Fun little dive bar. Has a pool table and you can play darts too. Cash only under 20 bucks. Getting there - There is a front entrance on the street that Waze takes you to and also a back entrance that has a small parking lot they maps takes you to. read more

I won't ever return to this bar. Courtesy is so racist and rude ass hell, she gave us mad looks when we walked in. she took her sweet time to make our drinks The bar wasn't even busy at all no excuse. I asked for the Manager to make accomplaint on her and said he comes at 11:30. When goes back to bar she tells her coacasion friends that were sitting there that I had ask for a manager lol, she has no customer service. That was my first time going with my two other friends on Wednesday. We had two drinks each on top of that we left here good tip in CASH. We should of left her "SHIT" that's what she really deserves. She shouldn't be working there if doesn't like her job. read more

Girl Bartender with tattoos is inconsiderate and worst bartender I've ever dealt with , first she demands a tip just go order a beer , then I tip her 8$ for two beers & she claims I left my tab open and I still owe her money when I closed it initially. they need to do better. I tried ordering 2 beers for $12, the bartender said it's a minimum $20 for credit card, then I said make it 3, she said that's only $18. I told her just to charge me $20 for the 3, she said we can't do that. So I told her just get me 4 beers then she decided to charge me $30, rather than $24? Cool bar. Plenty of parking, specifically in the back. There's a pool table and dart area. Few small TVs. No food and no issues bringing in your own. I have to say though, what makes this bar great is Nikki. She is THE BEST (and she's beautiful)! If you want a shot and don't know what to take, she'll whip up something easy and likeable for everyone. She has great flow to make sure all guests have full drinks in front of them. Came to have a good time everything was fine until NICOLE (bartender) on Saturday decided SHE didn't want to hear certain jukebox songs that I selected and she was disrespectful and nasty about it! She said basically to go F*** ourselves .... I mean she's the bartender this isn't about HER! We paid our money to hear music and get drinks what gives her the right to change it only because SHE has an issue with those 2 songs! Btw the songs are feel good songs (Willie Nelson and Johnny Cash) ... avoid Saturday's if Nicole is at the bar!! She is nasty and doesn't present any type of customer service! read more

I was just looking at all the negative reviews people leave. I've been coming to this bar for almost 10 years, I have been coming more often as a regular for 2 years. I know the owners and all the bartenders, and all the regulars. After reading all the reviews about racism, I'm Mexican, and I see a lot of Asian people, black people, and Mexican people, and nobody gives a shit about skin color. Sometimes people come in with bad attitudes and play dumb to try to get free drinks and or are being rude to other people and when the bartender calls them out on their bullshit they try to play the racist card. I've witnessed it with my own eyes and ears. If you treat people the way you want them to treat you, you'll love this place. If you come here being an asshole to everyone, you're gonna have a bad time. read more

I was out there this last weekend bartender had a nasty attitude but that wasn't it. They have this TouchTunes radio we're you pay to play music of your choice. I had choose a few songs Spanish music and notice that my songs were getting skipped so I went and complained to the bartender which was the one changing my music and still had a nasty attitude and told me that the owner didn't like my music If I had problems to leave. Then I confronted the owner about and he started being racist saying "we are in US we listen to English music here" " you're making all my clients leave" bar was empty btw... read more

Went to Hideaway and was shocked at how rude Courtney was! She should be fired immediately! It was service with a growl , she gave us attitude because we didn't know the so called hideaway rules. We came for a drink and Courtney gave us attitude from the second we walked in. She's rude, disgusting to look at (mix in a salad once in a while bit*h) Someone needs to let her know, its customers like us that make her job even exist. Shame on the hideaway for employing such a repulsive person - I've literally stepped over better to get into much better establishments. read more

I won't ever return to this bar, it was the first time I ever experienced racial profiling and racism! The Caucasian tall white bartender threw ice at my face because she assumed I was not paying for my drinks but as I confronted her I reminded her that I had tab open and she had my credit card. It was my 3rd time asking for drinks and idk what got into her to throw ice at my face? I was the one of the only Hispanics in there so that's why I feel I was racial profiled she thought I was trying to get free drinks. I won't ever return. read more

MOST RACIST DISRESPECTFUL SERVICE !!!!! The bartender Courtney had horrible attitude and hygiene. Never going back! She was really sweaty and drips of her sweat kept falling into drinks. She serves the people of color last, and always skips any music that is not country. It was very uncomfortable being around her she is not friendly what so ever! I don't live far from this bar and it would be great to have a cool dive bar walking distance. My advice, keep on walking. There are better bars you can go to. The last time I was there it looked like the whole place was full of Meth heads. It was hard to sit back and enjoy my drink with all the twitching going on. This place has a bad vibe. read more

This bar is a racists bar. I recently moved to the area, and went out with a friend to find my new local dive bar. We got a bad vibe once we walked in. After being there for about two hours I decided to invite another friend, once he arrived he noticed the bad vibes also. 30 minutes later someone started to play songs with the N word, and racists lyrics. At that point we decided to leave. We went to another bar called Boomers down the street, and had a great time. read more

Love The Hideaway. None of those fancy guns that dispense tonic water, club soda, etc. We get 2litre bottles. And I am more than okay with this. They pour them heavy, charge them light, and serve with a smile. You must know ahead of time. This is purely a drinking establishment. I've seen drunken hookups, fisticuffs, and injuries occur here. What makes this place special to me personally is the purity in it. A very mixed crowd, with a very mixed selection of music from the jukebox, but we're all here for the same reason. We want to get drunk and enjoy ourselves. Period. End-o-story. I don't think I've ever not surpassed my drinking limit here, at least just a little bit. Not much in the area of atmosphere or flair, but damnit, it's always a good time. Not for the weekend warrior, or the type that goes to "da cluuub." This is some Bukowski shit going on here. And I love it. And I have to retract my previous statement about the restrooms and general state of cleanliness here. I was just there two nights ago and they now have a health code grade of "A" Restrooms are totally redone and even smell slightly pleasant, opposed to downright intolerable in the past. The fact that they've made the effort and investment to clean up a bit makes me enjoy the place even more. By the way, the fuzz were posted up in the back parking lot trying to catch some drunk drivers. So the owner, Larry I believe is his name, kept the place open longer to allow for his customers to sober up a bit. Thanks Waylon Jennings! I wanna catch the wednesday night jam session. read more

I'm giving the Hideway 5 stars because it is 5 stars in my book....why? because I can walk there! No DUIs for me! This place is a total dive bar, it's really gross. I only go when my friend comes into town because she knows everyone there. Everytime we go there is a fight, usually some old chick beating on her man for one reason or another. I suggest you sit with your back to the wall and throw back shots because you need to sterilize your system in case you need to use the bathroom. Us girls go in pairs because there is a hole in the second bathroom door, so you have to hover over the seat while also pinning the side of your foot over the hole to (1) cover the hole (2) keep people from walking in because there is also no lock. If you get home without contracting "the hep" congratulations, you just survived the Hideaway. =) read more

The bar was bustling for the game which I was happy to see but upon entry, there was a gal in crutches ahead of me and I heard the door kid say they were at capacity. I checked in with him with my service dog and immediately said, we are at capacity and don't allow dogs. I let him know I have a seat waiting for me at a table, said my dog is a service dog, and simply said, "I'm sorry we're at capacity and dont allow dogs." I understand the capacity thing. So I went outside and called my friend who was inside to tell him I couldn't come in because the bar was at capacity. My guy friend came out and gave me a hug. My friend then talked to the door guy and said that door guy said, "He said he'll let you in but not your dog." I confirmed with him, "So you lied about being at capacity and are denying my service dog? Because you just told my friend you'd let me in." He tried to explained that the bar is busy and that that is how the owner runs it. I asked to speak to a manager. A manager comes out, or claims to be, saying she owned the bar, and never introduced her name. She was wearing 49ers jersey, blonde hair. I explained the situation to her and said, "you can't turn away service dogs, that's a violation. Do you understand that?" She then proceeded to explain to me that because the bar is busy and people are spilling drinks SHE does not feel comfortable having a dog in her bar. I again said, he is here for me, he is a certified service dog, and sits under the table, as my dog is just standing there. I asked, "Wouldn't that be MY call if I was comfortable if my service dog and I were in here or not?" She responded, "No, it is my bar so it's my call." She proceeded to say, "Look you can come here on a Monday with him and youll be fine. I love dogs more than I like humans, my sister has a service dog, etc. Etc." None of her banter ok's the fact that she outrightly denied entry of a patron with service dog and initially claiming to ve of capacity but lied about that as well. Horrible door experience and unfortunately I will have to report this to the DOJ as an ADA violation. This review is to document the occurrence and advise those planning to bring service dogs to be aware they will make excuses to not let you and your working animal in. For the owner, hi, just FYI businesses must allow service animals unless they pose a direct threat (in which mine did not). You violated both federal ADA and CA laws.
