The "Table" sandwich was massive, delicious, and had everything on it as described on the menu. My partner and I had intended to order another sandwich, an eggplant offering, but they were out of eggplant and said there would be more available in 3 hours. We decided to split the "Table". Thank goodness because 1/2 was more than filling. When we arrived there was a line of at least 20 people ahead of us waiting to order. The line moved fairly swiftly as we waited approximately 10 minutes to order. At ordering we were told our order would be ready in 45 minutes. Upon checkout, when the card machine was turned toward us, we opted not to apply a tip, as there was nowhere to sit to enjoy our sandwich and noone to serve us. Reviewing the receipt we saw that we were automatically charged for a 20% tip of $5.20 on the $26 sandwich and further more, the receipt had recommended %'s for an additional tip. The sandwich was ready in the stated 45 minutes. It was very good, but would have been memorable and brag-worthy if we had a table to sit at as we waited and then enjoyed our meal. As it was we ate, sitting on a granite bench adjacent to the Paul Revere on horseback statue surrounded by Boston's finest pigeons. We were unaccustomed to tipping for no service without being notified ahead of cashing out. While we generally tip 20% or better for service, when no service or seating is offered, being charged 20% without notification is offensive and we won't be back. read more

The hype is real! We ordered 2 sandwiches; The Sicilian for me & Vodka Chicken Parmesan for my husband. They were pricier than regular sandwiches BUT ALSO, they are huge and definitely 2 meals. We almost felt that we were inconveniencing the workers and the wait time is absurd for in person orders. There was a long line when we arrive so we decided to order online. Once ordered, we were given a 65-75min estimated wait time. We went down the street to grab some small bites while we waited. We got back when we got the email saying our food is ready for pickup 75mins later, but was told to wait another 10min... we got coffee at their shop across the street and came back 15mins later and it's still not ready. We came in on a weekend to get one of their famous sandwiches and it's safe to say a lot of others had the same idea as us. We ordered in store, and waited on a line that was out the door for about 15 mins to place our order. It took about 30-40 mins to receive our order which was one sandwich. There were a few customers near us who came in for online pickup orders and waited upwards of an hour. I would definitely recommend coming in the store and ordering because it seems like our orders were prioritized. The store itself had a lot of prepared foods, pastas, italian speciality items available to purchase. Also, there is nowhere to sit inside and it got extremely cramped inside with all of the customers so just be aware of that. As for the actual sandwich, they were massive. Served with a little tub of red marinara sauce for dunking, and that was very good too. -- Vodka Chicken Parmesan: Served on a soft Italian sub roll, a double layer of crisp chicken cutlets gets hit with vodka sauce instead of the traditional marinara. Creamier, even buttery, with that red still lingering in the backdrop. Just the right amount of moisture, but if you wanna go heavy, the sauce container of extra vodka sauce that comes with it is great for pouring or dunking-- and good for saving to use later. Would get this again. -- Brie, Fig & Prosciutto: A thick, warmed slab of soft brie cheese, with thinner prosciutto, topped with a generous slather of fig jam, some arugula, and extra virgin olive oil, held between two just-the-right-thickness slices of focaccia. One of the priciest sandwiches I've had. I was sent here on a side quest since I had a yoga class nearby. Apparently they've gone viral on social media. Hands down the best sandwich I've ever had in my life. The size is absolutely massive (literally the size of my head and probably enough for 3-4 people), but that doesn't take away from its perfect composition! The ratio of bread to filling is spot on--although it may be difficult to get a full bite of everything at once. When you do though, you're met with an amazing mixture of the nutty pesto, fresh tomatoes, creamy mozzarella, crispy arugula, and tender chicken all encased two pieces of fluffy focaccia. I would DEFINITELY recommend The Sicilian if this combo sounds good to you, but their menu has a variety of delicious options to chose from. As for the service and ordering process itself, it was super easy! I would recommend ordering far ahead of time before picking up just to give them time to prepare your order. Also, though it has the cutest, modern Italian deli charm, the spot itself is quite small, so if you order in person be prepared to wait outside which might take a while. We also got a bag of the homemade chips. It was all pretty tasty and the ingredients were fresh. The store is on the smaller side but there is a bit of room to wait.
