In fairness to the staff, they are friendly. My husband has crown done & before it was done they explained to us our co pay & we agreed & paid almost $800 plus. It has been a problem that my husband has experienced with sensitivity with cold & was advised that it will go away, & the dentist is now recommending root canal. We feel like this practice is a second hand car dealership who wants to sell you stuff than being more concerned about their patient. The worst part was after paying a hefty co pay, after 6 months we were informed that my husband still owed them $37 dollars & some change. They nickel & dime you too. We were so used to our dental service in California that they get the approval first give you your co pay part before they start their service to avoid additional money owed. So we ended up looking for another dental office. We don't want to have teeth cleaning services & after 6 months they will tell us we owe $10 or less. read more

I switched dentist to here and it was amazing. I felt very welcomed and I felt like the staff here are very knowledgeable and kind. When I asked about insurance they were very transparent and it was an easy process. When I discussed something was bothering me I felt like they actually listened and addressed my concerns. Seems like their process for charging you is just getting ridiculous. Feels like they are scamming you and that's not to mention the lack luster service. They don't respect your time, I had multiple appointments canceled by them. When I finally got in for an appointment that was supposed to be a cleaning my teeth didn't get cleaned and they are just making up new ways to charge you more.. and first time ever someone wanted to do numbing injections to do a cleaning again feels like another thing they just add on to bill you for a service that should have and had always been 100% covered by my dental. Im not saying my teeth are perfect but hey if you can trick people into paying extra by make them feel like their teeth are worse then they actually are why not. I don't write reviews but think people should be aware because once your in the seat, have already changed your day around, and then get hit with exaggerated information it's likely you'll just pay the add on fees. My problem with this office started last October. I had a graft done on my gums. I had given the office manager Tina I think is her name at the time of my procedure $150. She told me that I would get my $150 back after my insurance pay dr Sima who did my graft. I believed her. Well as of today my insurance process the bill but will not pay dr Sima until he sends more information that was done. I believe that dr Sima don't have those answers for my insurance if not he would have given my I insurance what they are requesting. Early January the 3 lady's that ran the front desk either was fired or they left. New employees and new manager Tonya. I really thought Tonya would help me solve this problem. She been lying to me about getting my $150 back. It's now end of July 2026. I did not hear from Tonya since March and that's bc I've been doing the calling. I want my $150 back. This is a very dishonest dental office. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS OFFICE. They will rip you off with no accountability. The good thing is my insurance did not pay dr Sima bc he still didn't answer the questions so therefore he did not get paid his $3500 until questions are answered. I will be the first to tell you that I have far from perfect teeth and dental care has been a struggle in the past; I had a pretty strong fear of dentists & the cost can be prohibitive. I became a patient at Sunrise Dental a year ago when my previous dentist passed away. They did a full work up with fillings, deep cleanings and a laser cleaning. I paid approx. $2,500.00 out of pocket. Every time I've visited in the last year, despite all the work I have had done and the hard work I put in to caring for them, it seems like it is not good enough. Every cleaning turns into a litany of what else needs to be done and what I'm not doing enough of and, with the exception of one wonderful technician last cleaning, a big heaping of judgement. I don't need to spend $2,500.00 of my own money to be judged by my dentist when I've now met my yearly maximum and will not (or cannot) pay another $1,500.00 for a new crown. And honestly, with the affordability crisis we're facing, I think more than a few people can relate with that. The reality of dental work in this day and age is that we must work around the limitations of health insurance and the increasingly sky-rocketing costs. In my opinion a GOOD dentist understands that, works with you, and doesn't make you feel judged. That is not the kind of Dentist that Sunrise Dental is. Sunrise Dental will give you the Cadillac price, without any options and without any empathy. Their bed-side manner is chilly and even when something isn't an up sell it feels like an up sell. I have additional work that I need to get done, including replacing a perfectly good filling that popped out a day ago while I was flossing with both a root canal and a crown apparently, but I will not be giving my money to them. recently visited Sunrise Dental for a routine check-up. The staff was efficient with the X-rays, and that part of the visit went smoothly. However, I was surprised to learn that they would not perform a standard dental cleaning--a service I have received consistently for the past 48 years. Instead, they insisted on a "laser cleaning," which would cost $200 out of pocket. When I told them I wanted a regular cleaning, without the "optional" laser - they refused - it was utterly shocking I had never heard of laser cleaning for routine dental care and was even more surprised to find out there is no substantial long-term evidence supporting the efficacy of this method over traditional cleaning. I was left questioning whether this upsell was truly necessary or just a way to push an expensive procedure. If you're considering Sunrise Dental, I would recommend asking clear questions about their cleaning methods and whether traditional options are available. Be prepared for additional costs if they suggest laser treatments, and do your own research to make sure it's right for you. Very weird experience overall read more

I was with Sunrise for many years and worked with Dr. Seto. She is pretty good, but charges and billing are terrible. They want upfront money before ordering items you need (crowns, bridges) but when credits are on your account-they drag their feet for a refund. I did an extensive Excel sheet just for 2025 and found a $1665.71 credit on my account using Dental Insurance EOB and their accounting statement. I did written request for refund, email request for refund and 2 calls. I opted to leave because of 1 bad experience. I need the $$ to start with new dentist and some additional dental work. It's nearly 6 weeks and no refund. I've seen a lot of staff turn over during my years there and that is a sign something is going on not good. Avoid. Enough other good dentists and great staff out there who work with you. When money has parentheses or as some would say curved brackets, that is a credit, not balance due. The staff is quite caring and kind. The hygienists and the dentist are very helpful and quite knowledgeable and informative. They make sure you know what to expect during your visit both regarding routine and financial responsibilities. I have been there for a cleaning after taking too much time off from regular cleanings and a month after that I got my very first crown for a tooth I was told to monitor by our previous dentist in Texas about 15 years ago. HORRIBLE!! No wonder the other Sunrise Dentals don't affiliate with them! New to town. We were very specific no x-rays for medical reasons. They made an appointment and said they would do an exam (self-pay no problem) and if everything looked good might be able to schedule Cleaning (all we wanted and that same fair ) when we got there, we were asked for our ID and to fill out paperwork, including Social Security number which is none of anyone's business especially not a dentist! Walked All the way to the back past all Empty chairs! At 2 PM in the afternoon there were seven employees there and Not ONE Patient! The minute my partner got there. They said OK we're ready for x-rays now and that's where it all started. Now they claim that the medical board insist on x-rays ..that simply isn't true and if anyone can prove me otherwise I'd be happy to look When we asked to show that information they then backtracked ! Today Sunrise Dental called me to tell me I had an appointment for tomorrow and I was surprised and told her I had never confirm this appointment and they have lost me as a customer since the incident in December that Nicole canceled my appointment by mistake and won't fit me in earlier since but insisted that I had to wait 4 months till April 2022 for my next appointment. I hadn't been to the dentist in some time and I told myself I had to go. I found this office on yelp and chose it based on closeness to my office, review rating, and ease to get a quick appointment. From the moment in receiving, I felt very welcomed and COVID safe. They had a rather strict protocol for all patients to follow which also made me feel safer. I got x-rays, full checkup and a cleaning. Thankfully I didn't have any cavities or work that had to be outside of the normal checkup. Dr. Seto was very attentive and asked me multiple times if I had any questions or concerns. Beverly, the hygienist was also fantastic. She was funny, let me know what she was doing while she was doing it and did a very thorough job on my cleaning (while following COVID guidelines& protocols). New to the area, was having some tooth pain and inquired about an appointment after hours via online request. They got back to me right away and were able to fit me in the following day! Went here yesterday since I wanted to have a part of my filling repaired before it got any worse. Everyone from the receptionist to the dentist were really nice and kind which made going to the dentist less anxiety provoking lol. Dr. Seto was cool and was able to do my filling in about 10-15 minutes (not including the wait time, etc.). I was glad to hear that it wasn't anything serious and I didn't even have to be numbed for the procedure xD. The establishment was pretty clean and there were a bunch of sections instead of rooms (there weren't any doors). If you need any sort of procedure done and are in the area, I would recommend this place. They have some specials online and you can even do your booking and everything through their website. If you do end up going because of my review be sure to tell them I said hi LOL. They also have water bottles in the waiting area which was pretty neat and there is a t.v. in each section so you can be entertained while waiting for the dentist. I have been a patient here for several years. I somehow didn't get scheduled for my regular cleaning. When I called to make an appointment today (Oct 12) I was told that the soonest I could get in for a cleaning was in April of 2023. I told them that this didn't sound right, and they said they tried to schedule appointments for cleaning 6 months in advance. I then asked if perhaps I had an appointment already; one that I wasn't aware of. The receptionist said immediately that no I had no appointment. I just think this is bad business. Had my first office visit with SunRise Dental this morning. Let me backtrack, I haven't seen a dentist in about a year, so I was due for a visit. I called around my nearby dentist offices and the first two places had an appointment available 3-4 was away! SunRise dental was my third pick only by distance and they were able to schedule me for the next day, which was for this morning! Yes, a dentist office that works on weekends! So I went in early to fill out the normal paperwork and such. The reception area was neat and comfortable. The receptionist was nice and attentive. She let me know in advance about my insurance possibilities on how the office would show me what I would pay, after insurance, for procedures done! Wow! No surprises after the work is done! :) I then met my hygienist with smiles and welcomes. She escorted to the back office area which was clean and well kept. Took my DIGITAL X-rays and was impressed by the sanitation efforts after the X-rays. She wiped down everything she touched with those wipe sanitizers! Yes, DIGITAL X-rays were easier and more comfortable to take than those old film type X-rays of years before! I was then moved to the examination chair and the hygienist went over what she was going to do and such. She went over my teeth, checking the gums and teeth. I knew I haven't been doing well flossing so what she told me wasn't a surprise but she was efficient in the initial procedure. From there she went into my general teeth cleaning, my deep cleaning was going to need insurance approval so that is going to be another day. So I thought she wasn't going to do much, but she got in there and gave me a good cleaning! She worked on me for a while and I was impressed by her meticulous attention to detail in getting all that she could in this general cleaning! She then polished my teeth and I was ready for the examination by the Dr. Dr Lee was briefed on my sheet/teeth and introduced himself with a good handshake. He went over my DIGITAL X-rays with me and made me feel comfortable before looking in my mouth as I knew I had at least two cavities that were probably ready to be filled.... His examination was gentle and informative, he noticed I had in fact three cavities and a chipped tooth! I thought I had a chipped tooth but anyways..... He said my cavities weren't big gaping holes yet, but they are a good size that now need to be filled. That, I knew, just didn't want to hear it. :(. Then the Dr thanked me for coming in shook my hand again. I was then taken back to the receptionist area, but on the "inside" side where there was a comfortable chair to sit in while the receptionist, which by the way, her business card reads, "insurance/treatment plan coordinator". After sitting down with her I agree to that title! She went over my treatment plan and made suggestions to save me money and appointments! She was detailed in that she gave me a sheet with all that I needed to have done. With prices! Now my issuance hasn't been verified, so the prices on the sheet were non insurance prices, but will find out tues feb 11th what will be my out of pocket expenses. She explained what the picture of the teeth on my sheet and codes. She thanked me for being a new patient and gave me a welcome gift! I was given a nice reusable shopping bag with something in it! I didn't look inside till I got home and to my surprise it had a blanket in it! I know! Wow! I thought it was going to be something cheesy, but it was a nice throw blanket that I can use to snuggle in front of the TV. :). I also was given the traditional Baggie of goodies, toothbrush, toothpaste and dental floss. :) So here it is, my first visit and review of SunRise Dental. I was impressed by their friendly customer service, sanitation requirements/attentiveness and at the end the bringing it down to earth by the sit down chat afterwards! That right there felt that they were interested in me as a person rather than a number where normally at my other dentist all they wanted was a payment and a next appointment date! So kudos to this whole office for making the visit to the dentist office a pleasant one. JM read more

We moved to Henderson 5 years ago, and Sunrise Dental was the closest dental office to our home. I thought I'd give them a try, and was pleasantly surprised. I live 30 minutes away now, but this dental practice is well worth the drive. I see Dr. Seto. She is calm, efficient, professional, informative and kind. In my 5 years at this office I have never had even a moment of suspicion or worry that they might be pushing a treatment I don't need. I completely trust them. Beverly is the hygienist I see and she is amazing. I'd drive hours to see her, truly. She does such an incredible job - she is thorough, yet gentle. I've learned so much from her about oral hygiene, and she even recommended a product that has essentially cured the uncomfortable sensitivity I have experienced for years with some of my teeth along the gum line. If you are in need of major dental work, get a second opinion. They sold me on a $4,000 bridge that they knew wouldn't be covered by my insurance. I also lost hundreds of my yearly benefit because of their incompetence. I had to cancel a second bridge due to this but I found a better option at almost half the price. Everyone was nice but I'm concerned I was put through getting fillings that weren't warranted. The main dentist said I had six cavities. I had no pain and no indication of this whatsoever. When I went in another dentist was there and he told me I didn't have any cavities and sent me home. I went back and the first dentist said I did have cavities and gave me the fillings.
