I had a very upsetting experience here and won't be returning. I came in last week with my two kids just to order a pizza, and the entire environment felt uncomfortable from the start. The manager, Mo, gave off very unsettling vibes that made me feel uneasy. There is also another male employee who has been there every time I've visited who yells aggressively (with a heavy accent), which creates a tense and uncomfortable atmosphere. At one point, the employee who was yelling told me to leave because he wanted to clean early. I checked the time, and it was only 6:40. Being told to leave that early, especially in that tone, was shocking and completely unprofessional. As a parent, I did not feel safe or welcomed in this environment. It's not the kind of place you want to bring children. On top of that, the food was disappointing. The pizza had an odd, overly elastic texture and was very bland and flavorless. My chicken parmigiana was burnt. The "garlic bread" was burnt. Salad dressing was not what I ordered. I tried to take it back to the restaurant. I was treated sooo rudely. The young girl said she couldn't do anything about it. How about refund my money ? The food was delivered to a patient at Lankenau hospital. This place was amazing I will start with the gentleman that assisted us, he was amazing, always smiling. This is what I call Above and Beyond customer service. Food, we had 2 slices of pizza one pepperoni and 1 mushrooms, the flavor was amazing, we are from out of town and I haven't had a good pizza till I found this place! We also had a mushroom steak and cheese, we also added lettuce tomato's and mayo.. OMG TO DIE FOR!! Under new management that has no clue. Service was appalling. Ordered online with a 20 minute pick-up time. Arrived and the checkout girl couldn't find my order. Then I was presented with one pizza and a salad; I had ordered two pizzas. Was told that the second pizza was coming. After ten minutes a guy told me that the original had stuck to the pan, so he was making a new one. Another 15 minutes before the pizza was ready. No apology, no comp for the delay. This is my neighborhood pizza place. It's tough because on one side when they get it right it's so good. On the other side they are so inconsistent that it's super frustrating. Never order online. We figured putting it in writing might help them not miss the details. No luck. They still forget most parts of the order. We tried only picking up in person and not doing delivery. This just means we have to sit around while they correct their mistakes and half the food gets cold. The food you do get, it's a dice roll - sometime the fries are perfect. Sometimes they're burnt to a crisp and inedible. The pizza is delicious, except when they undercook the dough and it's gross. The most comical part is that when you try to report a problem to them they will 100% always tell you that it's your fault (ordering online so there's a record still causes grumbling). AND they have the gall to send out customer satisfaction surveys that I am positive go into a black hole. I feel like the order accuracy and food quality has taken a dive in the last 12-18 months. Got a chicken finger salad and a slice of pizza. Chicken finger salad was large on a bed of iceberg with cut up chicken fingers and classic pizza parlor honey mustard. The pizza advertised as Boston style I couldn't really tell too much of a difference than regular other than larger fluffier crust. How can you have White Florentine gourmet pizza on your menu which features crispy bacon and then not have any bacon??? Had to substitute another meat but wasn't happy with having to do that. Well, yes this place has been in business for a long time and yes they have lots of good reviews, BUT the 1 Star reviews are piling-up fast! I'm not sure if they're deep in debt or something else but they are definitely SKIMPING ON THE PORTIONS, but still charging well above normal pricing. We live near by for the last 28 years and know a few years ago prices went-up to ridiculous highs so we stopped going. Foods good but not that good and the portions were never more then average. So tonight (1st time in a long time) I ordered the 12" Stromboli cheese and sauce for $10.50 (same price as a 16" plain pie). It was a flat-tire, sad-looking sorry excuse for a Stromboli. There was a small pocket of cheese, maybe equal to two slices and just as weak amount of sauce. Unbelievable! Cheap rip-off portion - let's not forget a 16" plain cheese pie is the same price. Wow! This is truly a Main Line Trap. What a joke! We have gotten takeout from Boston Style for decades. However, the past year the food has been inconsistent and not worth the money. The other day, our last order ever, was the worst. Once again I asked for no onions in the salad (allergic) and there were tons; I called and was treated poorly on the phone. A business that definitely has decent Greek pizza, however, the staff are lazy, rude, and inappropriate. Do I want to hear about the lady making my salad have a cyst on her finger? NO!! They have a tip jar for what reason to give them tips on what not to do for leading a successful business. The staff makes you walk up and get your salad, pizza, etc. Also, l love how your pizza sits there for customers in line to breathe on an added touch. The usual Greek style Italian pizza, hoagies, grinders and platters you'd expect. Order pizza without too much oil. Steak and chicken hoagies are allright. Fries cooked to your desire. Platters include spaghetti, Chicken Parm, baked ziti, turkey and make good Cheese Burgers. Soda selection isn't much. No milkshakes. They deliver and add fee for delivery. We supported them along with other neighborhood businesses through the worst of the pandemic and have continued to order from them 1-2 times a month up until tonight. Love this place. It's one of my few go-to places on the main line for pizza and sandwiches. The quality of their pizza has drastically improved over the years. If you haven't had them in a while, I highly recommend giving them another shot. I'm a huge fan of both their red and white pizzas as well as their awesome sandwiches (especially the Tuscan Chicken & hoagies) and their generously portioned salads. Used to live in the neighborhood 35 years ago. The place is still there. The menu is broader and they have freshened up the decor just a bit, but it's still the same place, largely. That's a good thing! I ordered a cheesesteak and pizza for the family to see if it still tasted as I remembered. I even set to the side my gluten-free focus for the day. Pizza was awesome and brought back memories. Lots of flavor to the sauce - almost a smoky quality to it. And the crust is awesome. Somewhere between thin and thick crust pizza, yet they manage to have it be both crispy and soft at the same time. Wish they were out here. I would order all the time. I am curious now how their gluten free one is, but I may have to wait many years until I am back in Philly to find out. Frequently state that delivers will be there in 45 minutes to an hour, only to show up 2 hours later and cold. Concerns are dismissed and minimized. I have been coming here since our 1/2 day trips in 5th grade (about 23 years). We used to leave Penn Wynne and walk down with almost the whole class, and it was a big deal! Well 23 years later, it's still a great feeling whenever I go. Not only does the place look and feel the same, but the food is consistent and tasty every time. From the mozzarella sticks to the tuna grinder to the cheesesteaks to the pizza, it's always just plain old good.
