Each visit became a running joke: "Maybe today?" This morning, sweet victory, and a candid from my partner. The apple fritter was finally there waiting for me, and the first bite immediately transported me back in time to being a little kid standing at the donut counter in my local Bashas. Warm, nostalgic, perfectly indulgent, and absolutely worth the wait. If you're lucky enough to get one before they're gone, do it. Apparently, the locals already know what they're doing.
