    Biscuit & Gravy
    Ryan T.

This cafe has been a fun spot to treat ourselves to a great breakfast these last few years- they have lunch all day too but I gravitate towards biscuits and gravy like a crazy person. Anyhoo this is my fav biscuits and gravy in Seattle. I think based on this latest visit the gravy recipe has changed a little this time (different level of seasoning) but while it's different it's still very good. You know what hasn't changed tho? The amazing incredible biscuits- TALL AS A MAN I'd say, a good crust on the outside while still soft on the inside. Even if you aren't getting biscuits and gravy you really should substitute your toast with the biscuit. Food is most important to me but the charming decor and dining room makes it feel really special and personal. The service is friendly and fast, willing to answer questions about the menu, and focused on making sure you have everything you want/need even on your way out. anyway- BISCUITS! Get some!

Came here on a Saturday for brunch, and it was super packed! Since it was a pretty cold day, most people opted to sit inside. I came with a fairly large party of 6, but what was originally estimated to be a 30 min wait tuned into a 1-1.5 hour wait :/ Upon finally getting seated, I ordered the biscuits and gravy with 2 eggs. The wait for the food was super long as well, taking well over half an hour, probably over an hour. The food, upon being served, was unfortunately not really worth the wait either. The gravy on the biscuits was quite under seasoned, with everyone at our table feeling the need to sprinkle copious amounts of salt on it, and the biscuits were super dense. The eggs were done nicely though, so that's a plus. Overall, I won't be coming back here again, if I wanted to wait so long for food I'd be better off driving somewhere else.

Delicious brunch at Both Ways Cafe! And the prices were reasonable. Get there early as it will fill up quickly.

The service was spotty and weird. I thought "disaffected PacNW service" had come and gone, but I was wrong. When we put our names in we asked if we could have coffee while we waited...were were told that they were too busy for it that? Then, as we were waiting, other folks that had put their names in were sipping on coffee? What the heck? Luckily the food, and especially the ambiance, were great! Everything came out fresh and looked like it was probably made from scratch.

Food was good, & that's it. Waited for outside seating because I had the pup, no problem. It is right by the road. Got seated at a dirty table - not wiped at all. For dog friendly? The water bowls outside are disgusting and don't look like they've been changed all week. I bring my own anyway. I ordered an iced tea, small glass which is fine but wasn't offered a refill once. Service meh, ambiance inside I have no idea.

This has been the only time I've ever been here, but we loved it so much, that I have to mention it! We got there, shortly after the breakfast rush and before the lunch peeps started rolling in. It's a small little spot with about the same amount of seats outside, as there are inside. Tons of neighborhood folks roll in and out of here, so that's the first good sign, another was that people were willing to sit outside, in the CHILLY NW weather, to enjoy a meal there! I don't blame them, because the location is cozy, the service is straight to the point, but also loving, at the same time AND.....the food was insane y'all! The potatoes and biscuits! Oh...myyy!!!

My first visit here. The place is almost like Sanford and Son inside, so I was a tad apprehensive. The breakfast sandwich without tomato was slamming! For my taste, I added Tapitio and their house Jelly, which was great by the way. The side of grits were good too.

They served the coffees with a little shortbread cookie, and these little details really elevated the whole experience. Also, the cappuccino was so foamy, and it hit the spot immediately. The breakfast menu was also fantastic. The TPC Breakfast plate included sausage, potatoes, bacon, bread, and some scrambled eggs. There also was an option to add Beecher's cheese on the eggs, and I'd say it was totally worth it. Most importantly, the Dutch baby was as good as they'd advertised. It comes out on a piping hot skillet which kept the dessert warm till the end of the meal. The service was very quick even though they were entirely booked out for the time we were there for. I appreciated the patience from the servers and their helpful directions in picking the menu items. I will warn you that we had to reserve our spot months in advance. This is probably because the restaurant is great but pretty limited in seating space. However, it was definitely worth the wait, so don't be discouraged. I highly recommend trying it out at least once. All in all, highly recommend! Please go try Tilikum Place Cafe!

As soon as you walk in, you're immersed in a cute café filled with greenery and plants everywhere, which adds to the fun, cozy vibe. It does get pretty packed on the weekends. The coffee was perfectly creamy and smooth without being too sweet. The food was good, nothing that particularly stood out but I'd still come back. Next time I'd probably try the breakfast board since that seems to be a favorite. I ordered the Pork N' Bitch, which came with biscuits as the base, smothered in sausage gravy and topped with plenty of shredded cheese and bacon bits. The portion was huge and enough to feed two people. I only managed to eat half, and it kept me full for about eight hours. This is definitely a heavy and hearty meal. As for the taste, it was delicious and very savory. The biscuit was soft, and the bacon bits added a nice crispy texture. My only complaint is that I wish there had been more gravy. I also didn't really taste any sausage in the gravy. I was expecting more of a traditional Southern-style sausage gravy, but the flavor was a bit different from what I'm used to. This is more of a take out spot, as there isn't any indoor dining. Fortunately, it's located near the Pike's Marketplace, so I recommend taking your food for a walk toward the waterfront and finding a nice place to enjoy your meal. One funny thing was that I was expecting the person taking my order to greet me with, "Good morning, bitch! What can I get you?" Instead, he called me "sweetheart." LOL. Maybe he could tell I wasn't a local.
