The service was good but the best part was the owner Sam. She was frosting gf cupcakes for a catering job and overheard my table chatting about me being gluten free. (It was tough seeing all the treats behind the counter.) She asked me about my reasons for being gluten free (family with celiac disease) and then mentioned she was considering adding gf baked goods. After our breakfast arrived she gave me one of the gf cupcakes she was frosting. How cool is that? And it was really good! The breakfast was really, really good too. Okay experience here. Stopped in on Saturday around 11:40 for brunch and we waited a bit for a table. The restaurant was slowing down, so we didn't anticipate a long wait. We were seated within 5-10 mins at the community table. My friend ordered an americano upon sitting. After about 15mins, her drink still hasn't come so she ended asking a passing waiter for a coffee. Our food finally arrived another 10 minutes later. My biscuit and gravy (and eggs) were super bland and the biscuit was hard. I wasn't super impressed. Then two checks were dropped off from two different servers, one had the americano that never came and the other didn't. I wouldn't come back just because food was subpar. read more

Staff were so friendly and it's such a perfect place for brekkie/brunch/lunch as it's not super crowded and has a homey atmosphere. But let's talk about their FOOD, because their BISCUITS are out of this world!! That was what impressed me the most and I'd come back just to eat another one! Most of their menu items come with a biscuit-- We got their Denver Omelette which came with a biscuit and homestyle fries (also so crispy and flavorful)! We also got their biscuits and gravy which was also tasty but just missing a tad something (maybe more pepper) - nothing a little Cholula hot sauce can't fix. Treated dad to Father's Day brunch this morning. Located at the intersection of Genesee and 50th next to Flying Squirrel Pizza. Our first time here lucky for us it was just us two, we were able to grab a couple of counter seats near the window while others in larger parties had to wait awhile. You'll need to go up to the counter when you first arrive so they can get you on the wait list. Dad had the egg breakfast with bacon, eggs over easy it came with potatoes and choice of toast or biscuit. Had to go with the biscuit of course. I had the havarti spinach scramble with biscuit as well. Friendly service and generous servings. Eggs were cooked well lots of fresh spinach and havarti in mine. Dad's two eggs came with three slices of bacon. Freezer blueberry jam on the table for your biscuit. Was nice to try a place we hadn't been to in the south end. We were in the Seattle area and needed a quick breakfast. So glad we found this spot, I live trying new breakfast spots! We ordered the French toast and kids French toast. Usually my 12 year old can eat a kids meal and be good but their kids meal is a little small bit still delicious. The French was really good and the bacon! When you walk in to order you see these Huge cookies so we had to order some ToGo! We ordered oatmeal, snickerdoodle, peanut butter and a chocolate chip. One of the best cookies I've ever had.... soft, chewy and most importantly fresh. I can't wait to go back for some more baked goods!! Firstly I'm very picky about what goes in my omelet and I wasn't given any trouble at all when I asked to make some swaps. The omelet came out perfectly - exactly as ordered, huge and tasty! The home fries were well seasoned but kind of soft. I prefer my potAtoes with a a crisp so didn't each much of this. Dat biscuit doe! So freaking good. Agree with other reviewers that it has a subtle sweetness to it and is made even better when marmalade and butter is added. Legit might be my fave biscuit in all of seattle. This place is a hidden gem in Seattle. My family and I went for brunch during the weekday and it wasn't to busy. We had the Northwest Scramble, French Toast and Hungarian Stew. The stew was delicious. It took me back to my childhood! The French Toast was made with bread that they make in house and the Northwest Scramble was amazing. Yes, we could've/should've given them the boot, but we were in a good mood despite their pompous behavior. Friend and I both had the home fries with bacon and eggs, which comes with salsa, cheese, sour cream and avocado, and split a biscuit between us. Talk about a winner; the plate came out piping hot, with the potatoes, bacon and eggs cooked perfectly. This was a fantastic stick to your ribs brekkie. I went to this joint during the Covid-19 lockdown. They had a table at the front door so no one could get in. The lady who took my order seemed friendly. I ordered the Chicken Curry Salad Sandwich. The bread was very hard. Where I'm from the sandwiches are served with warm slices of bread. I would consider their bread stale, unchewable. The sandwich fell apart very easily. I really wished they could have given me utensils and a napkin or maybe 2-3 napkins. I actually just ate the "chicken" part. It was very bland, low-sodium diabetic approved. the sandwich came with a side of couscous and a side of fresh fruit, and like I said earlier, They didn't give me utensils. Did they think about the full customer experience? I would have to say no. They did not have a glass screen like those you see at the check out line in grocery stores. The chicken curry salad sandwich might survive the next sandwich if they add a little bit of Mayo or a binding ingredient so it doesn't fall apart.
