You order at the counter and find a seat and they bring it out to you. We ordered two entrees and an appetizer and they came out fast and at the same time! I would rather my appetizer come out a few minutes before. But food was good. I ordered the fried platter with catfish($2 up-charge), shrimp and stuffed shrimp. It was fried well. I really enjoyed the stuff shrimp. But the surprise for me were the fried pickles as an appetizer. They are made in house and were enjoyable. We also ordered the blackened fish(tilapia),shrimp and chicken. Both came with a side. Food was seasoned well. Atmosphere is more laid back than pappas and I appreciated that aspect. It's been quite a while since we've eaten at Boudreaux's. We remembered the great food and today was more of the same. My wife got a bowl of shrimp gumbo which she loved...it was slightly smaller than a #10 washtub...it was big. She also enjoyed some fried green tomatos which I helped her with, got a few spoons of her gumbo too. We sample everything. I enjoyed a cup of seafood gumbo and a 10 count fried butterflied shrimp platter. this also came wit' french fries dusted wit' Cajun seasonings. It was ok. We went for the Friday the 13th $13 dollar special for 3 proteins and a side. We upgraded to catfish for $2.70. The fish was good and cleaned well. We also got the stuffed shrimp and shrimp. The stuffing in the shrimp was seasoned well but the celery could be chopped a bit more. And its also ALOT of stuffing. More like a stuffed ball and a piece of shrimp. The shrimp was butterflied and it was good. The side of onion rings they could've kept. Just mediocre. You see the seasoning on it but you don't taste it. I also got a Margarita and wouldn't recommend it either. It was sweet with no alcohol. I guess thats what you expect for $3. Everything was a bit underwhelming. I don't need really need to come back. The service was great though. Qyinisha who took our order was pleasant and Lance our server was cool. The crab cake was the thinnest crab cake I've ever seen in my life and also salty. There were literally only 3 shrimp in the platter. My husband had the stuffed fish, it was so poorly presented. He didn't even bother to eat it. He also had the seafood gumbo which he said was definitely not gumbo but it was probably the only thing we got that wasn't completely horrible. The menu has definitely scaled down due to COVID-19. However the flavor has not! The cashier was super helpful and friendly.
