My friend recommended this cute cafe when I was staying in the area this spring. It's crazy I used to live in the area and had never been here before. I love the decor it was very quirky and colorful. Pink walls with stickers and posters covering every inch. Different style tables and chairs gave it a very eccentric and fun hangout vibe. The service was great and everything came out really quick and the prices were also very reasonable. I ordered the French toast with scrambled eggs and bacon and everything was absolutely delicious. I will definitely be back when I visit Seattle again.

We were in the area and wanted brunch, so we found a highly rated spot nearby (Both Ways Cafe) and were unfortunately disappointed. Service was pretty inattentive, took a while to take our orders and seemed like they wanted us to hurry up. They also never came by to refill waters while they were chatty with other customers. Favoritism to regulars is fine, but when at the expense of other customers, I'd say the business isn't very welcoming. Omelette - was very underwhelmed. Everything was pulling water from my mouth, so I sipped water after every bite. I guess that helps me feel full, but I was shocked. The potatoes were seasoned well, with a nice saltiness, but were dry. Most biscuits are already dry, but I felt like the biscuit here was somehow drier and had nothing to pair with. Biscuits and gravy exists for a reason, so the added biscuit seems flawed to begin with. I enjoyed the random assortment of fruits, but nothing special. The omelette itself was okay, but followed the same common theme of being more dry than expected.

This cafe has been a fun spot to treat ourselves to a great breakfast these last few years- they have lunch all day too but I gravitate towards biscuits and gravy like a crazy person. Anyhoo this is my fav biscuits and gravy in Seattle. I think based on this latest visit the gravy recipe has changed a little this time (different level of seasoning) but while it's different it's still very good. You know what hasn't changed tho? The amazing incredible biscuits- TALL AS A MAN I'd say, a good crust on the outside while still soft on the inside. Even if you aren't getting biscuits and gravy you really should substitute your toast with the biscuit. Food is most important to me but the charming decor and dining room makes it feel really special and personal. The service is friendly and fast, willing to answer questions about the menu, and focused on making sure you have everything you want/need even on your way out. anyway- BISCUITS! Get some!

Came here on a Saturday for brunch, and it was super packed! Since it was a pretty cold day, most people opted to sit inside. I came with a fairly large party of 6, but what was originally estimated to be a 30 min wait tuned into a 1-1.5 hour wait :/ Upon finally getting seated, I ordered the biscuits and gravy with 2 eggs. The wait for the food was super long as well, taking well over half an hour, probably over an hour. The food, upon being served, was unfortunately not really worth the wait either. The gravy on the biscuits was quite under seasoned, with everyone at our table feeling the need to sprinkle copious amounts of salt on it, and the biscuits were super dense. The eggs were done nicely though, so that's a plus. Overall, I won't be coming back here again, if I wanted to wait so long for food I'd be better off driving somewhere else.

Delicious brunch at Both Ways Cafe! And the prices were reasonable. Get there early as it will fill up quickly.

The service was spotty and weird. I thought "disaffected PacNW service" had come and gone, but I was wrong. When we put our names in we asked if we could have coffee while we waited...were were told that they were too busy for it that? Then, as we were waiting, other folks that had put their names in were sipping on coffee? What the heck? Luckily the food, and especially the ambiance, were great! Everything came out fresh and looked like it was probably made from scratch.

Food was good, & that's it. Waited for outside seating because I had the pup, no problem. It is right by the road. Got seated at a dirty table - not wiped at all. For dog friendly? The water bowls outside are disgusting and don't look like they've been changed all week. I bring my own anyway. I ordered an iced tea, small glass which is fine but wasn't offered a refill once. Service meh, ambiance inside I have no idea.

    Big ole biscuits!

For coffee, they have all the classics as well as some seasonal specials with in-house made syrups. Everything we ordered was delicious that we actually ended up getting 2 lattes while we were there. Apart from the food and drinks, they also have a plethora of local artwork for sale, paintings displayed on the walls, glasswork and ceramics at the windows, and tie dyed shirts made by the owner himself, plus more. They also sell pokemon cards and run an actual Play! Pokemon league. It runs every Saturday from noon to 4 PM and is run by the owner himself. It's a great place for both newbies and kids trying to get into pokemon and seasoned veterans alike. You even get discounted coffee during the pokemon session! The owner himself is a very personable guy and is very knowledgeable all about his products, and is always happy to chat about coffee, art, or Pokemon. The space is nice and clean, with a section of cute giftable items that were very tempting. My coffee was delicious. Not overly sweet which I was relieved about because I normally do half sweet but I forgot to request that. Still was yum & not too sugary! It was perfect with oat milk. 1 star off because as others have mentioned, customer service could be better. The barista taking my order seemed a little impatient or bored (Gen Z vibes). The cashier was nice at least! It's also unclear where people should line up/order. The person in front of me was confused and the person behind me was as well. Might need to rearrange their counter set up or add signage.

They let me know that the London fog comes as a concentrate and offered to use slightly less concentrate so that it wouldn't be too sweet with the additional syrup. I was a little skeptical of the fact that they make it from a concentrate because. I feel like a London fog is hard to mess up if you know how to brew tea, but I decided to try it anyway, and I was pleasantly surprised. While it didn't have a strong earl grey flavor, the drink was delicious and still tasted like a London fog and the lavender pear syrup was lovely. It has plenty of seating and is a great place to work from with a decent amount of outlets. Super friendly staff and I loved the dine in mug.

I noticed that they now pour drinks from a pre-made plastic jug instead of making them fresh like when the store first opened. I usually don't get sick from drinking coffee but twice in a row is pretty bad. Their drinks are also overly sweet and most of them do not have a 0% sweet option, which is usually what I order from other coffee and tea shops, and it's probably because most of the ingredients are pre-mixed. They also use thick plastic cups, considering that Seattle is a pretty green city and a lot of similar Vietnamese coffee shops use sustainable cups. Sad to say, but my time visiting this chain has come to an end.
