The other bartender never talked to me until she forced me to close out my check just because her shift was over. She wouldn't give me back my ID or card because she wanted to make sure she got a tip first. Listen honey, the reason why you put me in this position in the first place is because you suck, you know it, and you correctly automatically assumed I wasn't going to tip you well. It's not that I am cheap (believe that). I just have this habit of actually wanting to pay well for the service you absolutely forgot to provide. Let's start at the beginning. The first thing I experience is a parking lot so small and backed up, a rookie cop somewhere in the United States is sensing an easy picking for meeting their quota on DUI arrests for the month. I think I counted something like 3 accidents I avoided in five minutes of finding a decent spot. Second, I come in, completely sober and observant, mind you, to see the "best" this bar has to offer. That was my first mistake. That's because I can fully observe and realize the sensation of gingerly treading around a girl so drunk (by the way, it's only eleven o-clock at the time I was there), her viscous, rancid bright pink vomit creating a slimy trail leading to what I can only describe as a cesspool of crowded, staggering drunk patrons bumping into you and generally wanting to fight you every square inch of the way. This is the closest to a real life bad guy bar I have ever had the displeasure to encounter. The only thing missing was The Joker and The Riddler planning their next heist on how to screw Batman and Superman over. And you know what? I'm tolerant. I could let all of this pass because I don't make judgments until something truly offends me. And you know what truly offends me? Security guards who think they're hard because they think screaming at sober, first time patrons is the best way to deter unwanted behaviors and activity. So here's the thing, incompetent security guard. Just to warn others and, you know, call you out: you're the pale, wavy haired blond guy with about 300 pounds on your maybe 5 foot 8 (max) frame. Follow? Good. Let's walk through this together, okay? I'm in a crowded area, right? I'm not feeling this place and I want to make my exit without much fuss. There's a clearly marked door that says EXIT. I check for a sensor. There is no sensor. I push to test the door, right? It doesn't open. You follow, so far? Excellent. Now, answer me this. How is "NUH UH DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT!" and then bum rushing me any in the least helpful to my genuine attempts to escape the terrible establishment you're so adamant in protecting? Please reconsider your career as a security guard, friend. I suggest a job where screaming at people is acceptable. Good luck with that, by the way. So, do I really have to say it? Yes, I do. I politely asked the bar tender what drinks she could make with tequila she offered tequila sunrise or a tequila with orange and pineapple I choose the tequila with pineapple and added a splash of Sprite.. The bar tender brings me Bacardi gold pineapple and Sprite? I love this place. I come here with my friends and the service is great ( then again we're regulars) lol They have an outdoor smoking patio. Plenty of seating. It has a full stocked bar. They have quite a few beers on tap. The drinks are hooked up. They have A huge lot for parking. Weekends, there are about 3 to 4 bartenders and a waitress or two. I suggest u try it out urself. I arrived around 10:00PM and there was like 6 total people in the bar not including my friends. I really enjoyed the music so we decided to stay and have a few drinks. The bartenders were nice and entertaining so it made our stay much better than the previous bar we had just come from. Went tonight on Friday 8/28. This is why its a three and not a 4, or five. There is a bar, liqour store and hangout spot in belflower, Longbeach and lakewood almost every quarter mile. This is not a bad establishment, it's just being run poorly, the cocktails are really strong, and being over poored and not charged correctly. The music is way too loud, so loud I couldn't stay for more than 20 min. Bc my ears were bothering me. The patio was dirty, dusty and grimmy, as well as the entire bar. The men's restroom needs help fast, it smelled like week old dirty locker room mixed with vomit. The guy bartender was Punctual and service driven, as for the rest of the staff they didn't seem to friendly or motivated to be there. Mid week, Wednesday, not much crackin', Mickey (DJ Queen Latina Angie) always broadcast texts when Angie is at Bottom's Up, but since I see her on the weekends at Wardlow, I figured swing by mid week and avoid the weekend crowd. Good thing there's white lights lining the roof, or I'd driven right on by. Plenty of parking in the street and adjoining lot for patrons and renters in the nearby complex. The place is small, probably can't seat more than 50 on the bar, booths, stools lining the walls and outside in a covered and closed off smoking patio (32 gauge wire mesh is also a nice touch). Bartenders are incredible hot, drink prices were in market. You want a draft beer, you're ordering a pitcher. I had my usual Michelob Ultra and Jameson for $8.50. Didn't see a lot of mixed drinks, but might've just been a beer-drinking crowd that night. Karaoke was average. Walter does have a nice set up that eliminated the need for song slips or song numbers, just find a song in one of the several books (that are painfully arranged alphabetically, the A-D book, E-K book...really annoying). Flat screen TVs lined the walls but the sound was really hit or miss, depending on the song. In my case, it was a big miss; whatever you do, don't sing "Aerials" by SotD as the arrangement had lead vocals. Also, the music was on 'high' and my mic on 'low' with waaaay to much bass. I thought I sounded like crap, mostly from any reaction from the audience, but they weren't responsive to anyone else either. Probably a fine place to go with friends, but I just wasn't feeling it or getting any kind of a vibe here. Also goes against my rule of "if you have to drive for more than 20 minutes to get to a bar, find someplace closer." I might be back when Angie's working, but I dunno yet...3 stars mostly for impartiality, hot bartenders and ample parking. read more

My brother and I stopped by after seeing the good reviews and was sorely disappointed. It was still early on a Saturday night but there was no seating. Half the tables against the wall were dirty from the previous customers and nobody bothered to clean up. The two bartenders were very pretty but we stood at the end of the bar for close to 10 minutes before one of them finally came over to find out what we wanted to drink. We shot a couple of games of pool and left. It's not that it wasn't an unpleasant atmosphere, Quite Contrary. The music was fine and people seemed to be happy. This is a good local bar to unwind and meet up with friends. Huge parking lot and also street parking. It's a typical dive bar, nothing special. A single pool table bar the entrance. There's a few tv's to keep up with different sporting events. Patio/smoking area also has a tv. Entrance to the bathrooms can be found in the patio area. The guys bathroom does not have a lock so keep that in mind. The place holds special events through out the year and info can be found on flyers or if you follow them on social media. They usually have karaoke at night as well. All in all a chill spot to grab a beer or throw back a few shots. read more
