    Chirashi Bowl
    Jurem F.

We came for a Mother's Day snack before dinner, post wine tasting. Very indulgent Mother's Day but very well deserved! We had a larger party, but we were easily seated outside in their patio. Super comfy chairs, and also very low to the ground, great for the kids! This is a caviar and champagne lounge by TKG, so expect luxury and over-the-top service. Our server was very attentive, the dining room team kept our table bussed and neat, and food came out relatively fast. Tasting of Regiis Ova Caviar: a sample of 6 of the Regiis Ova caviar line: Golden Ossetra, Ossetra, Hybrid, Supreme, Siberian and Royal Caviar. Comes with the classic garnishes of shaved egg yolk, Crème fraiche, and chives, a bowl of potato chips, and blinis. If this is your first time having caviar, the Tasting is a must! You have enough of each to distinguish between the varieties, and enough accoutrements to try with and without them on each sample! Chirashi Bowl: Koshihikari Rice, Bigeye Tuna, Ora King Salmon. Fresh fish on top of a rice mixture, diced into cubes for easy scooping. A fine accompaniment to the caviar and flowing champagne. Hokkaido Scallop Cured in Kombu: The French Laundry Culinary Garden Hakurei Turnips, Buttermilk, Kaffir Lime. Don't let the fancy ingredients and name scare you! It's a scallop crudo dish, if you like sashimi, you'll love this. Paper Plane: a cocktail from the French Laundry not on the menu at RO. Fantastic grapefruitish drink, good recommendation. If you have time and money to spare before dinner, this is a perfect spot to indulge in Napa's finest!

Incredible spot to come after a wine tasting. This used to be a champagne and caviar lounge. The menu leans Japanese, and everything we ordered was SO good. We went with a group of 5, and ordered just the right amount of food (essentially everything on the menu haha). Most memorable bites: -the Hokkaido uni toast -the tempura and the green goddess dipping sauce that comes with it -the shio koji caviar ice cream -the Koshihikari rice Friendly and inviting service. It's a gorgeous and minimal interior, and the desserts were next level. I will forever remember this special meal!

I highly, highly recommend this place! AMAZING food and vibe. You have to order one chirashi bowl per person; you won't be disappointed. We came during happy hour and left feeling 200% satisfied.

You really can't go wrong dining at a Thomas Keller restaurant, and this one is no exception. About a year and a half ago, it expanded from focusing solely on champagne and caviar to offering a full menu -- and it truly shines. The cocktails and every dish we tried were outstanding. The wagyu beef was incredibly tender, and dipping it into the egg yolk made it even more flavorful. The ambiance is beautiful, the service attentive, and the entire experience memorable. I highly recommend this place.

I was most excited to try the Uni roll but was surprised by the chirashi bowl being my favorite. The caviar tasting was fun to do. Everything else was tasty but the fried chicken was a little underwhelming. The restaurant is lovely with indoor and outdoor dining. Staff & Service was nice.

We stumbled upon this as Priests Ranch was closed for some reason and what a pleasant surprise. We love it! From the moment we entered and got greeted by host to kind, prompt, friendly service . The seating both indoor and outdoor ample and modern. But most please was the food, everything was excellent all around especially the sirachi bowl. From the scallops to the little gems to the hanger steak, all were delicious. We will be back!

Always such a pleasant experience dining at RO Restaurant & Lounge. The ambiance, service, and food is consistently good. Their weekend happy hour in the outdoor lounge area is the BEST - amazing prices for high-quality ingredients and beautifully executed dishes! Thank you RO, I'll be back again soon!

We had reservations at another restaurant in Yountville that was running an hour behind. We walked down the road to find anything. RO was also packed but they offered us seating outside and extended full dinner service to us. The drinks, food, service and band were all A+++ The band even did our request to cover a Whitney Houston song having never done it before. All the staff seemed happy to be working there.

Champagne, caviar, jazz, Thomas Keller, what more could you ask for from RO?? It's truly the entire bougie package. We've sat both inside and outside before, and both provide different vibes so it depends on what mood you're going for. Inside is more intimate and romantic whereas outside is more relaxed. If you go on the weekend and for dinner, they also have a live jazz band! Do check their website for the schedule. It's Yountville, and if you're coming here, prepare to spend some big bucks. But it's so worth it because everything we've tried has been delectable. Their caviar dishes are always paired extremely well. I've also had some of the best oysters I've ever had here. Their non-caviar dishes are a treat themselves such as the big eye tuna & ora king salmon chirashi bowl, or the ribeye bowl. Basically, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu lol. Service is always consistent and good; the last time we went, our server/sommelier recognized us which was a nice touch.

RO is Thomas Keller's Asian-inspired restaurant in the heart of Yountville. We came here for their happy hour (4-6pm Th-Sun) for discounted drinks and light bites. We made reservations ahead for the outdoor lounge and were seated around a cozy low table with a wide and plush lounge sofa and two comfortable side chairs. Our server was very helpful with explaining the menu items and check on us often. We started with the chirashi bowl and the flat iron(steak) bowls. They were so good we ordered more. We also added the black truffle sando , uni toasts, and scallops with kombu. Everything was delicious and beautifully plated, but be warned, the tab can add up fast! The happy hour menu can look like a bargain, but because the portions were small, we ended up ordering more, so perhaps it would have been better to just order the full meal option. Our tab came to about $60 person and that is without drinks or desserts. However, it was an elevated experience and we enjoyed ourselves.

We had an early dinner at RO Restaurant & Lounge at 5:30 pm with our two young kids. We were walk-in and the host was really nice, even letting us store the kids' bikes in the back. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The Bouchon Bakery Milk Bread was soft and buttery, and the kids loved it. The Charcoal-Grilled Wagyu Flat Iron Steak was delicious and cooked medium rare, but we should have asked for medium well because it was a bit more red than we like in the middle. The Hokkaido Scallop Cured in Kombu was tasty but very small, like most of the dishes. The Grilled Black Cod with Matsutake Mushroom and Ginger Scallion Rice Porridge was good, but the flavors were mild and familiar, similar to other Japanese restaurants in the Bay Area, nothing surprising. The best thing we tried was the Hokkaido Uni Toast with Ossetra Caviar. For dessert, the Apple Chouquette and RO Dreams of Citrus Shaved Ice were both big hits with the kids. There are grape vines across the street, which made for a great photo with the kids. Overall, portions are small but the food and service are good. We would come back, especially for the uni toast with caviar and dessert.

Service here was amazing!! Staff was so friendly and nice. Caviar tasting was so much fun and yummy. My favorite was this uni toast with caviar. Next time I come back I will be ordering 10 of these. We sat outside so the ambiance was so nice, inside is even better.

Nothing quite says, flex like caviar and bubbly...from world renowned chef, Thomas Keller. But, I'm not here for that. I'm here for the dog-friendly patio. And, that uni toast! To my surprise, RO Restaurant & Lounge was dead on an early Saturday evening, tho customers started trickling in later on. Can't help but think if this was on The Row in Silicon Valley, it would be poppin' with rented lambos revving their engines in the background. Starting as a pop-up caviar lounge in 2021, TK transformed this into a brick & mortar restaurant in May 2024. Indoor and outdoor seating available (dog-friendly). Rezzies on Resy. M E N U Menu showcases Keller's own brand of caviar. Food menu is heavily Japanese and Hawaiian influenced. HH specials: Wednesday - Sunday, 4 pm - 6 pm. Although they bill themselves as a "restaurant", IMO, this is def more than a lounge with small bites than a place for a full sit down meal. Full bar. D R I N K S * Belvedere Vodka, shaken w/ a lemon twist ($19): https://tinyurl.com/mvstfe25 It's a champagne bar so understandably, they were limited in their vodka selection. The shaken belvedere was fine. F O O D * 1/2 Dozen Oysters w/ yuzu kosho mignonette ($32) // 4 Stars: https://tinyurl.com/y7s3fwv8\ Steep pricing aside, the oysters were solid. Properly shucked, clean and mildly briny. * Japanese Hamachi w/ white kimchi, finger lime, preserved Japanese melons ($22) // 3 Stars: https://tinyurl.com/mw3kt6wx Sounded better on paper, there was more gelée than hamachi that was cut too finely. * Hokkaido Uni Toast w/ bouchon brioche, tare ($21) // 5 Stars: https://tinyurl.com/a7ws2883 The buttery crispy soft brioche against the creamy, umami-rich hokkaido uni was sublime. The perfect luxe bite. * Foie Blanc w/ caramelized apple, salted licorice cream, taiyaki ($25) // 3.5 Stars https://tinyurl.com/3s49mp35 The chicken pâté was deliciously rich and velvety smooth but the accompanying taiyaki was like dry, dense cornbread. * Bigeye Tuna & Ora King Salmon Chirashi w/ koshihikari rice, smoked trout roe, nori ($30) // 4.5 Stars: https://tinyurl.com/2ry46upj - Charged regular price vs $15 HH price Solid bura chirashi - the sushi rice was well-seasoned with either black or red vinegar, properly sticky and ever so slightly warm. Scattered on top were colorful cubes of fresh tuna and buttery salmon with salty pops from the trout roe. * Pork Katsu Sando w/ katsu sauce ($19) // 2 Stars: https://tinyurl.com/39wx7cbv - Charged regular price vs $9 HH price The heavy hand of tangy katsu sauce rendered the pork katsu soggy with stale bread that broke apart when biting into. * BBQ Mochi: Hawaiian Butter Mochi w/ Marshall's farm wildflower honey ($5) // 1 Star: https://tinyurl.com/2hf3596d Really wanted the kakigōri (Japanese shaved ice) but they only had matcha flavor and I can't have caffeine late so we went with this. This too was stale...like stale cake with no chewy mochi texture. S E R V I C E Slow start, after waiting 10-15 minutes in a near empty lounge, I had to flag someone to order drinks while two other tables who arrived after us were helped first. Most of the 6-7 staff we interacted with were kind (especially the manager) but we had no assigned server which was confusing. There was one staff with unwelcoming vibes and treated us like an inconvenience. Figured she was having a bad day until I saw how differently she treated the table next to us. Otherwise, prompt drink and food service. A M B I A N C E Cozy, sophisticated indoor dining area with bar but the patio is where it's at with lush greenery, trees, calming water features, and fireplace. Live jazz on Fridays and Saturdays starting at 7 pm. P A R K I N G They have their own private lot in back. Overall, it was a very mixed experience with highs and lows. Nonetheless, if you're looking to ball out in Yountville with caviar and bubbly, RO seems like the place to do it!

Judge me if you want, I've already judged myself and still ordered the drink, so your opinion is irrelevant. I Googled "good drinks near me" like a responsible adult, and BOOM, this place appeared like a gift from the cocktail gods. Two minutes away? On foot? I practically floated there. I told myself I'd stroll and enjoy the scenery. I did. I was very sophisticated about it. When I arrived, I found out there's a whole bar hiding inside Oxbow Market. A bar. Inside a market. Genius. I walked in and immediately forgot why I was confused because it was full-on foodie heaven, and the bar reached out with invisible hands and pulled me straight to it. I had no choice. It was gravity. That's when I met Lauren. Lauren was behind the bar, doing her thing, radiating good energy, and I said to myself, "I must sit here and be her problem for the next hour." She was so warm and welcoming that I felt personally invited. I, a stranger. She smiled the whole time, which either means she genuinely loved the conversation or she is an incredible professional. Either way, 10/10. Now, I am notoriously indecisive. I could spend 45 minutes choosing between two identical options. Lauren, a saint, walked me through the entire menu without a single eye roll (that I could see). I finally landed on the boozy strawberry slushy with a prosecco float. Could I have done without the bubbles? Probably. Did I finish every last drop anyway? Absolutely. We talked and laughed like two old friends who had just met, which is my favorite kind of friendship. Lauren also helped me figure out where to eat lunch and dinner once I told her I only eat seafood , and she delivered. The woman is a resource. If you're in Napa, come here. It's adorable. The staff will make you feel like a regular on your first visit, and yes, the prices are Napa prices, meaning everything costs what it costs because Napa has decided it is fancy, and we have all agreed to go along with it. No complaints. Check them out!

Review #1,016 Posted on 3.16.26…read more We came here for lunch while in Napa on Saturday March 7th. They've got a small bar top area to sit at, maybe 10 seats or so. My wife wanted to try caviar, so we actually gave it a spin here for our 1st time. I'd always been nervous about what the taste of caviar would be like. Glad I got to try it out at least once. It basically was a bit crunchy & a bit salty, other than that nothing of note for me at least. I get the price to an extent as it's not day to obtain, but man, it's expensive for what you get, not just here but any place you buy it. Probably a one time thing for me. The other item we got was one of their paninis & salads to share, and some waters. They've basically got a bar top, and most people seem to order their frozen machine drinks. I believe you can pair the frozen flavor with the wine, champagne, etc with it. Nice little spot inside Oxbow to get a quick bite and drink when in town.

Can tell he really loves this stuff and his passion is contagious. Poured very unique bottles you won't find many other places and all delicious. Recommend any champagnes fans in Bay Area visit.
