off Amazon and figuring out how to make space in my already limited luggage space to fit what I'd need. However, I came across this small snorkel gear chain reading through some online reviews. What really stuck out to me was paying only $5 for an interisland pick up and 24 hr drop off service that wouldn't require bringing rented gear across the islands. In the name of convenience and wanting to see the novelty for myself, I made an online one week gear reservation for prescription snorkels. That costed a little bit more, but absolutely worth the upgrade to be able to see another world under the waves. Pickup at the store was a breeze! The staff was super friendly and courteous, and went out of their way to make sure my prescription was exactly what I needed to see clearly. Included in the rental was an anti-fog solution and a handy fish guide, which were both super helpful and appreciated! The gear was top notch, definitely of great quality and most likely better than whatever $40 gear I'd get off Amazon. More importantly, the 24 hr drop off service worked amazing! I dropped off my 1st rental after hours in the convenient drop off box, and at my next stay in Oahu picked up a fresh set of gear using my previous rental receipt! Drop off was just as easy as well, and the staff at this store was just as friendly and helpful too. Honestly, if you need snorkel gear or want the convenience of not having to schlep gear across islands, Snorkel Bob's is THE only way to go! Not only would you be supporting an amazing local business, but you'll be thankful you have only the best gear in hand to make your snorkeling adventures really unforgettable.
