Finally got around to visiting this famous spot. And we had a great time. We ordered appetizers, salad, salads, and entrées. We did not leave room for dessert, but did notice they don't sell macaron. Those are only available at the bakery. I would recommend a reservation and bringing your own wine. Although the specialty cocktails we had were great.

We had dinner here to take advantage of our Amex platinum card benefits. Dinner did not disappoint. Bread came with creamy butter and warm pistashios. Then we ordered the special with truffles and they brought the truffles out in a red box to shave fresh onto our pasta. The portion looked small but was filling. My dad was the lone exception with the steak frites that also looked good. This is a tiny spot and kinda cramped which I didn't enjoy.

For the price this was probably the worst meal I've ever had. Can you believe my steak frites looked like this? I think the photo speaks for itself. I also ordered medium rare and it was... well, the outside was super tough and the inside was cold? Very strange, not sure how they did that.

Feels like a restaurant in France with the velvety red banquets and wait staff wearing black vests and white button downs. Darker lighting. But that's part of the mood. French onion soup was tasty. Plenty of cheese. Very hot. Steak Frites was a big portion. I split it with my son and we were both stuffed. A little generous with the butter slab on top of the steak, but that's very French. Sticking with the theme. The three of us split the profiterol for dessert. Like an ice cream sandwich sundae.

My first time at Bouchon was for a 1:1 celebratory dinner on Mom's birthday on Friday, December 23, 2022. Mom had visited here years before and wanted to return. The fact that she wanted come back was an indicator that this restaurant would be a good experience as Mom has very high standards. According to Anthony Bourdain, "A bouchon is a uniquely Lyonnaise institution, a casual, laid-back kind of a pub/bistro with a limited, usually old-school menu and always, always an unpretentious vibe. People come here to unwind, to relax, and to eat with abandon." Bouchon is chef Thomas Keller's (The French Laundry) heartfelt homage to the traditional French bistro in Napa Valley's charming 1.5 square mile town of Yountville. Located across the street from V Marketplace on Washington Street, we easily found free parking in the lot adjacent to the market. The restaurant is housed in a cozy red building that sits right next door to its sibling bakery. Decorated with whites, reds and marble tones, the velvet banquette seating and polished brass accents pop out through the wood furnishings and mosaic floor design. Upon entry, we were warmly greeted and promptly seated. The place was buzzing with almost every table occupied in the tightly-seated dining room. The seasons dictate what's on offer at Bouchon. The menu features a variety of traditional French dishes that perfectly highlight the essence of bistro dining. Upon seating, we were served a complimentary ramekin of pistachios alongside some butter and pain d'épi, the classic "stalk of wheat" variation on the classic baguette. Below are what we ordered: Escargots de Bourgogne ($19.75) - Six Burgundy snails cooked in parsley-garlic butter, each topped with Bouchon Bakery's puff pastry, were all absolute perfection, as expected. Soupe à l'Oignon ($19.75) - A true test of a French bistro is its French onion soup, and Bouchon's comforting, piping hot bowl of caramelized sweet onions, savoury beef jus, topped with country bread and melted Comté cheese, did not disappoint. Served in a proper vessel? Yes. Baked with a toasted baguette slice and ooey, gooey cheese topper? Check. The flavour of the soup base was also richly robust. I couldn't decide between the Saumon Poêlé ($38.00) and the Steak Frites ($47.50). Since our waiter said that I could have a side of the sauce au poivre from the Poitrine de Boeuf au Poivre ($45.00) with the Steak Frites, I had to go this route as it's one of my favourites. No regrets at all on my choice; I savoured every bite of the delicious pan-seared prime flat iron steak topped with maitre d'hôtel butter and side of crispy French fries. The additional sauce au poivre was the cherry on top. Steak Frites truly is the quintessential bistro entrée and Bouchon's was excellent. Service was great. As a sweet birthday gift, Mom was given a pack of chocolate brownies, served on a plate alongside a lit candle to blow and make a wish. Dinner was remarkable. I'm not surprised that Mom chose to return here for her birthday dinner. I loved Bouchon so much that it's now my favourite restaurant in Napa Valley. Yes, I was able to decide this from my first visit. I most definitely will return. It's a must!

Took a short ride over to Yountville for lunch at Bouchon and lucked out with a beautiful day to sit outside. We started with the steak tartare, which was one of the best I've had in a while. Fresh, well-balanced, and packed with flavor. For lunch we went with the Croque Madame special with truffle fries and the gnocchi à la Parisienne. The Croque Madame was rich and satisfying, with a perfectly runny egg on top. And who doesn't love a pile of fries with little specks of truffle on them? The gnocchi was light and pillowy, served with peas, leeks, morel mushrooms, and a caramelized onion emulsion. The morels added a nice earthy depth to the dish. The sauce was just a touch salty for my taste, but if it had been dialed back a bit, this dish would have absolutely blown me away. The bread and butter way too easy to keep eating. They also have a great wine selection, and the service was friendly and attentive throughout the meal. Enjoyed our lunch on a wine tasting Sunday!

Amazing French cuisine & lives up to the hype in my opinion! We had Friday night dinner reservations inside and it was very busy. Ambiance was perfect and service was quick and professional. We were celebrating our anniversary and they gave us complimentary champagne and a little handwritten card which was so thoughtful! We ordered the Escargot, 10/10 must try!! So buttery, herby and the puff pastry on top is such a great addition. The mussels come with French fries and are soaked in a white wine bath with the perfect amount of acidity. The fries are simple. House bread and butter and perfect to dip into all these sauces. The chicken was so juicy, cooked perfectly, over a bed of peas and gravy. Delicious and also a generous portion. For dessert the lemon tart was divine! Huge slice much bigger than expected. The hazelnut ice cream was also good but the lemon tart stole the show. We were absolutely stuffed after all this food!

We were able to make last minute reservations on Rest for Bouchon for lunch. They have about 10 parking stalls next to the restaurant or you can easily park across the street in the other parking lot. Service here is Top notch everyone was very professional and friendly. Its an amazing touch that our server spoke French. Great place for families, girls dining or date place. Interior seating is a little tight because it was busy but a great place to people watch. They had 3 types of oysters on special and we got the Kumamotos. They were delicious and fresh. We also had the steak frites and escargot, and cream brulee for dessert. Everything was delicious the steak was cooked perfectly and served with a generous portion of fries. The escargot has a pastry top and it was delicious as well perfect amount of garlic and butter. Overall great dining experience in Yountville.

This was our final meal spot for my birthday weekend in Yountville @Bouchon. We were both pleasantly surprised at the quality & portion size of our meal. Very happy we shared the meal. The Crevettes, aka Jumbo Prawns, we fresh and tasty. The salad was a meal in itself, delicious chunks of bacon lardons (pork belly) yumminess & the right amount of vinaigrette. The Steak Frites was cooked just right, a nice medium-rare and savory buttery on top. Frites were crispy, not overcooked and a nice compliment to the meal. Very nice way to end a great weekend away.

First time here and can't wait to go back! Yountville was such a cute town! My first time in Napa for work/pleasure. We had some time to shop around before heading back to Napa. I couldn't resist to come here for a quick drink aka Champagne. It was a fancy place with white tablecloths. I wish we had more time to sample some of their food. We had our server come over with some fresh bread and delicious silky-salted butter. I may have eaten more of the butter than the bread LOL. Plus it went perfect with my Champagne. I would definitely recommend coming here if you are in the area and suggest making reservations if they take them. It looks like a very upscale classy restaurant. I know we will be back for sure! Cheers~

This was my first visit to Bouchon Bistro, and the lively, bustling atmosphere immediately stood out. Created by Chef Thomas Keller, the restaurant delivers authentic French bistro fare rooted in the same excellence behind The French Laundry. The menu shifts seasonally, but staples like roast chicken, leg of lamb, and trout amandine remain reliable favorites. Whether dining indoors or outdoors, the space reflects classic French style with elegant design and artwork. The staff made it all feel effortless, providing warm, polished hospitality throughout. If you're ever in the area...GET SOME!!!

Totally worth the hype. Love the bustling atmosphere at dinner service, people seemed to really enjoy themselves. I think the wine helps. Loved the bistro classics. Service was efficient and friendly, and a little no nonsense which I liked. We had: Cheese plate - Excellent. We had this as an appetizer because why not Steak frites - Freakin delicious Mussels - Get this! Mussels were super soft and tender. They know what they're doing

We only received 10 of 12 items paid for. They usually give you all items paid for. They did not give us the Bouchon package and they did not give the strawberry pistachio danish danish. We drove to Bouchon to get the amazing baked goods. They usually give you everthing you order. Now we cannot trust they will give you all items paid for, you need to check your bag to make sure all items paid for are put in your bag.

Are they still serving the Croque Madame?

Currently, yes, but only as an off menu special.

How formally should we dress for dinner?

Does this Bouchon Bistro have that foie gras terrine? I can't see it on the menu in the Bouchon Bistro in Yountville.

They did not have it when I went there a few months ago.

Are dogs allowed in the outdoor seating area?

Yes! It's a bit tight but when we were with our Shiba, almost every outdoor seating had a dog.

Can you accommodate a lunch celebration (wife's 60th Birthday and 35th Wedding Anniversary) of 20 guests? Do you have a private area for this celebration? Menu choices? I posted an inquiry on the website since 4/14 and no response.

I'd call Thomas Keller Restaurant Group # in Yountville, CA

I have a vegetarian friend coming with me. Are there any good options for this person?

Yes, Bouchon has seafood and salad options. I'd call or email Bouchon to see what they're offering.

Do they have walk in for lunch at the bar? Or does every seat accounted for via rsvp?

Is the Tartare de Saumon made from fresh or smoked salmon?

    Fresh Salmon!

Does anyone have a picture of the wine list by the bottle?

    Available on their website!

Are online reservations released on a weekly basis? I don't see any availability starting the 2nd week of November and on.

We were just there last night for an amazing dinner and asked them about November... they are currently re-working the seating configurations but will load reservations soon they said.

    When will you reopen?

They are open both indoor and outdoor.

Will brunch be available New Year's Day?

They are taking reservations via Opentable for New Year's Day at brunch time (1PM).

    How much is corkage?

    $35

    Is there a kids menu?

I’m not sure— I do not believe so

They're out of reservations this Sunday 11am- what are the chances of getting a table for 5 just walking in? How long the average wait for this time?

Sadly, very slim. They fill up for Sunday brunch usually weeks in advance. Getting a table for 5, even waiting, seems unlikely to me.

How much was the shaved truffle on top of the dishes?

I think I got a half order and it was $25 extra.

Outside seating, courtyard or inside forSunday brunch?

Inside if really hot. Otherwise outside is nice.

We found Brooke by searching for wedding planners that had worked with our venue (Timber Cove Resort) before. Having worked there before, it was a huge plus that she already knew the coordinators and had cultivated relationships with trusted vendors who were familiar with the property. This insider knowledge made our planning process very smooth. We decided to go with the partial planning package, which fit our needs well. Early in the planning process, we'd spend time researching vendors on our own as well as ask Brooke for her recommendations, then reach out to the vendors on both of our lists. We found ourselves choosing her suggestions almost every time. Her industry experience and keen eye for quality vendors became obvious very quickly, yet she never made us feel pressured to go with any particular choice. She simply provided excellent options and let us make the decisions. Throughout the entire process, Brooke was incredibly mindful of our budget. In our very first meeting, she showed us a detailed budget from a previous wedding she did at our venue and walked us through each line item, pointing out areas where we might want to allocate more or less based on our priorities. This level of transparency and attention to detail immediately gave us confidence in her approach. Her communication style was exactly what we needed. We often sent her emails late at night, and Brooke would consistently respond first thing the next morning with clear, comprehensive answers. There was not a single time that she didn't address a concern in one of our emails, even when we sent her massive lists. She was also always proactive about letting us know when she'd be on vacation well in advance, allowing us to plan our questions and timeline accordingly. Brooke's flexibility was another standout quality. While our contract only covered the wedding day itself, we had planned a Welcome Dinner the night before and a Farewell Brunch the day after that we intended to handle ourselves. Unlike other planners we'd heard about from our friends who strictly limit their involvement to contracted days (which is understandable), Brooke was incredibly supportive when questions came up about these additional events. She went above and beyond by helping us order linens from the rental company and create layouts for these extra events. Not to say that future clients should expect this kind of support for non-contracted events by any means, but we were grateful for her willingness to lend a helping hand with the extra details that made our entire wedding weekend cohesive and stress-free. When our wedding day arrived, everything ran flawlessly! Even when we had a last-minute request to move our toasts indoors due to wind and chilly weather, Brooke handled it seamlessly without missing a beat. We can't imagine having planned our wedding without Brooke. Her expertise, professionalism, and genuine care for our vision made what could have been an overwhelming process both enjoyable and successful. We truly couldn't think of anything negative when she asked for our feedback after the wedding. We absolutely recommend her without reservation!

She truly pulled out all the stops to create the most magical, heavenly day of my life! My husband and I were in awe and so impressed by her, especially since we are pretty detail oriented ourselves. Brooke is even more so, and genuinely cared that our wedding day was perfectly executed from start to finish. She is prompt when responding to emails and texts and is always on time. In addition, her extensive industry experience is obvious and came in handy time and time again as we navigated the complicated wedding planning process. It is important to note that she is also very kind, understanding, and hard working, so I never once felt uncomfortable asking her questions or for tasks to be done. Brooke knew how much I cared about the look and feel of our wedding being just right, and she completely blew me out of the water - so much so that I cried for the first time before walking down the aisle when she gave me a sneak peak of the reception hall. And on my wedding night, Brooke provided all of my bridesmaids flip flops and even went back to our hotel to grab the flats I left behind so that we could dance the night away! She is so special and a true artist. Without a doubt - there is no one else you should hire for your wedding planner - Brooke is the one! (Nicole and Nicholas Errico - Sonoma Golf Club - 6/3/23)

The staff were super nice and gave us a few recommendations, but we ended up going with the Grilled CAB Hanger Steak and the Soupe à l'Oignon. The steak was incredibly tender and juicy, with a beautiful seared outside. The beef had that deep, rich flavor and the roasted garlic added a little sweetness. But the bone marrow butter was something else. It basically melted right into the steak, adding this buttery, savory flavor that made the meat even more indulgent. But for me, the real star was the Soupe à l'Oignon. This might honestly be the best French onion soup I've ever had, even better than some I've had in Paris. The broth was deep, rich, and full of onion flavor, while the onions themselves were incredibly soft and almost melted into the soup. Then came the cheese. That first pull when you lift the spoon was insane. Creamy, salty, and slightly toasted, it mixed with the hot broth and sweet onions perfectly. Every spoonful had layers of flavor. Rich broth, sweet caramelized onions, melted cheese, and that toasted bread underneath. It was comforting, hearty, and exactly what I wanted from a French onion soup. Bistro Jeanty gave me a little taste of Paris all over again.
