i ordered the table sandwich and it was genuinely the biggest sandwich i've ever seen. for 27 you get a lot. their freshly baked focaccia bread was so good. inside, it's stuffed with chicken cutlet, prosciutto, veggies, and balsamic dressing. this place is very tiny but super crowded because of the social media hype so expect to wait a good 20 min after ordering.

I see why this was rated best sandwich in Boston !!!! This bad boy was stellar !!! ... although I paid $30 for it... Was still worth every penny!! I made modifications to the original sandwich "The Table" ... description of modifications are in the pictures posted !!! ... will definitely be back the next visit to Boston !!

The hype is real! We ordered 2 sandwiches; The Sicilian for me & Vodka Chicken Parmesan for my husband. They were pricier than regular sandwiches BUT ALSO, they are huge and definitely 2 meals. Both were delicious and worth the price! The pesto on the focaccia for my sicilian was absolutely fantastic. The vodka parm came with a side of dipping sauce leaving that sandwich smothered with flavors. WE WILL BE BACK. Oh and there was a "wait". When we ordered online, it stated a 55-1hr pickup time for both sandwiches to be made. We took a walk to Bova's, ordered some pastries and then returned. In all, I'd say it was 45mins... but we would've gladly waited the hour.

The only thing that makes this location a five star is indeed the sandwich itself. The service was not great. We almost felt that we were inconveniencing the workers and the wait time is absurd for in person orders. But I have to give credit when it's due, this was by far one of my favorite sandwiches although they are pricey, you can easily feed a party of four with a nice bag of chips on the side. We were blessed with being able to try the table sandwich. The focaccia was fresh along with the mozzarella and arugula. Since we made an online order which quoted us 45 minutes, our sandwich was ready in 20 so unfortunately, the chicken cutlet was not as fresh as we would've liked. Sidenote, the first day we attempted to order in person they quoted us an hour, so we decided to place an order of the following day. Highly recommend placing the order and staying local to be safe. Despite all the sandwiches, well worth the weight, just don't have high expectations for service We love the ambience of a little Italian market, and it was very well kept

There was a long line when we arrive so we decided to order online. Once ordered, we were given a 65-75min estimated wait time. We went down the street to grab some small bites while we waited. We got back when we got the email saying our food is ready for pickup 75mins later, but was told to wait another 10min... we got coffee at their shop across the street and came back 15mins later and it's still not ready. We waited in store and saw a lot of people asking the status of their order. We finally got our sandwich close to 2hrs after we ordered and 40min after the supposedly ready time. The sandwich was huge (enough for 2) and came with a side of sauce to dip in. If you have time and don't mind waiting, this is your place but don't come hungry expecting to get your food anytime soon.

Not much to say here other than the sandwich is huge, delicious and filling. The cutlets are well made. The bread reminds me of Pizza Hut pan pizza with how buttery and seasoned it is and it smells so similar.

Sándwich was phenomenal!!! It's HUGEEE that's why it's $27. Please note on the weekends you have to wait over 35mins because the lines are super long. chicken cutlets with prosciutto, mozzarella, arugula and balsamic glaze on a focaccia? ALL THE DELICIOUSNESS IN ONE BITE. My friend and I shared the Sandwich , there's no places to eat inside so you have to eat inside or in your car.

My friend has been raving about this place, and from her reviews to countless online, this was a stop that had to be made during my time in Boston. Since we were familiar with the wait time, we chose to order the TABLE online, and it took about an hour for the order to be ready. I'm glad they offered that option, as waiting in line for an hour as well seems a bit annoying, though I'm sure the sandwich is good lol. As we were headed to get our sandwich, we were stopped by the street fair going on right in front of the store, and that was a fun thing to witness and walk through for a bit! As we actually arrived in the place, I was shocked to see how small it was, but it was filled with so many baked goods, prepped items, and other selections that were associated with the restaurant, and that was great to see. When we were given our sandwich, I was instantly shocked by how heavy it was and wanted to rush to try it. Unfortunately, the only options to eat are random benches around the area or a courtyard a few blocks away that offers seats and shade, which was a plus. Opening the sandwich and seeing it in person was the best, and although it was $25, it can be split between two people and was ultimately worth it because it was a really good and solid sandwich. The only thing I wished would've been more condiments on it, but next time I'd definitely ask for that; regardless, it was a yummy and filling sandwich. This was very much worth the stop, and I look forward to trying it again in the future.

I finally made it to Table Mercato in the North End, and I'm still thinking about that sandwich. I ordered the $27 "Table" sandwich, and when they handed it to me, I genuinely laughed--it was gigantic. This wasn't just a sandwich; it was an event. Stuffed to the brim and packed with layers of high-quality meats, sharp cheese, fresh toppings, and perfectly dressed greens, it felt like it weighed as much as a small child. The bread had that ideal balance: crusty on the outside with a soft, chewy interior that held everything together without falling apart. Yes, I waited about 20 minutes. And yes, it was absolutely worth it. Every bite was perfectly balanced--savory, salty, slightly tangy, with just the right amount of crunch. Nothing tasted like an afterthought. It felt carefully built, not just piled high for show (even though it definitely makes a statement). I ended up sharing it, and there was still more than enough to go around. The vibe at Table Mercato is casual and efficient--no frills, just seriously good food done right. If you're in the North End and debating whether a $27 sandwich is worth it, I can confidently say: it is. I'd wait the 20 minutes all over again. Filled with prosciutto, chicken cutlet, mozzarella, argula and sauce.

One of the best things I ate during my trip to Boston was the Table sandwich. It's located in this small shop in north end. Expect to have to wait in line to order and take some time to get your sandwich, but let me tell you that it's well worth the wait. We only ordered one sandwich for two people, which was more than enough because the sandwich is huge! We walked over to the wharf, about 5 minutes away, to sit and eat since there is not seating at this shop, but the sandwich is perfect for an outdoor lunch. Everything about the sandwich was perfect - the focaccia held up to all the ingredients, the cutlets were perfectly seasoned, and all the other items were perfectly balanced together. Do not skip this sandwich!

This place went viral last year... and for good reason! The inside is pretty small with no place to sit. While you can order there, it does seem like it takes some time for the sandwiches to be made. There is a sign saying that for the weekends to expect up to an hour wait for your sandwich. That being said, I ordered ahead online and my sandwich was ready when I got there. (This was a Thursday afternoon). I got the vodka chicken Parm after seeing it online and it definitely lives up to the hype. And yes, it is ~$30. The sandwich is huge. It has huge cutlets in it which are very filling, and perfectly made. It ended up being enough for two people, so find a person to share it with! The vodka sauce in the sandwich was sooooo good, definitely one of the best I've found in boston. They also provide you with a whole container of sauce to dip your sandwich into (highly recommend doing that). What lost the star is that I felt there wasn't enough basil. For that huge sandwich, there was actually very few bites with basil. I wish there was more of it, and I also wish there was some other green in there like arugula. Other than that, it's a great sandwich. I'd definitely get this again!

Table Mercato is a very cozy italian speciality store in the heart of the North End. We came in on a weekend to get one of their famous sandwiches and it's safe to say a lot of others had the same idea as us. We ordered in store, and waited on a line that was out the door for about 15 mins to place our order. It took about 30-40 mins to receive our order which was one sandwich. There were a few customers near us who came in for online pickup orders and waited upwards of an hour. I would definitely recommend coming in the store and ordering because it seems like our orders were prioritized. The store itself had a lot of prepared foods, pastas, italian speciality items available to purchase. Also, there is nowhere to sit inside and it got extremely cramped inside with all of the customers so just be aware of that. As for the actual sandwich, they were massive. You only need 1 for 2 people, and we still had a hard time finishing it. You certainly get a bang for your buck here. The sandwich itself was excellent, I loved the focaccia and the fresh mozz. Overall, I am glad we tried it and we really enjoyed the food, but I would avoid coming here on a weekend during the lunch rush.

If you are going to come here, I highly recommend mobile ordering ahead so that you don't have to wait one hour for your sandwich. They are very busy. The sandwich is well worth the wait though. It is one of the largest sandwiches I've ever had, so one sandwich can easily be split between two people. The focaccia bread is fresh and fluffy. The chicken cutlet is nicely breaded, and crisp. I would come here every week if I lived in Boston.

The catering was impressive. Before anyone even took a bite. Every half sandwich was individually wrapped and clearly labeled, with salads and sides neatly organized, making it easy for a large group to grab lunch without the usual catering chaos. The choices were wide and varied. We took our lunches upstairs to a rooftop seating area overlooking the Seaport, which made for a pretty great setting on a beautiful afternoon. I chose the Gobbler, and it lived up to the hype I've since read in other reviews. At first glance it sounds like a Thanksgiving leftover sandwich, but it's much more than that. The turkey was fresh and flavorful, and it was complemented by stuffing, cranberry sauce, spinach, pepper jack cheese, and just enough chipotle mayo to add an unexpected kick, without overwhelming everything else. It's one of those combinations that sounds busy on paper but comes together remarkably well. I spoke with several others over lunch, and they were equally impressed with their choices. That's always a good sign when you're feeding a crowd. It's one thing to make a great sandwich to order; it's another to deliver dozens of them catered while maintaining that level of quality. Since this was catered, I can't really comment on the restaurant itself. The service on the catering side, however, was evident in how thoughtfully everything was prepared and packaged, and the rooftop setting where we enjoyed lunch certainly didn't hurt. Needless to say, this won't be my last Sam LaGrassa's sandwich. I fully intend to visit the restaurant one of these days, and in the meantime I'll spend some time trying to recreate that Gobbler at home (maybe with sliced roasted chicken, but also with turkey when I have it). It was that good.

If there was a way for the burrito to be wrapped so all the ingredients were more evenly distributed - this would easily be a 5/5 breakfast burrito. One random detail that stuck out to me was that their drinks in their refrigerator were very cold - no lukewarm sodas here! I would come back here to try their signature "Fancy" sandwich. The workers were busy making subs. and it took about 5 min before the 1st guy got his food, the 2nd guy ended up leaving ordering nothing. After he got his food I waited another 11 minutes just standing there, every so often an employee would look at me and one finally said they would be right with me. over 10 minutes is too long. I thought maybe they have a lot of online orders? Another person came in after me and during my wait period to order he ended up leaving as well after 7 minutes. I used to actually own a sub shop in Plymouth a few decades ago that got very busy. If there is a long line of people coming in, take the order right away so they can just wait for the food. people dont tend to wait so long as I did and you lose money. This will keep them there. I got a different employee that made my food thankfully , but I keep thinking about this and dont want to go back, this is a food safety issue. Its disgusting to be honest.
