    Patria biscuits and gravy
    Stephanie C.

Patria is a very cute, quaint brunch spot in Pagosa Springs. We stopped in around 11:30 a.m. on a weekday and were pleasantly surprised that it wasn't busy at all. Since they're relatively new, having opened in 2025, it was great to see such a welcoming atmosphere. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and seated immediately. The service was friendly and attentive, and our food came out incredibly fast. For drinks, we ordered an Americano and the Breakfast Latte. The latte was absolutely divine and is a must-order if you visit. For food, we tried the Patria Biscuits & Gravy and the Patria Loco Moco. The biscuits and gravy were excellent. The biscuits were soft, tender, and flavorful, while the gravy was rich and satisfying. It was a very filling dish. The Loco Moco was also enjoyable, and I appreciated the addition of green chile, which gave the dish a nice twist and added some much-needed flavor. Without it, I think the dish would have been a little bland. Overall, we had a great experience. Between the welcoming service, delicious drinks, and tasty food, I'd definitely come back and try more items on the menu.

Back for the summer, had to come back to Patria. Just like the first time the food was excellent, as well as the service. I started off with the Lavender Honey latte - delicious! I very much enjoyed the cinnamon crunch French toast. The combination between the French toast with cinnamon crunch pieces, strawberries, whip cream and syrup - amazing! Finished with a side of sausage (for protein), which was also excellent. Very friendly ambiance, great energy amongst all the guest.

Lots of restaurants say they provide a welcoming atmosphere, but Patria is the first place I've genuinely felt as though I was being greeted as an old friend when walking in. Owner Matt and his wife Tasha could not have been more welcoming, in a "friend, we're so glad to see you again" way (despite having never met us before), and not a creepy, cloying way at all. My husband and I went twice in three days for breakfast and had great food and wonderful service both times. The food was cooked to order. The wait wasn't long at all. We love their selection of teas and heartily recommend the Tropical Green tea and the Passionfruit tea. I like a standard breakfast, and their Patria Plus Breakfast of two outstandingly delicious sweet cream pancakes, perfectly cooked bacon, scrambled eggs, and well-seasoned house potatoes was a winner. Their Biscuits and Gravy is huge and filling. We absolutely needed a box for leftovers with that one. The candied bacon, made presumably with a homemade sweet chili sauce, was sinfully delectable and addictive. The Croissant Smashburger with added avocado hit the spot. I highly recommend Patria as a place to try when you are visiting Pagosa Springs. We are new to the community and are thrilled to find a quality eating destination for us.

This very sweet cafe is located on the far side of the street from the East. We were greeted by a 10-year old who has impeccable manners and clearly the soul of a 30 year old high class maitre d'! He sat us on the patio after asking our preference. We both ordered the Patria Breakfast. BTW- They have gluten free bread!! The food did take a minute, but it was worth the wait! I also ordered the Green Latte with green juice, honey and oatmilk.. VERY good! Forgot to get a Pic. Served hot or iced.

Honest review only - me and my friend did not like this place at all. Our food was brought to us after an hour wait, breakfast potatoes were cold, burnt and over salted, lattes were lukewarm, my friends semi-liked grilled cheese, but their burger croissants were over salted and dry. Our server seemed rude throughout the whole experience, also lots of kids working there that created a feeling of chaos. When asked about check we were not given a paper copy with a breakdown we were just charged for the food and it looked like the tip was already added to the total which we were not aware of. Overall I do not recommend this place

What can I say about Patria other than I think it's the best breakfast I've had in a long time! This food is crave worthy! I had the Breakfast Chicken Wrap, hubby had the Breakfast Wrap with bacon, and daughter had the yogurt parfait. The portion sizes were perfect. Not too big, but filling and satisfying. The staff are friendly and welcoming in a genuine way, not just out of politeness. If it weren't such a long drive from Fort Collins, I would come here as often as I could. If 10 stars were a thing, this would be the place! Hurry, go check out this local family owned restaurant.

While on vacation, we were underwhelmed by the breakfast options at the resort we are staying at and decided to give Patria a try based on the reviews and the menu online. Boy are we glad we did! What a great find! I had the lavender honey latte and my husband had the Thin Mint Latte and both were delicious! My Pagosa Loco Moco was reminiscent of the Hawaiian staple but with a twist of a green chile sauce. My husband also enjoyed his breakfast, the Patria Breakfast which included eggs, potatoes, toast and choice of meat. I would highly recommend Patria to anyone visiting or living in Pagosa Springs.

This place has the nicest most welcoming people I've come across in the area. They had a few kids helping bring out the food which is really adorable. The food tasted very fresh and delicious! We got a couple lattes and they were the best we've had during our stay at Pagosa Springs. This was by far our favorite spot in town and we will be coming back with more people!

    Latte!

Loved our meal at Patria today! First time in but won't be our last. We all ordered Patria + entrees - they were so yum! Loved that I could sub avocado for the potatoes!! Made it a little healthier - lol. The pancakes and latte were our favorites but ultimately it was the service that most impressed us. We were greeted warmly and felt so welcomed. Service was attentive and caring. Have not felt that welcome in a restaurant in a long time. Thank you for a great meal!

Breakfast latte, the patria latte and honey bee were also stellar espresso drinks!

Brunch options are the most well known but I think they'd be good for other meal times too. I personally got the Liege Belgian waffle with strawberries, banana, and whip cream and I thought it was absolutely amazing. The pearl sugar, the textures, and flavors! One of my favorite waffles I've ever had. I will be thinking about this whenever I crave a waffle in the future. Just the right amount of sweetness and crunch! My friend got the Hash Smash bowl. I got to taste a small bite and I found the aioli sauce to be delicious. Speaking of sauces, they have hot sauce buckets with a bunch of different ones to try. I found that very nice that they offer that and let people try a bunch of sauces they otherwise might not have had that chance to try otherwise. Also very interesting and unexpected that they happen to have boba drinks in this part of town. FYI though, their boba isn't soaked in syrup so it's bland if your drink isn't quite sugar heavy enough itself. Highly recommend the restaurant look into that and soak their bobas to take the drinks to the next level. Lastly, their menu seems to change quite often and the pics on yelp don't reflect the current menu anymore. You may see dishes/drinks missing or on there that you didn't expect.

Again not overly sweet for all of the goodness added to it. Great atmosphere & service. This place I'm sure stays busy. On a side note: people bring their dogs here & watching them take Scooby poops on the patio & beyond made me inside seating for me please! I was so hungry I didn't get a pic of my plate this time... next time for sure because I will be back!

After having pulled an all-nighter then stopping by Four Corners before breakfast, we were both hungry and the street designers, combined with navigation difficulties led me to play "ask a local", who guided us to #thelonespurcafe. The decor was pretty cool and reminded us of an old-western man cave. Having multiple factors working against me, my narcolepsy and cataplexy on full blast and I was actually afraid to fall asleep at the table especially as REM intrusions can't be fought off easily. Thankfully the coldness of the iced tea along with chugging water helped the sleepiness. I ran this review a little differently than usual, directing this review towards our waitress, Stevie, who turned out to be a good sport despite my playing the difficult but friendly customer. If you've never worked as a server, you really shouldn't judge them harshly on little mistakes (like forgetting a drink - what's more important is that they remember at some point soon after!!) because the job is much harder than it seems and there's a lot going on behind the scenes that customers don't know . The bowl of chili (smaller than we expected) accompanied by the biscuit restored my energy and turned out to be the perfect 1 pm breakfast! Definitely 4/5. We're looking forward to coming back for some real breakfast in the future... #gourmetrecovery #sundayrestaurantreview #narcolepsyawareness #cataplexyawareness #benicetowaitstaff
