Yes I'm going with 5 Stars. It was our first night in Dorado and while on our way to our hotel we decided to eat first so we could just relax when we got to the hotel. Ok, KGB? Interesting name for a restaurant. First thing that comes to mind is the Russian KGB, or Russian Police. Not true KGB = Kitchen Garden Cafe, and it lives up to its name. I had the Portuguese Steak, which was very good. Wife had a fish dish which is unusual for her. The owner was going from table to table and spent quite a bit of time with us, explaining the name and history of the restaurant. It turns out they serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We really enjoyed it and almost went back for breakfast one day but just didn't have the time. Just a note, it's local in a retail strip center and could be deceiving but believe me it's worth a second look. I know you'll enjoy it, and of course the food. read more

Don't let the strip mall scare you! Great local spot with yummy Puerto Rico food. This is where the locals go and I highly recommend! I had a lunch meeting here and it wasn't too loud. The service was great. The food was amazing! Not being a local, we ordered most of the appetizers, the guava cheese dish is out of this world! For lunch, I ordered a local dish, mofungo (spelling?). It was fantastic! Comes with a plantain mash and protein of your choice. I went with the steak. We didn't have anything but water, but the restaurant has a wonderful wine selection. read more

This is a great place, I five (5) star restaurant tucked away in a strip center. I have been here twice and both times food and service was amazing. They have a great wine selection, as well drinks to order. I had an Asian bowl this time and the steak in it was tender and flavorful. When my sister first suggested to go there, I was hesitant. I have been there before, years ago and I hadn't been impressed. I am delighted to say, I was in for a wonderful experience in service and in food. Luis gave us attention as if we were his only guests. His suggestions were right on every time. We had great appetizers and my ribeye with the risotto with manchego and sweet plantain was spectacular. The pudding was for dessert was the perfect end to an amazing meal and experience. We were here for the breakfast and dinner the day we got to PR. Dinner and drinks just awesome, everything was so good. The truffle Mac and cheese was perfection in my opinion, the subtleness of the flavors just married well together. Coconut mojito one of the best I tried in PR, perfectly creamy and flavorful. We tried other drinks too which were good lol but I can't remember them now. Breakfast on the other hand was just ok. I got the French toast with Nutella on the side, but it was forgotten which is no big deal. Though the french toast was good, lacked a bit of flavor. read more

Breakfast here is delicious! The salinbocca chicken is a must, and if you love Alfredo, definitely get the pasta Unfortunately, I can't say the same with dinner. The Lamb Burger is spectacular, but the Eggplant parm, risotto with squid ink, and halibut were all bad. The Eggplant parm was way too firm. The risotto was just weird. This place is awesome, I would say the dinner menu is the best, their filet is excellent, as is their truffle macaroni and cheese. Great wine list and drinks. Lunch is also super good but I have not tried them for breakfast. Service is very good, the employees are nice and friendly. Prices are on the higher side but we'll worth it for special occasions, business meals etc. They have a "bar" section with VIP seating which is nice and comfortable. Burrata / heirloom tomato salad did not have heirloom tomatoes and the burrata was more of a fresh mozzarella. Eggplant Parmesan dish was tasteless, eggplant cut way to thick and not cooked enough. Very disappointing. Rigatoni Blush sauce was good but very small portion. Ordered veal saltimbocca was told not available and got chicken instead and it was thick and dry.
