    Alfie, a past Boston buddy.

Boston buddies is an awesome rescue that opens its arms and resources to love and rehome Boston terriers in Los Angeles, Orange County and surrounding areas. I have volunteered with this rescue and have experienced so many heart wrenching stories as well as heart warming stories, there are so many pups out there that need a home. The process in adopting a rescue may seem a little tedious and long but trust me it is all to guarantee that the pup is placed in a perfect home. They really do a good job at matching a dog with a compatible home and family. Boston buddies also hosts a yearly fundraising event every October "the Boston tea party" that is super fun! They have a Facebook page that is continuously updated with information, like online silent auctions, new and current rescues, volunteer needs, and success stories. Please please please if you are thinking of adding a pup to your family consider Boston buddies. If you have extra time on your hands and want to volunteer the "buddies " are almost always in need.

I spoke with our hosts over the phone before the party. They answered all of my questions, offered to configure the lobby for our needs, and assured me that there would be several volunteers assisting on the night of the party. We loved hosting such a unique party. All our daughter's friends were mesmerized by the cats. With so many cats in multiple rooms (kitten room, main room, quiet room), each of the girls and adults found their "spot" and had a great time. There was more than enough space for the 23 guests we had The cats were so sweet and fun. With dozens of cats in the same room, you might think that the cats would be fighting or disruptive, but it was just the right mix of calm and playfulness. We brought in pizza and cupcakes, which we set up in the lobby. Cat Nap graciously provided tablecloths and some paper goods. The lobby is small and doesn't have the space for seating, but the girls didn't mind standing or sitting on the floor while they ate. They were eager to get back to the cats, so we didn't spend much time with the food. The volunteers absolutely blew us away with their hospitality. They offered to help us set up and haul trash, and they provided a first aid kit to a couple of our guests who got scratched by the kitties. They answered questions from our curious guests, and they kept the space very clean through the whole evening. Overall, we are so happy to have hosted a party at Cat Nap! Several of our guests are now asking their parents to have their birthday parties there, too!

And the AMOUNT OF AIR FRESHNERS you have trying to cover the horrid smell. Absolutely disgusting. Those poor cats !!!!! How dare you !!! Me and my child left the "birthday party " that was there . I do not condone this disgusting behavior ! take better care of your cats ! Get a better ventilation system . And get rid of 50of your 100 cats . Sorry excuse for an adoption site full of greed and blatant denial . Gross !

I adopted one of our pups from here and he has been such a blessing in our lives. The fees are…read moreincredibly reasonable, especially considering that all the animals are fully checked out by their veterinarian at the Chino Hills clinic and are spayed/neutered already, which gave us great peace of mind. Unlike many rescues that are solely foster-based, PPR has a physical location. This is a huge advantage because you can actually visit, meet the dogs (and cats), and even use their play yard to see if you get along before committing to adoption. The facility is clean and the animals appear well-cared for. Every volunteer I met was friendly and helpful, without being pushy like I've encountered at some other shelters. I'm so grateful this rescue exists to help with the animal overpopulation problem. I highly encourage everyone to check them out (and other rescues/shelters in the area) and consider adoption first when searching for a new family member!

i'm torn about making this review. while i am so thankful for our dog, winston, i am very…read moredisappointed in the lack of care by the rescue. upon meeting winston, my boyfriend and i noticed one of his eyes looked a little cloudy. when we asked the staff about it, they insisted that it was nothing and referred to winston's medical records. he is such a sweet dog and he's been an amazing addition to our family. however, it has barely been a month and i've already had to spend $2k on vet bills. i tried contacting the priceless pets vet that they refer their customers to, however they were no help at all. i ended up finding my own vet who confirmed winston is blind on the eye we pointed out, his teeth/ mouth was filled with infections and decayed teeth, and he had a lot of fleas. he needed several teeth extracted, and in doing so, they confirmed his age to be 6-7 years old. priceless pets told us he was 4 years old. overall, i do not regret adopting winston. i just wish the shelter did a better job of taking care of their animals and disclosing important information so that people know what they're getting into. i was not anticipating spending $2k within the first month of adopting our dog. had this all been disclosed, i could've at least prepared better. if you're looking to adopt a dog from here, i encourage you to have them conduct a full medical examination before doing so. don't rely on the medical history paperwork they provide upon adoption.
