Out of nowhere she came up with a second $20 charge. Something about a 2 some year ago. A missed appointment which I had no idea. While I don't have an issue paying $20 for something I owe I don't appreciate the way she handle the situation. Right out the door, she said"$55 for today's appointment and $20 for a missed appointment in year 2023" I don't understand. I walked in a month ago for a waking and I was rejected, they could have mentioned that I owe them.They called me to confirm my appointment and there was no mention either, she waited until today10/28/2025. Deb (Debbie/Deborah) at the front desk was so patient and kind when I called to say I'm lost and can't find the building. She stayed on the phone with me and patiently guided me how to get to the correct building. (totally my own fault, I struggle with my navigator. The building is simple to find if you just follow directions. I arrived late and stressed, but she was kind and understanding. Dr. Chu was very kind, explained his recommendations and let me ask any questions I wanted to. His assistant Hannah was also very nice. A week after my biopsy Hannah called to give me my results and asked if I had any questions. I'm glad my results were favorable. Either way I was going to leave a 5 star rating.

Unfortunately, my previous dermatologist did not accept the new insurance. I found Sand Dermatology on Yelp and read through the reviews before deciding to call and schedule an appointment. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed. The office was bright and modern, the waiting room was spacious, and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. After being shown to the examination room, I waited only a short time before Dr. Pham came in. She introduced herself and asked how she could help me. I explained my concerns, and she performed a thorough upper-body skin examination. Dr. Pham not only addressed all of my concerns, but she also noticed a few things that I hadn't even been aware of. I left the office feeling very pleased and confident that she genuinely cared about my well-being, even though it was my first visit with her. While I liked my previous dermatologist and would have continued seeing him, I often felt that some of my concerns were not taken as seriously especially after going there for well over a decade. With Dr. Pham, every concern was acknowledged immediately and addressed thoroughly. If you're looking for a new dermatologist, I highly recommend asking for Dr. Pham at Sand Dermatology.
