Whole fresh fish with plantain. Absolutely delicious
    Mary M.

I had dinner here last week. Mixed reviews but there is new ownership! I ordered the fresh fish of the day caught that morning. Soooo delicious and perfectly cooked! It was not greasy although it was fried. Very very well done and plantains too. Fantastic wine selection as well. Muchas gracias!

Iberian pork loin with garlic fries at Bottles (Guaynabo, PR)

Came to this fine food establishment in the San Patricio Zone (Guaynabo) in Puerto Rico. An extensive wine list (you can pick your own wine) and a fantastically good selection with incredible portions makes this a memorable occasion. Highlights of the dishes we ordered were the "presa iberica" (Iberian pork loin) with garlic Parmesan fries and the Thai-style pork belly with "panapen" (breadfruit) tostones. Also great expresso to finish our meal (and these are only appetizers)!

I have to say this is one of the best restaurants I have eaten at, and I have been all over the word! This place is awesome, no other words. Service is a 10, food is a 10! Just come it's amazing.

Another excellent and filling meal here at Bottles. This time we came for lunch. It had been years I'd had lunch here. Their sandwiches are excellent. This time I tried the roast beef sandwich. It came with chips and coleslaw. Very good and very meaty. I also had the French onion soup. I will say this is the best French onion soup I've ever had. It came with a side of onion rings and a mini turkey sandwich. Afterwards, I went into a food coma. Well worth it.

First time having there dessert. Honestly, we are always stuffed there is never room. This time we were full but I wanted to try the chocolate cake. It came with vanilla ice cream. Inside the ice cream were pieces of ginger cookies. These people know what they are doing. That is why Bottles has become my favorite restaurant in PR tied with El Chotis.

Had a work trip in Puerto Rico. Although we went to dinner multiple nights, this was my favorite dinner. Had over 10 people at the table. Service was amazing. We did order many bottles of wine over 100/$150...(courtesy of the CEO!) The food literally was to die for. We ordered obviously a ton of food for our big party, look at the pictures below. My absolute favorite (which is unusual) was the gnocchi. OMG I swear it had some addictive substance on it. Loved Puerto Rico overall and Bottles made it amazing even more. Thank you for the great service and food!

Bottles has really solid food and ridiculously (almost comically) large portions. As the name implies, they also have an extensive wine selection. Everything that I ate, I enjoyed. However, I shared one appetizer, one main and one dessert with my friend and the two of us couldn't finish anything. We took home some of the appetizer, main and dessert. The service was friendly and our waitress was able to help recommend what to order. It was a leisurely, long, dinner but they do have a time limit for tables. Valet parking is also available.

This place never disappoints. Big portions, tasty apps, great ingredients, and a wonderful staff. Pick your fav bottle, order two entrées to share and make sure you enjoy your time there. The truffle pasta and poke app are insane. I don't remember having something I did not enjoyed. Even better for big celebrations. Call ahead and grab the cellar tables early. You'll not regret it.

So we found this food truck not far down the street from the DoubleTree. Their menu was not that hard to understand even for non-Spanish speakers for the most part, but then when it comes to something novel ("What is a fongo?"), the lack of an explanation and choppy English-language skills might not help very much. So after a bit of pointing and gesticulating, we ended with an artisanal burger and some fongos pollo. The food was OK - freshly prepared and quite substantial. For my taste, it relied a bit much on grease and mayonnaise. Still a decent taste of local fare - or IS it considered authentic local fare? Apparently, they are pretty big for a food truck - 5 or 6 different locations at least, depending on which truck you want!

Great service and great food, especially if you want something authentic but don't have time to stop and sit at a restaurant. I've been to PR a few times, and the quality here is honestly just as good as a small local breakfast spot, around the same price, but with that convenient on-the-go feel. I had the Salted Caramel Avocado Bistro with egg whites. They forgot my Swiss cheese, but honestly, it was still so good I wasn't even upset That's how good it was--nothing could make it bad! We also ordered the hash browns, croquetas, and bites of sorullo. My S/O had the jamón y huevo and a matcha with coconut syrup, which he said was great. Quick service even with a long drive-thru line, and the woman who took our order and brought out our food was great too. No complaints at all. Seriously, don't get discouraged by the line--JUST ORDER. It's worth it!

It came with American cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, and their Social sauce. I got it double meat and it was delicious. My wife got the BAD Burger. It had maple syrup, bacon, fried egg, hash brown, and grilled onions. It was also good, but we agreed the Social burger was better. This was a case of simpler was better. You can also build your own burger if you prefer. They don't have a kids menu so this is the best option of you have kids or picky eaters ( or the plain hot dog). My wife also got the chocolate milkshake. Damn good milkshake. I went with one of their beers. They have a nice selection of beers. The fries were also very good. Their default fries are the hand cut fries but you can also ask for curly fries, as well as sweet potato fries and onion rings. We lived in LA for some years, so when we saw they had Animal Style Fries, we ordered them. It's their take on In-N-Out's animal style fries. They were excellent. Portion sizes for the fries are big. The animal style fries were good for 2-3 people. Even the small fries we got for our son was big. We will definitely be repeat customers. I also learned they recently opened a second location in Condado.

The burger meat itself was a bit of a miss taste wise. I can't say exactly what it is, but it just didn't feel like it tasted right. Also, the mushrooms were not entirely cooked through and tasted funky. Not a place I would go to again, as nice and trendy as it looks.
