Deb (Debbie/Deborah) at the front desk was so patient and kind when I called to say I'm lost and can't find the building. She stayed on the phone with me and patiently guided me how to get to the correct building. (totally my own fault, I struggle with my navigator. The building is simple to find if you just follow directions. I arrived late and stressed, but she was kind and understanding. Dr. Chu was very kind, explained his recommendations and let me ask any questions I wanted to. His assistant Hannah was also very nice. A week after my biopsy Hannah called to give me my results and asked if I had any questions. I'm glad my results were favorable. Either way I was going to leave a 5 star rating.

Unfortunately, my previous dermatologist did not accept the new insurance. I found Sand Dermatology on Yelp and read through the reviews before deciding to call and schedule an appointment. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed. The office was bright and modern, the waiting room was spacious, and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. After being shown to the examination room, I waited only a short time before Dr. Pham came in. She introduced herself and asked how she could help me. I explained my concerns, and she performed a thorough upper-body skin examination. Dr. Pham not only addressed all of my concerns, but she also noticed a few things that I hadn't even been aware of. I left the office feeling very pleased and confident that she genuinely cared about my well-being, even though it was my first visit with her. While I liked my previous dermatologist and would have continued seeing him, I often felt that some of my concerns were not taken as seriously especially after going there for well over a decade. With Dr. Pham, every concern was acknowledged immediately and addressed thoroughly. If you're looking for a new dermatologist, I highly recommend asking for Dr. Pham at Sand Dermatology. Based on my experience today, my wife and our two daughters will be scheduling appointments as well, since they also need to find a new dermatologist.

Pros: We called, they reviewed our PPO insurance and confirmed they accepted it, and they were able to see her the very next day. We also met with the doctor at the appointment, which impressed me. She received a treatment during the visit, scheduled a follow-up, and was told a prescription would be sent to our pharmacy. Cons: Unfortunately, the follow-through wasn't great. We needed to reschedule the follow-up because of a conflict and we never received a call back. The prescription was never sent to the pharmacy despite us calling twice to ask about it. Daughter also never received any paperwork or email explaining the treatment she received or the recommended regimen going forward. I appreciated how quickly they got her in and liked the doctor, but the lack of follow-up and communication afterward was confusing. I don't think we'd return. Like I said, the whole experience was just odd.
