My friend is Brazilian, and she highly recommended we meet here in Windermere for lunch. I've been to various parts of Brazil with her over the years and she said the food here is as close as you can get to being in Brazil. She was definitely on the mark! The restaurant is open and spacious. The look is sleek and relaxing. Our waiter spoke both Portuguese and English and menus are available in both languages. (You may have to ask for an English menu.) My friend and I discussed the menu (it is huge!) and made recommendations as there are more options than you can imagine. She noted that everything here is fresh and that the Caipirinhas are made with real fruit juices. (Caipirinhas were my favorite drink of choice in Brazil and the ones made here are amazing!) I tried two of them - one made with coconut and lime and the other the traditional lime Caipirinha. The presentation of the coconut one was picture worthy (see pic) but maybe had too much ice as my glass was still half full of ice when I finished it. The lime one was superb! My friend ordered a virgin pineapple and mint mocktail and loved it. Although the prices seem a little high, you get plenty of food for the money. We took half of our meal home with us because we could not eat it all in one setting - and we only had an appetizer and an entree! I understand half orders can be placed so you may want to consider that as an option also. Now for the food! For the "appetizer" (it is huge!), we selected the Full Fritters Manolo Combo Special ($42). The dumplings consisted of 2 codfish, 2 shrimp with Brazilian creamy cheese, 2 black beans, 2 jerked beef and 2 short ribs. WOW!!! The fritters were amazing! They did not taste like dried-out fried fritters but were soft and moist and full of flavor! (See pic.) They were definitely a meal in themselves, and we took half of them home. What a savory mixture and an awesome way to start off my Brazilian food adventure! Fluffy pillows of happiness are how I would summarize these delicious fritters. My friend then recommended the Moqueca Capixaba for our entree. It was a velvety combination of mahi-mahi fish stew with shrimp, served with white rice and smooth fish yuca puree. She told me to place the puree on the side of the stew close to the rice as this puree is also a Brazilian delicacy. She was correct in all regards. What a delicious main course, and again, enough food to take home for additional enjoyment. Finally, the service was quite good. Our server was pleasant and although my friend and him conversed a lot in Portuguese, he also spoke English to make me feel comfortable as well. Food is always good. Unfortunately, they don't take substitutions very well. We want to substitute the collars for the french fries and they wouldn't allow that we would've had no problem paying extra for it, but they wouldn't allow it. We've never had a bad meal there. I have tried a lot of Brazilian restaurants in the Orlando area and more often than not, left disappointed by low quality food that is priced as high-end food. Not here! My group had the family style beef ribs with risotto and fried polenta as an appetizer. We were all blown away by the large portion, fresh, authentic and delicious food. Their menu of Brazilian specialties is extensive and everyone in my group is looking forward to coming back and trying more of them. The only negative, which reduced one star, was the surprisingly high price of $6.50 for a can of Brazilian soda. It kind of felt like a "gotcha" since the excellent food is reasonably priced for its quality. For those trying Brazilian food for the first time, be warned that it is indeed salty and often very rich with a lot of deep fried items and absurd amounts of heavy cream, cheese and so on. Boteco do Manolo's - A Hidden Gem Once You Understand the Menu We've driven past Boteco do Manolo's for a few years, always curious but a little hesitant to try it. On our first visit, we almost walked out after looking at the menu--at first glance, everything seemed overpriced for what it was. But here's the thing we didn't realize: the portions are meant to serve multiple people, not just one! Once the food started coming out, it all made sense. The dishes include generous portions--big servings of perfectly cooked rice, traditional Brazilian black beans, sides, and usually around four pieces of meat (depending on the dish). What first looked like expensive pricing actually turned out to be a great value, especially for a group of four. We ended up sitting at the bar, though that part of the experience was a little underwhelming. There wasn't a bartender to engage with, just one woman making drinks who didn't speak English--but she definitely knew what she was doing. I had a passionfruit Caipirinha, and it was incredible. Made fresh on the spot with real fruit and juice--the flavor was absolutely on point. It was just the two of us, and while we haven't been back yet, we left happy and full (and with a ton of leftovers). Not a good experience at all. We ordered some appetizers to start our night and couldn't stomach even finishing them. Empanadas were probably the worst I've ever had. Everything else was salty and oily and left a very bad taste in the mouth. Moving on to the beverage, the safety and comfort of a simple sweet tea was shattered by a something that tasted more like a week old flat off brand cola that compounded the bad taste of the food. We let our waiter know that the food was bad and were met with a half hearted apology that was as flat as the drink we were served. Not wanted to ruin the night since it was my wife's birthday we paid and left to get food elsewhere. It was a shame since we were looking forward to trying this place and were left truly disappointed. Edit: the day was ruined anyway. After visiting the establishment we spent the rest of the night going to the bathroom and feeling like crap. Never have we eaten so little and felt so bad so soon after. As a great Brazilian that I am, I love our food! For me it is one of the best in the world! This restaurant is a great option to experience our delicious food! One of the things I miss the most and I love when I can have it in Orlando is the REAL juice, with real fruits and Manolo have a lot of options! Today we had the Orange / Strawberry juice, and it was amazing! You have the either the glass or pitcher. One of my favorite things of their menu, is the Bolinho de Feijoada! Is it a different and great way to taste one of our brazilian famous dish, Feijoada. We had a half size portion, which is big and great for 2 people ! We got one portion of the Chicken Catupiry and one for Picanha! It comes a lot of sides, rice, beans, fresh fries / yucca, farofa and pico de galo. All the food was amazing! Was looking for a spot for dinner and stumbled upon this restaurant located in Lakeside in Windermere. Having enjoyed Brazilian food, in Brazil, I thought to give it a try. The menu is focused more on the food of Rio. I was a little bummed not to see Pao de Queijo on the menu but figured it may be from other areas of Brazil. We started with drinks and I had a traditional caipirinha. It was honestly very well made and rivaled many I had in Brazil. My friend got a can of Guarana which is a popular soft drink in the area. Then came dinner. Let's first say the portions are quite large. We decided to split an appetizer and an entree. We ordered the Brazilian empanadas to start. We got 2 selections so tried the cheese and the chicken. They came out surprisingly fast but were fresh and hot. The cheese was my favorite of the 2, however the chicken one was very good and was mixed with a cheese similar to cream cheese. For the entree we ordered a half portion of the Grilled Top Sirloin. This came with 4 large steaks. The sides were white rice, black beans, French fries and dried beef farofa. Everything was seasoned well and cooked perfectly. The steaks were cooked to order and arrived at the proper temperature. We only ate half of the meal so each were able to take home enough for another meal. Although we were full, I couldn't leave without Brigadeiro. You get 3 large ones in an order. If you haven't had these they are similar to a truffle and these tasted like they had chocolate and dulce de leche inside. Yum! Service was very good and all of the staff there were very friendly. The place wasn't very busy but I assume it's likely people may not be familiar with them being there as they have been only open about 5 months. Ok, so this was an interesting dining experience. My husband and I stumbled upon this locale by accident, and honestly we were pleasantly surprised by it. Initially, the menu is a bit overwhelming. However, our waitress was so helpful and knowledgeable of everything on the menu that she guided us through the serving options (big portions!) and the food was just incredibly well-seasoned and cooked that we just fell in love with this place. I'm hispanic, so the ambiance felt like one of those restaurants I'd frequent on any given Sunday with family after church in the afternoon. I loved it Will definitely come back. read more

Food is great but customer service is lacking. Ordered online in July 2024 and they said less than an hour. Order came over an hour and missing stuff. I asked for at least some money back- I own a business and i believe if you make a mistake you need to make it right- they refused. Pretty sad when you don't take good care of customer. read more

This establishment misses many marks which is so disappointing. 1. Atmosphere doesn't feel welcoming or warm. There are rows upon rows of six tops aligned like a regiment. Just not as warm as it could be. 2. Menus are a hot mess. A picture menu which you use to then go back to the text menu. Too many selections and way too complicated. I strongly suggest removing 2/3rds of the items. 3. Make the menu single order rather than duo or larger group. Why force everyone to the same thing? 4. Fries are great. Suggest at least adding minimal salt. Rice was not stick and good. 5. Servers need to stand away from guests. It feels oppressive. 6. We had the filet parm with cream sauce. Tasty but it seems more seasoning of the beef would help. Also let the meat rest before presenting. The blood oozing out doesn't help visual appeal. 7. Empanadas were delicious but 6 for $19 is extravagantly overpriced. Again, some tweaking could do wonders. Sadly it is unlikely I'll return. read more

Brazilian food with traditional seasoning, and many drinks choose. If you want to try the Caipirinha I would definitely recommend you to check about the happy hour option since it's impossible to have just one. For food I recommend the entree of Pastéis and the main dish you won't regret asking for Picanha steaks with rice and beans, you will have a great Brazilian experience in this place. read more
