I also had the buiscuits and gravy. Yes the biscuit was different than most places, but I really liked it. It was buttery with a crispy outside and soft inside. Great find. Simply stopped in for a bathroom break and coffee sounded perfect. Friendly staff, not many people working here and they offer food as well, so it can take a minute, but we weren't in a hurry. Wasn't bad at all, took maybe 10min? While we waited there were lots of homemade items for sale- crocheted hats and scarves, original greeting cards, lotion bars. We ended up getting a super cute hat for our daughter. We also really enjoyed our oat cinnamon roll latte - delicious roasty flavor, not super sweet, nice foam. Clean bathroom - good experience for us. We make this drive every year for ski season so it's good to have a nice stop to look forward to, we will be back. read more

This local coffee shop was such a gem. As an out of towner, coffee enthusiast I always aim to try local coffee joints over the big Star ;) lol and I'm glad I did. First morning we ordered breakfast and coffee over the phone and went thru the drive thru to pick it up. I ordered a Raspberry Truffle coffee (DELICIOUSNESS) & a bacon egg cheese on an everything bagel-I wish it was more toasted and had butter on it but i was starving and it hit the spot with out it. Wife had the waffles & while she said they were good, she felt like it was missing something ...the day we left town I ordered the Turkish latte which was vanilla with cardamom it was super awesome but it was nice to try something different. Wife ordered the hot cocoa but she was disappointed in that it was lukewarm and not piping hot like she wanted. Such an adorable café, with drive-thru in the middle of the shopping area! We were in serious need for a quick lunch, before hitting a 4 hour drive on the road. Plenty of parking and outside seating available. We were not greeted, as their barista was busy attending the drive-thru! We totally understood, so we went ahead and spent 15 good minutes browsing the menu anyway. Once, we were trying to place our orders, the owner says their dine in hours are closed and we cannot place a order. We were confused as we were standing at the counter for a good 15 minutes and NOW you say something? Why didn't the barista bother to say anything? This is a tiny coffee shop with a drive through. We were passing through town when we found it. Their cinnamon rolls are DELICIOUS!!! They are served warm, loaded with frosting, and topped with nuts!! They are pretty big too, so you should get full off only one! I am not a coffee person, but they have a ton of unique flavors to add to your coffee! The flavors sounded so good I was almost tempted to try some! Stopped in here for to-go breakfast one morning. Got the nitro coffee and a veggie breakfast bowl. Breakfast bowl was fantastic. Coffee was really good, a tad stronger than I'm used to, but I would rather it be too strong than not strong enough! Got a muffin and a scone to go, both were really, really yummy. Scone was one of the best I've ever had. Will definitely visit again when we are back in town! read more

Pagosa Springs is a very small town so finding a great cup of coffee proves to be a little challenging. I had went on a road trip with my mother during the summer and stayed to visit for a few weeks. I spent many days looking for a good cup and after many disapointments was thankful when I found this cute cafe with a drive thru. This spot offers many of the most popular coffee shop drinks and food that one may find in the best of cafes in big cities. The beans that they use were fantastic quality and their baked goods are always freshly baked in house. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Plus this cafe also offers a card to stamp when you frequent them often. If you find yourself traveling to Pagosa Springs and looking for great coffee I definitely recommend check the place out. Two drinks, a slice of quiche and a (small) breakfast burrito ran us $25. Also, the guy at the bar was rude and condescending. I felt pressed to order and he seemed impatient with us. Then the food took SO long. I mean, to the point I had to make go ask him if he remembered we ordered.. considering a quiche is not made to order and the burrito was basically just eggs and bacon, I'm pretty sure he forgot about our order. When I went to ask, before I could even get the whole question out of my mouth before he told me 'it's coming'. Miraculously ten minutes later out food arrived. I've been coming here for years, but today will be my last. Aside from the fact that they are slow as molasses, I always want to support local. I came in today and ordered the only thing I order here, and that is a burrito. After waiting 15 minutes for my order, I received some other breakfast special that didn't look anything like a burrito. The older lady at the cash began to tell me that I did not order a burrito. I explained to her that she must have misunderstood me. However, that just wasn't going to be enough for her, she walked into the kitchen and said out loud, :"SHE DIDN'T ORDER A BURRITO." I've eaten here three times (drive thru). I'm always disappointed. The only reason I've been three times is because it's open early in the morning. First of all, it's really expensive. We ordered breakfast burritos two of them and our bill was like $26.00! They are full of potatoes and skimpy on the meat and cheese, and taste like they have been in the microwave, (and they slipped me a whole wheat tortilla ! ) I also do not like their coffee. The older lady that works in there is rude. I always leave here mad, so I will never go back. I don't like to leave bad reviews, I've tried hard to like this place but just, NO. Such a cute little coffee shop/cafe! It was recommended to us as we were visiting Pagosa Springs for a quick breakfast before hitting the road home. The staff were great to talk to and their food didn't disappoint. My waffle was on the pricey side but it tasted delicious. The "hash browns" are more like home fries but they were seasoned and tasty so I didn't mind. My friend loved her breakfast burrito and we both liked our coffee drinks--they have lots of unique flavors. Definitely recommend a stop in! read more

If pour overs, nitro-infused cold brew and uncomfortable laptop benches and tables define the modern cafe experience, Boulder Coffee Cafe (me thinks they should have named it the Boulder Java Cuppa Joe Caffeine Coffee Cafe) absolutely illustrates what a cafe in the boonies should look, feel and taste like. We were treated to a heapin' helpin' of tasty food, perfectly interesting coffee and plenty of good old fashioned hospitality in this place, and it's highly recommended. The three of us got down on a dirty chai, Cubano Americano (specialty drink, not bad!), pancakes, waffles and yet another massively stupid Colorado decision, a breakfast burrito. I'm not going to hold it against this place, it was just fine, good eggs and bacon, but I gotta stop getting my hopes up for solid green chile in Bronco country. Christ, Colorado chile is always so flat, and the black olives(?) that garnished the wrap provided particularly mysterious flare. Ambiance includes everything you know you're missing, kitschy antiques, plenty of naturalist art (most of it for sale), board games and kids games, comfortable couches and chairs, and a selection of reading materials that appear to be the lesser-known cousins of the Idiot Guides. Warning; this place takes forever. Don't get fooled by the fact they have a drive-thru, like I did; it's not a grab-and-go place. There were only 2 cars ahead of me, but it still took 20 min to get to the window where I sat for another 5 min while they ignored me. I finally pressed the service buzzer, and the guy told me it would be a while before they could take my order. Luckily i stopped him as he tried to shut the window and asked him how long it would take to get served, and he said 40 minutes! Who pulls into a drive-thru expecting to spend over an hour to get a coffee? This was a Monday morning during mud season! Maybe there were extraordinary issues he didn't mention, but I suggested that if they are that backed up, they should put up a sign so you're not literally trapped in the drive-thru line when you have to be somewhere in the next half a day or so! read more

This is my first time ever leaving a review and I'm sad it has to be a negative one. This cafe was great for probably 99% of the other customers. However, we were told a 30 minute wait and did not get our food for over an hour. They never checked on us during this time so I had to walk up and ask for a status update. They did not offer a refund and apologized for being short staffed. They had completely forgot/misplaced our order. We promptly received our food in 5 minutes. However, my girlfriend's potatoes were completely frozen and my sandwich was missing the veggies that was advertised on the menu. You pay upfront and we tipped 20%. We came away feeling robbed. I should have asked for a refund but felt some sympathy because this is a mom and pop operation. read more

We stopped here on the way out of town this morning, hoping to grab a coffee and sandwich to go. I'm not sure I have ever seen a more disorganized situation in my life! It was obvious from the time we walked in that they didn't have their act together as it took 10 minutes just to place our order...but then we waited 30 minutes for our food to come out. We had a 6 hour drive in front of us and were anxious to get on the road. We asked several people about Our order, and none of them would give us an answer. Finally a woman came out and said how can I help you. When I told her what happened she said will take care of it for you but didn't offer any explanation. Well apparently somehow our order had never been placed. She told us to give her five minutes and she would get the order out. 10 minutes later she brought out our sandwiches, and we were in such a hurry that we didn't check to make sure they were right. When we finally opened them up, they were not what we ordered, but we didn't have time to go back. There was no graciousness on their part nor any offer to compensate us for their mistake. So I can't officially rate their food, since I only watched my friends wolf down their breakfasts, but it is a really cute place with lots to offer, food- and coffee-/tea-/hot-chocolate-wise. One in our group had the quiche, another had biscuits and gravy, another bacon, eggs, and toast. It all looked really good, and they all cleaned their plates. The major ding is because of the slooooow service. The place was pretty busy, but the kitchen people couldn't keep up. I noticed quite a number of times where the server brought food out and kept repeating, "Thank you for your patience," to customers who had waited an inordinately long time for their food. Oh well - it was a one-time stop for me, since we were just passing through town. I wish them well and hope they pull things together to improve. read more

Gorgeous, welcoming coffee shop. It's on the main road a bit out of town but worth the drive. Sunny and spacious, the staff is super nice. I ordered tea and the fruit cup and uploaded a picture of it (arrived cut into slivers and arranged in the cup). Definitely stopping here next time I pass through. read more
