It was pretty packed for the grand opening, but the robot kept up to speed and it was not a long wait at all. The coffee was REALLY good too- I can be a bit of a "coffee snob," yet, the taste did not disappoint at all! The treats are obviously baked with love (delicious). The customer service is top tier- from the owners all the way to their staff! I returned another day to enjoy the candle-making experience with my BFF, and that turned out to be a SUPER cool "girl's night out!" As we curated our candles we chatted, laughed, sipped coffee, snacked on treats, and before we knew it our candle was ready to be boxed up to take home! My candle smells ahhhhmazing even when it's not burning. I could go on and on; it's just really exciting to see such a unique business brought to town that offers a place to gather and make memories. I love everything about Kindled & Grounded, truly.

The reason I still give them 4 stars is because of the customer service (from the humans, not the robot, though the robot is surprisingly polite! :). My husband and I stopped in during BottleRock weekend even though we'd already gotten our morning coffees at our favorite spot around the corner. We wanted to check out this new robot barista of course! Though it was fun to watch the robot (who by the way looks like he could be Baymax's little cousin from the movie Big Hero 6), their matcha latte was pretty awful. It tasted sour/tart, almost like it was made with milk that had gone sour or like it had some weird citrus-y tart juice squeezed into it. We'd already walked down the street on our way to BottleRock so there was no time to go back to see if they could remake it. Our total for the one drink came out to just over $8. We knew going in that the drink prices were on the higher side there, but we figured it was worth paying a couple extra dollars to experience the robot thing and support a newer local business. But when the actual drink isn't even drinkable, then you can't help but feel ripped off. Before writing this review I mentioned the drink issue in one of those 'How'd we do" type of surveys attached to my electronic receipt, and to my surprise, one of the owners responded right away to apologize and sort it out with me. She assured me that their matcha lattes should not taste like that. Her great customer service alone turned our "sour" experience into a good one, and we'll certainly give them another chance our next time in Downtown Napa!

It has mostly new books and some great quality used books. To the left of the cafe is a huge children's section that includes a great Spanish selection. My kid & I sat down on the cozy rug and chair to read and picked our favorites to buy. We were never rushed out which I appreciated. My husband found several books and they had a great selection of gifts and unique finds. The staff were super friendly and I saw one helping a young adult find a book. They have a gender neutral restroom in the kids section. There are some small tables and a few chairs inside and outside. I look forward to coming back next time I am in Napa!

There was trivia taking place so we walked up to ask for a sheet but she just handed us a poster for the event and shooed us away. We sat down to wait thinking there was going to be another activity afterwards but there was not and in the end, they passed out tote bags to participants. I was very excited for these as they were advertised online with purchase but when I asked how I can buy one, she stated "only trivia participants can get a tote." Poor advertising since online it stated tote bag gifted with purchase and they did not follow through. I even asked if there could be any exception since we weren't offered a trivia sheet but nothing. Didn't realize that you couldn't participate in a "listening event" if you didn't show up exactly on time. Even more upsetting is that before we left, we saw her bring the almost full box of tote bags to the back so there were definitely extras.. In addition, as we sat down, we could also see another employee checking in with every other table except us. We were not even offered or given the chance to look at their drinks or food. As a person of color in a very white space, it felt a lot like we were being excluded on purpose. It was not a nice feeling. The space felt very unwelcoming and I hope they don't treat other customers this way. I even browsed in their vinyl section because I didn't want to feel like my trip was an absolute waste, only to find that they had limited music at an upcharged price. Very disappointing.

I love that the shop is named after Brittany's parents Amy and Day because it makes the whole experience feel personal and special. This boutique has officially become one of my favorites in Napa. The quality is next level and Brittany's eye for style is unmatched. She brings together comfort and chic in a way that makes every item feel like a must have. If you are in Napa this is a shopping stop you cannot miss. I came in curious and left completely obsessed. Already planning my return. Value: worth it.
