First time at Boston Burger and everything was going well until I saw the server/bartender Nick making someone else's S'more's Frappe and not wearing gloves while he touches marshmallows and graham crackers that go on and around the frappe. Then I witnessed him brûlée the marshmallows when one caught on fire as they do. To my surprise he blew it out with his mouth and continued to serve it to the guest... Went to Boston Burger Co on a busy Saturday night. We were surprisingly able to get a table within five minutes from when we walked in. Every table was full and the place had a very fun upbeat energy. Our table ordered the strawberry shortcake frappe to share. This was a strawberry milkshake with a giant piece of strawberry shortcake on top. It was incredible. Definitely a treat. I ordered the all-American burger. Also was amazing. Stopped by Boston burger with some friends on our last day in town and it was really good. The space isn't super large, but they were able to get a group of 4 seated immediately on a Sunday afternoon. The service was solid with our server making sure we got everything we ordered. For food, I had the 420 burger which was MASSIVE, I normally hate burgers with too much because everything falls out, but the bun they use is perfect and holds all the fixings together nicely. We also split the nacho fries and mango habanero boneless wings. I'd probably skip the fries next time around since they weren't amazing, but the wings (which were more so strips) were super tasty and tender. We also split a strawberry shortcake shake for the table and it was insane. Huge cake to top off a tasty shake. Definitely would not recommend trying to attack one alone. read more

Dine in if you can because it's best to eat everything right out of the kitchen-- you still want the the crisp of the fried stuff (fries, onion rings, mozz sticks) as well as the melty cheese. If you want a super stuffed, meaty burger this is the place to go. We got the mac attack, 420, and the whiskey tango foxtrot which were their top 3 most popular ones per the waiter. We also got a side of mumbo fries out of curiosity. The mumbo sauce was ok, you would probably be more of a fan than I was if you enjoy sweet and tangy sauces. It did pair well with the creaminess of the ranch though and the fries were crispy, delicious, and had great texture. The burgers were absolutely enormous and SO stuffed. If your burger has mozz sticks in it, eat it ASAP! Otherwise they get hard and its not as good anymore. All the burgers had so many flavors it was like fireworks on my taste buds. The crispiness from the onion rings, and mozz sticks, gooeyness from the mac n cheese, and the PATTY. The patty was THICC. You have a choice of how you want it cooked, I recommend medium rare. Highly do not recommend for anyone with an allergy. Called ahead to ask if they can accommodate celiac, but said no. So, I brought my own food to eat while my friends get food and was told I am not allowed to eat. I explained as part of the ADA they are required to accommodate anyone with a disability, including allowing celiacs to bring their own food if necessary. I ordered through ubereats and they completely forgot the pesto mayo, and if they ran out I wish they would have let me know at least so I could pick a different mayo? But instead I just get a condimentless burger and because of that, it's dry. I don't know why every time I get a burger here, something is wrong whether it be a missing condiment, miscoooked burger, or poorly done sides (this time the chips were soggy and pale, unlike the usually crispy golden brown). Chips and guac - 5/10, nothing special but what was a bummer is they give you the exact same chips for the guac appetizer as you get with the sandwiches 3. Traditional cheeseburger - 5/10, nothing special. Just a decent burger 4. Chicken pesto sandwich - 5/10, again nothing special. The pesto aioli was very yummy though. 5. Burger and milkshake HEAVEN, babyyy!!! Did not know that Boston was really doin' it like this, but Boston Burger came through winnin'! Everything was mouthwatering and I've been dreaming about the meal that I had here ever since I left. If you know me, you know I love a good burger. Had this place bookmarked for a hot minute and knew that I had to hit them up while I was in town. Dropped by on a Monday afternoon and the place was booming. There was a wait for a table so I decided to sit at the bar. The interior of the restaurant is super cozy and bright. The bartenders were all really busy and seemed to be running around to keep up with everyone's orders. I was given a menu and water a few minutes after I sat down. It's all about the burgers and shakes here. If you're into huge gourmet style burgers and giants shakes, then this spot is the perfect place for you. I've never really been heavy into gourmet burgers as it's usually too much and too fancy for me. A basic and/or American style burger is pretty much my jam. Ordered the All American Burger and the King Frappe, and I swear my belly stretched about 3 inches after trying to consume all of this food. But dayum was it delicious!!! That BURGER! Hawt dizaaamn!!! Talk about stacked, juicy, and delicious! That is one HUGE chuck of beef patty right there. Surprisingly, it wasn't too dry or too raw. It was cooked perfectly (I'm a medium cooked burger lover), and it was so damn juicy. It came topped with large crispy strips of bacon, melted American cheese, veggies, and creamy blue cheese sauce (I omitted the bbq sauce as I thought that it would be too much). I think a brioche bun would have been perfect on this (not sure what kind of bun that they used?!), but it was still tasty with the bun that it came with. All I kept thinking was "How could someone stretch their mouth wide enough to take a bite out of that thang?!". And this is one of the most BASIC burgers on their menu... which honestly even ain't very basic at all. But, ya girl did it! Sank my teeth into that goodness and it was OVER! Well... not really. I think I got through about 1/3 of that thing and had to call it quits for the night. So stinkin' HUGE! It comes with housemade chips on the side which I was initially going to sub for fries, but thank goodness that I didn't because it's not needed. As if the burger wasn't enough! Don't even get me started on their milkshakes! HEAV-EN-LYYY! Real talk, this was the best milkshake that I've ever had in my dayum life. And let me clarify something; it's formally known as a "Freak Frappe"... but it's basically a massive ass delicous milkshake. Yuuup! I got the King Frappe which comes with vanilla ice cream, banana, bacon, and peanut butter. Y'all... the pictures and videos do NOT do this thang any justice! It is literally a masterpiece! Being at the bar allowed me to watch the bartenders concoct these things and it is simply amazing. One milkshake is probably more calories than the burger and chips alone. BUT... you cannot... CANNOT come here without trying one! And if you ain't sharing, you probably won't finish it all unless that's the only thing that you're eating there for the night. Lucky for you, you can package that baby to go for later. This is precisely what I did and it was like the gift that kept on giving. Indulging in that goodness the next day was just as yummy as it tasted the first time around. But yeeeeaahh... if you're dieting or calorie counting, this place isn't gonna work for you. Be ready to fully indulge in gluttonous heaven while you're here. Trust me, it is worth EVERY damn calorie that you will consume. I found out later on that this is one of Guy Fieri's restaurants and it makes total sense now with the super-sized burgers and shakes. You know that man love his food extra large! Boston Burger has incredibly unique burgers and shakes, and offers all its burgers as veggie burgers so you can still try them if you're vegetarian which is great. We came here for my daughter's third birthday dinner tonight. Not a place you'd expect parents to choose, necessarily, but we love taking her into the city and all four of us (one year old included) love to bounce our shoulders to some good tunes and this place had good tunes. Three year old noticed, danced. We got the Mac and cheese balls accidentally and it was an excellent accident - they were very good, excellent seasoning. I had the pilgrim burger which is essentially my favorite sandwich but as a burger and it delivered. Our newly minted three year old said she wanted the kid's cheeseburger which was a surprise, not sure we've seen her order one before, and she loved it! All that said, I felt compelled to right a review because of the service. The team was excellent, they treated us so well and dealt with the hot mess that was a three year old and a one year old. Went today with my family for my daughter's 5th birthday. All I have to say is WOW! I'm not even a burger person and I ate the entire burger immediately and was left wanting more. Probably the best burger I've ever had. My kids had giant frappes and they were incredible, certainly fitting for a birthday! I think my kids will talk about them for years to come. They were able to do substitutions if requested and if you didn't like any given, you were able to build your own burger. They had appetizers as well but we just ordered burgers. The shakes were monstrous but we were so full that we couldn't even look at desert. The service was great and helpful and the place was so clean. Tried it on a whim as I was walking by in a random Friday afternoon and came back in early November. Best burgers I've had in a while. I'm quite partial to the "Killer Bee" and ended with a decadent Oreo Milkshake. I'm always trying to come up with excuses to come back. Space can be tight, which I don't care about but you'll run into waits at peak times. Frankly, those waits are worth it. I gave this place 3.5 stars. First of all let me get something off my chest. There is no AC in this restaurant. My family and I sat eating our meal in a 90 degree heat, sweating like we are in a sauna. Other than that I thought the foods here are good but the burgers are a bit over rated and just average. The menu have a mixtures of everything from burgers, salad, fried, soups..so there a bit of everything for everyone. The restaurant is small but the services is fast. My waitress is very attentive and happy. She alway checked on us and have a smile on her face. Their frappe look amazing, fun and very creatives. My absolute favorite was The Mac Attack, embodying the quintessential Southern spirit. -- Aesthetically pleasing with its juice-oozing patty and bacon and generous amounts of mac & cheese on top of that, tasted great with my Jack Abby draft. The potato chips were lit too; I didn't find it that salty as others have pointed out. I ordered the Nutella Frappe to go, since there was no way that I can finish everything in one seating, but the waitress warned me that it would be without the chocolate rim and few toppings; but I was fine with that. My family and I were visiting and were hungry after biking in Cambridge, visiting MIT, so we walked across the river into Boston and previous Yelp reviews led us like a beacon in the night to Boston Burger. I started with an adult beverage, Boston Tea Party, similar to an Arnold Palmer. My son had the Boneless BBQ wings that he said were super good & I had the Sophie which was fantastically yummy.
