I am SOOO sad that I have to write a bad review about this place! After loving the work on Boston Nails Salon&Spa Instagram, I was so excited to try the place out.....BIG MISTAKE. I made a special trip after work in Boston, sat through a hour and a half of traffic to be so disappointed in my nails that I could not even look the tech in the eyes. I had requested Bella but the women told me she was not available so I mistakenly settled for another tech, I requested a full set...I want to say I had tiny nail beds that often require nails to be trimmed a bit to fit me properly before they are placed on, the tech paid me no mind and continued to shove the oversize plastic on to my nails. EVERYTHING about them is WRONG, they are thick, crooked, and misshaped. i requested an oval, fairly simple request, one side is straight the other is round. I am embarrassed when people ask to see my nails, people have asked me if I put them on myself??!!! The women cut me 3x when she was "shaping" my nail!!! My fingers were so swollen and tender the following day from the hour and 45 minutes I spent there of having my nails sanded off, I could barley grip a pen. the kicker here is they charged my $48.00 for this absolutely horrible set. Okay y'all so quick rant here I went to Boston nails in Saugus ma and LEMME TELL YA it was an experience me and my 2 friends went first of all they where super rude second off they took one of my friends and made me and my other girl sit n wait for about an hour and we started to get annoyed. we also told them we wanted to get our toes done and they told us NO saying they didn't have time yet they kept taking more and more people saying they where appointments when they clearly weren't. so once they finally took me I showed them a picture of what I wanted my nails to look like and THIS IS WHAT THEY TRIED TO GIVE ME the lady kept dipping my fingers so many times the dip powder started to layer on my nail and it was chunky and sloppy she clearly didn't know what she was doing u could tell she was trying To cover up the fact that she had no idea how to do ombré and just trying to wing it I finally Just had enough I told her to stop and either have someone else fix them or just take them off because I wasn't walking around with my nails looking like that so the manager finally fixed them for me and I just told her to make them pink n call it a day my other friend never even ended up being taken at all DONT GO HERE they are super unprofessional and have no clue what they are doing read more

Good god. This place is so good, that I'm reviewing from the nail dryer. I got a pedicure on a whim. First, they're open on Sunday. This is a start. Second, the chair makes me feel like I need a seatbelt. Holy crap. It massages your tush and thighs. At first, that was awkward. Then I realized what I had been missing. My tech was friendly and sweet. I got a regular pedicure. Which apparently includes a hot stone rub and scrub and oil/lotion massage. What some others call "spa pedicure." I will return. I am embarrassed it has taken me this long to write a review. First of all, I have had a LONG history with Jenny, the owner of the salon, and have been getting my nails done with her for about 12 years (no lie). I followed her here when she opened this up a little more than a year ago from Pro Nails in Revere. Not only is she the sweetest person - she is AMAZING and so detail oriented. I have NEVER once left her salon without a SMILE from ear to ear. My entire family now comes here and they all see various ladies - doesn't matter who you see, they are all great. read more

I just wanted to post an update. Sometimes I will be out of town for more than a few weeks and I will read local yelp reviews and try to find the best salon near my hotel. And I am always so glad when I come back home to Jenny at Boston Nails. No one else devotes the level of attention and detail as Jenny. I have had other staff at Boston Nails and Jenny has set a high standard, which they all follow. Let me give you an example, after putting on several coats of gel, Jenny goes back over the tips of each nail, just the tips, and applies a third level of protective color. Because we all know the nails start to chip at the tip. This extra attention takes more time and uses more product. But the results are proof. The manicures from Boston Nails last longer than any others I have had. And, Jenny helps be avoid dreadful color mistakes...always:) read more

the last time i had my nails done here they were good. my only complaint about them was that my cuticles weren't pushed down or cut. although the lady rushed and didn't even stay long enough for me to tip her. this place is also weirdly creepy sometimes. the fish tank is dirty and bare. which isn't appealing or good for the fish. read more

Worst nail salon ever! So I got a fill on my acrylic and the next day all my nails are cracked, the paint job is awful and they're all completely different lengths and sizes. They are cheap so they use the smallest amount of acrylic so my nails are wide im some places and narrow in others. And she didn't take any tools out of the package to pluck my cuticles. read more

Wow, what a disaster. I have been getting waxings since I was 12 (the curse of having Mediterranean blood and very dark hair!), but I have never had an experience like this. I needed my eyebrows and upper lip done, and I figured I'd try this place again since it's close to where I live. When I came in, the woman ushered me into the waxing room. The paper sheet on the chair had clearly been layed on before-- it was wrinkled-- and it made me concerned about hygiene, but I didn't want to appear rude, so I grimaced and sat down. The woman was on the phone, said to me that she was talking to someone in Vietnam, and proceeded to talk through my entire appointment! Incredibly unprofessional. Still, I would have looked past all this if the waxing had been good. But I have never had such a messy, painful, and ineffective waxing in my entire life. Somehow, the wax wound up in my entire eyebrow, which she then tried to comb out-- ouch! She even managed to get wax in my hair. When she moved on to my lip, I couldn't believe it; my entire top lip was covered in wax, practically gluing my mouth shut, and it almost bled when she pulled it off. She made some sorry excuse about my being skin being "warm", which meant that she couldn't get the hairs she was trying to get. I have no idea how this reasoning is logical. When I got home and took a good look at myself, she had missed entire strips of hair below my eyebrows. I had to put hot compresses on my eyebrows to get the wax out... after using hot soap, water, and tweezers, I still couldn't get all of it. I then had to pull out the remaining hairs, too. The whole experience was absolutely terrible. I wouldn't go back there if they paid me! I'm actually only signing up on Yelp to post this, hopefully so others won't make the same mistake I did! read more

I will start off by saying that the 1 star is for the hot stone massage. So, at least they have that. We made an appointment for 3 pedicures at 11 o'clock. They took us all in at 11 o'clock and we got chairs next to each other. I got taken right away. My sister sat for probably a half hour in lukewarm water (not bubbling) before someone came over to take her. My mom waited longer. So, we were obviously going to finish at different times, which was frustrating because we had lunch plans. Not 1 tool was taken out of plastic packaging. We also witnessed the technicians take tools from one person directly to another without ANY sanitizing! Even the file that was used on my mom had another persons nail polish on it. Very very disturbing. The technician taking care of my sister was answering the phone while giving the pedicure, and she was wearing plastic gloves, which defeats the purpose. The technician who took my mom exfoliated her feet so hard that she drew blood and my mom had to ask for her to stop. The technician that cleaned my moms water tub cleaned it with a couple swipes of the grossest sponge ever. No cleanser. Just two squirts of water. The technician that cleaned my sisters water tub used THE FOOT SCRUBBER BRUSH to clean the tub. There were gross dirty dusty old shoes just sitting in a corner by the dryers. One technician took laundry out of the backroom and just sat out with the customers folding it. And, not to be picky, but not one person asked us if they could take our jackets, and not one technician tried to make any conversation. We have been trying out new nail salons and will surely not be back to this one. I am pondering calling the board of health on this one. Poor customer service, poor conditions... really really disappointed. Disgusted. read more

I have been twice now and will continue to go back. Friendly, clean and very good prices. The pedicure with hot rock massage was fantastic!

This place is awsome. I love it. They did my nails perfectly. Moreover, whenever I come here, I feel like I'm the VIP. And they treat everycustomer the same way, everyone coming to have their nails are considered VIP. They are funny and friendly. If you want to have beautiful and healthy nails to wear, then my advice is coming here. You will never regret it. You will love it as I do. This place is located near the Saugus Mall. My favorite nail salon in the city. Prices are a bit high but they are worth it. They are clean and friendly. This is the only nail salon I have gotten dip powder at and love the results. I have been coming to this salon for about a year and always request Kim. This place was recommended to me by a friend of a friend and I have not been disappointed; my whole family comes now. My mother and sister have both received pedis as well as manis, and have been very happy with all of the techs so far. I always watch the techs at the pedi stations and have observed very good habits, cleaning the tubs well, fresh gloves for each client, and clean tools being used. One of the best gel manicures I have ever gotten. I am very picky too! She did my cuticles perfectly. Not too much off but just enough. Instead of two coats of gel color she did three and then did two top coats. It looks great and is close to my cuticle so it doesn't look grown out. Highly recommend. Very clean too. read more

I really hate writing bad reviews when the people are nice. I made an appointment for me and a friend for a mani/pedi. We had heard good things and our regular place was booked so we tried this place, especially since it's so close to our house. The pedicure was okay. The hot stones were a huge plus but my tech talked through the whole thing and I felt like she wasn't really focused. She also kept commenting on the length of my nails and the friends of my skin. I'm not offended by her remarks but honestly keep them to yourself, it's rude. When I went to get my manicure though is were the real disappointment came in. She continued to make comments about my personal choices regarding nail length, and used her own fingernail to scrape paint off my skin which was both painful and gross. She removed my cuticles well but there's a large gap from nail bed to polish and I JUST got my nails done yesterday. There looks like three days of growth. She also didn't paint to the top of the nail. So it looks like I either did the myself or had my 7 year old niece do it for me. The tech was nice but didn't stop talking once and got inappropriate a few times, making jokes about periods body image and passing gas. Honestly I won't come back again even if my regular location is booked. Just not worth it. read more
