They informed me today that they will no longer be selling Steep because they raised their prices. They are now selling allegro as their drip, and when asked if using corporate coffee would lower the price of their drip, they said no. As far as I'm concerned this is disingenuous and a pretty bad hustle. Other complaints include no visible pricing and random price switching (due to the lack of transparency). We will not be back. Please consider supporting the Steep roasting company ten minutes up the road, you can get a fresh bag for 2/3 the price that higher grounds sells it for anyway.

Plenty of parking out front and seating inside, and they have a sister boutique next door that opens a little later in the morning and has cute stuff too. Overall if I pass through Pagosa springs again anytime soon I'll be coming back here!

After having pulled an all-nighter then stopping by Four Corners before breakfast, we were both hungry and the street designers, combined with navigation difficulties led me to play "ask a local", who guided us to #thelonespurcafe. The decor was pretty cool and reminded us of an old-western man cave. Having multiple factors working against me, my narcolepsy and cataplexy on full blast and I was actually afraid to fall asleep at the table especially as REM intrusions can't be fought off easily. Thankfully the coldness of the iced tea along with chugging water helped the sleepiness. I ran this review a little differently than usual, directing this review towards our waitress, Stevie, who turned out to be a good sport despite my playing the difficult but friendly customer. If you've never worked as a server, you really shouldn't judge them harshly on little mistakes (like forgetting a drink - what's more important is that they remember at some point soon after!!) because the job is much harder than it seems and there's a lot going on behind the scenes that customers don't know . The bowl of chili (smaller than we expected) accompanied by the biscuit restored my energy and turned out to be the perfect 1 pm breakfast! Definitely 4/5. Black Bart's Brunch is a true local gem! The depth of spices and creative food offerings is a treasure for our little town of Pagosa where bar food is the norm. The food is excellent and reasonably priced. Fav dish is the ramen with pork belly-the broth is rich and the presentation is a work of art. I go once a week and am never disappointed. The owner's are down to earth, customer service oriented and all around good people. Really grateful that they are at the Pagosa Peak Open School. What a creative way to utilize this space-Thank you PPOS for helping support a small business who provides a much needed food option in our little town. read more

Don't be fooled by the location. Best food and service we have had on our trip. Breakfast waffles and sandwiches were so good! Iced lattes were great. Customer service was top tier. Very nice people. Prices were very affordable. High recommend read more

When I informed the waitress Allison, about this instead of her apologizing and replacing that one egg, she began to lecture me on how I did not order properly. She sent over the owner who was lovely and very accommodating A++ The food itself, the pancakes, the bacon, Home fries (with the exception of the runny egg) was very good and tasty. If you dine here I would avoid the server named Alison, who needs an attitude adjustment.
