This little dessert shop was probably the best place I ate at during my work trip in Boulder. Only place in Boulder that is opened past 10pm probably LOL. If you are from LA, this place gave me Diddy Riese vibes, but only wayyyy better cause the cookies were baked fresh to perfection. We got peanut butter chocolate, red velvet, chocolate chip, and snickerdoodle. Where do you go for a late dessert on a Sunday evening in Boulder? Well you go to one of the few places that would still be open after 8 p.m. "Boulder Baked"! Located on Broadway between 9th and Pearl, it is a very convenient location for any promenade from the local restaurants and shops of the Pearl Street Mall. Our waitress at The Med had recommended this place. As soon as you open the door, your senses are overwhelmed with the aroma of freshly baked cookies. Yes! They specialize in freshly baked cookies!!! In fact you can order any flavor of cookie, as long as you can wait about 15 minutes. They also work with a third-party delivery service to deliver warm, fresh cookies to all of the Boulderites who might have a case of the late-night munchies.  I settled on a Heath bar milkshake, while Bob tried the brownie sundae. The gal behind the cookie bar asked Bob what part of the brownie pan she should cut his brownie from! Now that's service! She asked if he wanted a corner slice or one from the middle. I do want to try some freshly baked cookies next time, but it was so hot outside the cold milkshake really hit the spot. Awesome spot to grab freshmade cookies to order. I had the white chocolate macademia which was the cookie of the month and it was delicious. They are my fave cookie even if it wasn't cookie of the month I would've ordered it anyway. The sugar cookies were also a crowd pleaser but the chocolate chip peanut butter and the Eminem peanut butter cookie were too dull and dry for my liking. Such a staple of Boulder! The best cookies in town with so many options, my favorite is the oatmeal chocolate chip. A bit hard to find parking, but definitely check it out! They weren't my favorite cupcakes in the world, but I can't complain that they offer an option for me! Went here after staying late at the office cuz I was feeling sorry for myself, dammit. After perusing aisle upon aisle of delicious cupcakes, ranging from cookie dough to lemon drop, I finally made up my mind and chose a strawberry shortcake cupcake. Oddly enough, one of the staff told me there was strawberry filling inside. There wasn't. However, the cupcake was solid enough on its own to convince me to give this place 5 stars. Let's talk about the cupcake. OMG, it was one of the best cupcakes I've ever had, and its simplicity (read: lack of filling) actually added to its greatness. The cake itself was moist and eggy on the inside but had a pleasant crust to bite through and had a similar flavor profile to yellow cake. I was overjoyed to discover that the frosting was whipped cream, as I'm not a huge buttercream fan. It was cool and not too sweet, even refreshing, and perfectly complemented the tart strawberry slices on top. It was the perfect pick-me-up after a grueling day of work. The shop itself is conveniently located right along my walk from work to the Broadway & Walnut bus stop, but I didn't notice t until two weeks in as it's kind of dark and blends into the other shops along the street. Went out for dessert on a late night craving and this place stays open late. I don't mind premium prices but sadly cookies were mediocre, best thing about it was the variety and it was made to order... if you're getting anything, try the cinnamon sugar raisin cookie I'm going to Whole Foods next time. 3.5 stars. Boulder Baked definitely has the right idea. Deliver warm cookies to drunk college kids. I definitely partook once or twice back in my CU days. Last weekend I decided to check out their new (to me) location. They had a ridiculous amount of cookie flavors- at least 15. They also had 5 or 6 batches of cupcakes in the case. While the cookies came out warm, they weren't as awesome as I remembered. The chocolate tasted more burned than chocolate. It also took 15 minutes to get 4 cookies. So the stars I give are mostly for my memories of their cookies, not so much for the taste. read more

Open until midnight. $1.75 per freshly baked cookie! That's pricy but the novelty of getting a really fresh & hot cookie late @ night makes the price worth it. I tried the ginger doodle (tasted like a soft & chewy ginger snap) & a chocolate macadamia cookie. The ginger snap was glistening because of the sugar. Both cookies were super thin and takes about 10 minutes to make. I also tried the apple pie milkshake with caramel sauce & a kitkat/Nutella milksHake. The apple pie shake had chunks of apple in it & the kit KAt shake had chunks of candy bar. Both were delicious & satisfying for late night drunchies. This place is unlike any other, if you love all sorts of cookies than this is for you! Just a heads up the cookies take awhile to come out due to the fact they are straight out of the oven. I would recommend this for anyone traveling to Boulder, fun place to take people when visiting. It is located in the heart of Pearl Street, so lots of shopping to do after. While I don't think the cookies are out of this world delicious, I can appreciate simple food executed well, and that's what Boulder Baked does. We ordered 9 cookies for about $13 (closer to like $12.84 or something) and, while I don't remember exactly what we got, I can attest to the sugar cookies' and funfetti cookies' deliciousness! Because the goods are baked to order (they take approximately 15 minutes), they're just the right amount of soft and gooey. A lot of places nowadays have crazy flavors and sizes and textures, but I don't think a cookie needs gimmick to be great. read more

Thank goodness this place or cupcakes aren't in my proximity in SF. Because if Boulder Baked was as convenient to me as it is to my friend Kat C., I would be in SERIOUS, SERIOUS trouble. Really baked-goods shop betrween Pearl and Walnut St. The address on google is wrong-it has their old address. If you're doing what we did and just googling it on an iphone you'll end up at the old place. We lucked out and stopped RIGHT in front of the store to look at the map again-looked up, and there we were! Right when they opened the doors. Serendipity is a great thing. The fresh-baked cookies ROCK! I got good ol' chocolate chip and they were awesome (both fresh and the next day-still chewy!). DH said the cupcakes were really good too, and he ate them about 5 days later. Imagine how great they must be if you eat them the same day! He got the vegan pumpkin spice and a carrot cake. We made a quick stop here for something sweet on the way up to Estes Park and boy do I wish we'd had more time! They have a huge menu of cookies (see photo) that are BAKED TO ORDER. Yes- they bake them right when you order them!! Unfortunately, we were sort of rushed, but we were not disappointed with the the choices we made out of their delicious case. I ordered a strawberry shortcake cupcake. The whipped cream on top was divine, but what was really amazing was the cake. It was the perfect texture of soft but not crumbly. It also had a sort of crunch on the top- not in an overcooked way but it made it extra delicious. My daughter ordered the carrot cake which the man behind the counter said was the best thing they make- HE WAS RIGHT. It was the perfect sweetness but not in a way that overpowered the carrot. My daughter wanted to order a birthday ale from Boulder Baked. She tried to do it online but my credit card wouldn't go through. I looked at my cc app and it showed the charge and the removed charge as well. My daughter decided she wanted to call the order in. She does the exact same order over the phone as she did online and for some reason there was a $17 difference on the price. I decide to call and figure out what was going on, the guy on the phone said that the cc machine automatically put the tip on there. C'mon, really? %20 of a $50 order automatically put on would've been $10 and the cc machine doesn't do it automatically. He typed in an extra $17 dollars without my knowledge, never even asked if I wanted to place a tip. This is the worst establishment ever! a place willing to commit fraud when people have access to there cc bills so quickly! I have files a police report. read more

You know what's great about this place.. fresh piping hot cookies! They bake fresh to order!
